You know how people warn you "Characters not on this quest fight this mob too, so the drop rates are way off"?

This is not the case.
Drop rates are pretty much horrible for this quest.

*shrug* killed 20 mobs, got 18 blood..dunno what to do with the extra 6 though.

Does it help if you get 1 blood, use it at hte cauldron and get another blood? or does it takes longer to get all the blood or faster?

Even in chains with excellent rewards at the end (in this case: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31717, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31720, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31718, and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31719), quests like this one make you stop and wonder whether the reward is even worth it.

Why is it so hard for Blizzard to just make a quest's droprate realistic once in a while? How wrong would it be to give things like blood and heads a 100% drop rate?

The drop rate seems to have improved somewhat.
Or i am too lucky which seems unlikely.
