this doesnt look anything like the other items of the quest. it looks like pile of dirt and for me it spawned under the second bridge. searched the whole area for 30-40 mins before I found it as all the other items spawned level with the bridge.

Gave up and as I was heading out I saw it BEHIND THE TREE at the base of the path leading up to the quest givers. what a sucky location.

I found it behind the tree leading up to the quest givers. Lucky I found it with out having to look around to much for it.

This spawned for me at coordinates 35 47. It was on a plateau in the middle of the excavation site. However, I also saw it at the far end of the site, near the tents. Good luck.

I found it at 34.7, 52.5, the section BEHIND Sarltooth's ledge. Only way I found to it was to jump down from Sarltooth's ledge, dig it up, then jump down to the floor of the excavation. To quote 100aces, "what a sucky location" and then some!

Searched about 30 minutes before I found it at 34,2 47,7 but when i collected it i found it immideatly at 33.1 46.3

Be sure to check up on the platform where Sarltooth spawns, that's where I found it.

Was getting kind of PO'd before I read this... and indeed for me it was right behind the large tree on the way to/from the questgiver at the top of the hill from the bridge.

And then when I went back for the quest to kill 10 Mottled Scythclawes and 10 Mottled Razormaws, it was in the large indentation between the two small bridges between two of the bricklike structures.

Another place to check for this or other fragments:

Go up to sarltooth and kill him or stealth past. fall down the small ledge right behind him. I found this fragment there.

If the mound is right next to Sarltooth, and you are currently on Part 2 of Ormer's Revenge (Kill 10 Mottled Scytheclaw and Mottled Razormaw) - I'd suggest turning that quest in and getting Part 3 of Ormer's Revenge (Kill Sarltooth) to prevent having to wait for him to respawn.
