To get this pet, you must first acquire the Derelict Sunglass from Mudgatu from the Serene Dreams Spa just north of Valdrakken. Once you turn the quest in, follow the quest giver over to the floating island and talk to him where he's lying on the floor. He'll spawn a mud mask that runs off to the tree branch located behind the large bronze dragon Barozdormu. Jump onto the tree branch and the quest Special Treatment will become available, awarding you the pet once you turn the quest in to Zeldis.

Notably, the pet journal display of its model is not quite right-- the actual pet has pink sunglasses that make it look like a cocky idiot. I've named mine Melee Brain because it looks like my brain when I greed a GCD, and it's my new spirit animal.

If you can't get the Derelict Sunglass to drop from Mudgatu, you probably already got it and handed them in.
You need to speak with Zeldis at /way 39.5, 48.4 to continue the quest chain.
After speaking with him he will go to /way 39.33, 46.80
Talk with Zeldis and the Mud Mask will spawn and steal his sunglasses, follow the MudMask to /way 38.59, 46.42
Accept the quest from the pet, return the quest to Zeldis and you get the pet as a reward
