Great gem for boss fights (since you need 16% spell hit to max damage). I will be glad to get a few of these.

Yep this gem will beintroduced in patch 2.1
Imo this is a great raiding gem, since x hit rating > x spell dmg, as long as you haven't hit the hit cap ofcourse. As said, +hit will stay good up to 15% in bossfights (+1% hit from draenei ^^)

One of 5 green gem recipes "added" in Patch 2.1 -- unfortunately without adding any means to obtain it. :-/

UPDATE! :) Recipes are available as of Patch 2.2!

The drop locations are not fully understood at this time. The recipes are BOE, which tends to mean "world drop" in TBC, but so far they've only been found off mobs in Blade's Edge Plateau.

That the design for this drops from summoned mobs is ridiculous, both this and the Great Golden Draenite thingy drops from those, and those are imo good temporary gems for casters..

It seems like these new jewelcrafting recipes are available only from the various 5-man mobs in the Flying Mount only areas of Blade's Edge Mountains. Check the link of any of the Designs below for list. The Drop Rates are off, due the mobs being killed before the recipes could drop. So farm up some Apexis Shards, get some guildies/friends into a group (the recipes are BoE, so no need for a Jewelcrafter), and run through as much as you can.
