if you are going to try this quest take a group or atleast a tank these guys hit hard and are hard to solo just to warn you.

It is possible to solo. Either Curse of Doom and then 30 Second banish and then 20 second banish, and then run for 10 seconds..rinse and repeat...or if you are a Affliction Lock, Curse of Exhaustion them and kite em around.

Not too bad to do as a group. We did it with a group of three: Pally (tanking and healing), Druid (DPS as Moonkin) and a destruction Warlock. Took about 1 hour to get all 5. Got the Eye of Shadow directly after the last drop (we stayed to grind a bit) which was a nice bonus.

Did it as 69 Affliction Warlock and it's quite easy since all mobs seem to be fearable. This was much less annoying than the Dire Maul part, even though the drop rate is kinda bad, took about 20-30 minutes in total.

Coords to Darkwhisper Gorge start at 59,73 in Winterspring

Easy at 70. The mobs are 59 and 60 elites. Keep them feared and dotted and u have nothing to worry about. Not a great droprate, but its a lot less hasle than the dire maul quest.

i tried to enslave these demons and it would not work. the enslave debuff was put on them, the chains graphics was drawn around them, it consumed a shard, but i was not given control

Be mindful of patroling mobs. They walk long distances, and tend to show up at exactly the wrong moments...

Did this quest today as 75 demonology warlock. This quest was cake,as my felguard with ARCANITE REAPER! can solo all monsters.. and i just dotted the demons. easy as pie.

If you're a lower level, be sure to remember to apply Curse of Elements, the hederines appear at least moderately shadow resistant.

I did this quest at lvl 64, it was extremely easy, use a little sense and don't attack a mob next to another mob though, and wait for pats or make your demon run away from pats if they start getting close, but other than that, there really isn't much to it, and to give you a sense of just how easy it was, I was (barely) able to kill one of these guys at lvl 57 (just to see if I could) as demo (probably can't do it as anything else, your demon can take significantly less damage if you aren't demo, and clothies can't take much damage, so your pet really has to tank this one) if you're level 80 though, do what you want :P

Also, the drop rate didn't seem so bad, had to clear two and a half of those little "cells" on the map to get all 5.

I say the Mobs should scale 1 lvl lower to 1 lvl higher then your current lvl, so you get some difficulty in working for a fair amount of Gold + Doomguard.

Im a level 80 Warlock/ not sure if this is a repost or not. but at the cords 50,83 IN THE FAR BACK of the gorge by hyjal there is a cave with a portal instance in it. Could this be the new entrance to hyjal ? Pst wat you think this stange portal may be

This quest is being removed in 4.0.1 with spell "Summon Doomguard" learned at level 58.

The Ritual of Doomguard is no more.
