Best and easiest way to farm this, easily within 10 minutes in a 5 man group is go to South East Zereth Mortis where Helmix spawns. Farm Annelid Mudborer Coordinates 55.67 76.33, keep going down the road after killing them all, kill all the Native Cervids, rewind, until you have your 150 Protoplasmic Thread, boom done, not even a 10 minute grind!

I got 16 threads per chest. took me less than 5 mins to get all 150. Every chest I looted always had 16 in them.

Vespid workers and scarabid burrowers outside Pilgram's Grace (near Feasting) are great for farming. There are a lot, and they do not do much damage.

Took me 20min solo to farm the Annelid Mudborers on the road heading south of the Helmix spawn point

I think my account is bugged or something. I have been running missions in Zereth Mortis for 2 days in war mode and Protoplasmic Thread has not dropped once.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

For those wondering why it's not dropping, you need to have war mode enabled.

Resonant Peaks, 49.29... the place where you collect Cosmic Energy. There's NPC's helping you fight, the mobs don't do a huge amount of damage and they respawn pretty quickly.
