very hard to obtain these days --- no one runs UBRS anymore -- thus no killing of The Beast. And he is not one that is easily soloable. I get owned with my 70 feral druid, but then again I may be bad.

It will probably fetch a pretty penny on the AH since no one runs UBRS anymore.

If you're wanting this item you need at least 3 people to get past one of the rooms, 1 healer and 2 dps(don't really need a tank but just 1 of the dps in mail or better would be recommended). You or one of the people in your group needs a http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12344 (if no one in the group has it you will need to do the quest for it, it starts fromhttp://www.wowhead.com/?npc=10296). I got this card on my fifth attempt and man i love this and will never be without it...when I'm raid buffed this thing gives me more mana then a mana potion when it procs(without an alchemist stone).

I would recommend getting the deck for spirit healers, although if you don't want to farm it you will most likely have to pay 1k+ for the ace since no one does UBRS anymore. However, the other cards (2-8) are fairly cheap. I bought most of the others from 4-15g each.

note: This trinket can proc back to back times...no internal cooldown with it. Sometimes ill be around 2000 mana, this card will proc back to back for around 3200 mana each proc and give me around a full mana bar.

Great for any healer, including resto druids. If you do find a group to do UBRS and you have cards 2-8 in the set do not expect others to pass, they will need on it just to sell immediately in trade channel. By the way, don't group with "Warlook" on Silvermoon ;-(

After a couple days of exploring LBRS and getting the key for UBRS (see http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12344#comments for more info), my roommates and I (a 70 resto druid, a 70 aff lock, and a 63 prot warrior) downed The Beast and got this card on our first try. We had no trouble with the first boss, used invisibility potions to get through the infamous Rookery (just to make things a little more simple), and by-passed Goraluk Anvilcrack.

Going up the stairs towards the Stadium, there is a passage off to the right that should be cleared before starting the Warchief event (ie: don't go to the top of the stairs and jump down into the arena). Failing to do so resulted in our group wiping the first time after additional mobs (in addition to the waves that spawn during the event) entered the Stadium with the Warchief and his mount, Gyth.

After that event, getting to The Beast was simple. Follow the passages beyond the now-open gate near where you entered the Stadium. Kill things accordingly. Also, it's worth noting that after the Warchief event, all dragonkin are highly resistant if not immune to a Druid's Hibernate spell. At the first T-intersection you find, there should be a raid entrance on your left. Go right, and take the next left in the next large chamber you come to. There should be a row of bonfires and fleshy ribcages on the ground.

The fight itself was pretty easy, especially with my instant-cast HoT's, which can still be cast while sailing through the air after the Beast charges you. And he will. A lot. Falling damage was between 800-1500 after each charge that knocked someone up into the air. The fight takes place in a fairly large, open chamber, so LOS shouldn't be a problem, just keep heals and casting within range as best you can, and have your tank keep their back fairly close to a wall, which will make it much easier to maintain aggro. Then, just cross your fingers and hope for the drop.

From the start of the instance to the end of the fight with The Beast only took us a little under 90 minutes, so we will probably be farming this little auction house gem in the future. Good luck and happy hunting!

personally on my server the card is both rare and not very much wanted anymore.

however i was hell bent on getting the card for my priest.

since no one runs ubrs anymore if you have a 70 stealthie you can do what i did and go in trade saying you want to hire 2 70 druids or rouges.

you can stealth in kill pyroguard emberseer,warchief rend blackhand,and gyth no problem but the beast himself is a lil' more of a threat with his punting around and aggro that seemed to always go toward the healer if one is in party,but nothing 3 70s cant overcome,even if one of the team members dies by then the beast is almost dead and the 2 left can send him on his way.

all in all,bout a 30 min run with a good party.

i hired quite a few mercenaries this way and did at least 12 runs b4 the card dropped(i lost count)and paid my hires 20-40g depending on agreement made prior to run.

farmable with friends:yes.

recommended farming item:definite maybe.

thing seems like it drops close to never,and i'd hate to have to have to go through another dozen runs to get another card.

30 mins x 12 runs = 6 hrs(thats a part time job!)if you're good,and if you're lucky.

and on my server its both hard to get through runs or people that jus' have some lyin' around in the guild bank and hard to sell at a reasonable price you believe to be fair if you do indeed come into possession of one because people seem to not understand the bullsh!t you gotta' go through to get this.

and unless you got sum hardcore farmers with you,ppl get bored of farmin' this place kinda quick.

but this is just how i got it on my server,if you can find an easier way on yours,more power to ya,but i sure as hell didn't.

Well I had run UBRS twice on my Druid before purely for fun. And yet today a mage from my guild asked me if I could help him get the Ace of Beasts for his Shadow Priest (Since I have the Seal of Ascention). So I said yea sure and we went there along with an Ench. Shammy friend. Did it in probably 15 minutes and BAM Ace of Beasts along with Pristine Hide of the Beast once I skinned it ;) Damn luck never ends :D

Just afer 3.0.8 hit, I could enter UBRS without the seal, I didn't need 2 others to release the 1st boss, and was able to reach The Beast on my own. Killed him, and looted the Ace of Beasts that I wanted to obtain for my resto druid for a year now. I have read nothing in the patchnotes about this change, but it seems you can now farm UBRS solo.

easily soloed with my 80 druid, half naxx 25 and half 10, feral tank specced (my own build for bonus damage = 2k dps easy in heroics) still no luck with this dropping
