Datamined Cosmetic Hood, Robe, and Staff of the Guardian Medivh on the 10.0.7 PTR

We've datamined a handful of intriguing appearances which suggest a new transmog set themed after the the Guardian Medivh, master of Karazhan!

No appearances have been found to go along with the items just yet, although while Medivh is rarely seen in World of Warcraft, he's been featured quite prominently in outside media and other Blizzard games. Frequently depicted with a hood and a cloak lined with dark feathers, ravens are a large part of his iconography, even including the ability to turn into a raven for fast travel, though there is some ambiguity over whether that's one of Medivh's abilities or granted from his staff.
His appearances vary across different media, but the Guardian is frequently described as hooded and mysterious, with a raven feathered cloak.
His staff is particularly well known to players though, as
Atiesh, Granbastone del Guardiano
is a now unobtainable legendary which caster classes could reconstruct by painstakingly collecting pieces of the splintered staff from bosses within the originally Naxxramas. Canonically, the staff is now in the hands of Medivh's former apprentice, Khadgar, who has also inherited the ability to turn into a Raven at will. Unfortunately, this is just a cosmetic collection though, so it's unlikely players will be able to do the same!
Although the headpiece looked a little different back in Vanilla WoW, spectral ravens also periodically circle the staff's wielder.
Although we don't know when these items will become available, we do know that they'll be sold in the Trading Post, as we've already datamined prices for each item, alongside several other
pieces datamined from the Patch 10.0.7 PTR
.
For those who don't know the history of Warcraft, Medivh is an extremely important character within the setting, though his actions took place long before the World of Warcraft timeline. Once titled the last Guardian of Tirisfal, he came from a great line of mages charged to protect Azeroth against the machinations of the Burning Legion. Unbeknownst to all, however, Medivh had been possessed before birth the spirit of Sargeras, which would haunt the Mage's life and set in motion a chain of events that would open the Dark Portal - bringing the Horde to Azeroth. Although slain by Khadgar and Anduin Lothar during the first Great War, Medivh would return to Azeroth free of his former corruption during the Third War, guiding Thrall, Malfurian Stormrage, and Jaina Proudmoore to join forces against Archimonde and the Burning Legion.
Having saved the world from this threat, Medivh vanished, though a piece of his spirit would remain within Karazhan, guiding Khadgar to take up his staff and the mantle of Guardian.
