Not usable with Mindbender. The glyph will stay applied to shadowfiend if you switch to Mindbender and back.

Now with the latest prepatch for phase 2 of Dragonflight, they've fixed the bug with Shadow so now even glyphed Mindbender works. On top of it finally being fixed it now takes over for Mindbender if you have Shadowfiend glyphed. Basically the glyph works on Mindbender. You may have to untalent Mindbender, use vanishing powder on the Shadowfiend, reapply glyph then talent into Mindbender again to get it to work but I can confirm it does work.

If you are in shadow specialization, and are not able to apply this glyph, remove your "Mindbender" talent point, and save your talents. Apply the glyph to your baseline "Shadowfiend" spell, talent back into "Mindbender", and save your talents.

Even though there will not be new glyph information when hovering over your "Mindbender" spell, there will now be the purple arrow in the top-right of the icon to indicate that this glyph was successfully applied to the spell.

It's been nearly 2 years and I cannot remove this damn glyph appearance to have my Mindbender again. It's really ridiculous that so much time has passed and this issue has not been fixed yet. I just want my damn squid back :(
