About the Author
My name is Guiltyas, I raid in Pure on Turalyon Horde, where I recently passed Trial. I've played feral since Wrath when I picked it up as main. I'm well respected in the Feral community and you can find me talking about Feral (passionately) in a few different places,
Twitter
, my
stream
, and of course the
Dreamgrove Discord
!
I enjoy walks on the beach and this is really what makes me reliable on the subject of Ferals! I do not own a cat :(
Recommended Gear for Feral Druid in Shadowlands
What is the BiS Feral Druid gear?
With many different sources of gearing and loot scarcity in Shadowlands, targeting your absolute Best in Slot gear isn't entirely realistic; instead, we've created a Best in Slot list from the ideal Feral Druid raid drops found in Shadowlands, from Mythic Dungeons, to help you decide what to prioritize.
These lists should give you several gearing paths in Season 2 including
, Mythic+, and
. Give the following guide a read to learn about all gearing options in Shadowlands Season 2.

Sepulcher of the First Ones Best in Slot Gear for Feral Druid
Note the that list below doesn't list legendary pieces. Patch 9.2 will add support to double legendaries, so two of these slots will be covered by legendary pieces and not normal raid ones. These slots will usually be one of your tier slots and Waist, you can learn more about them in our Feral Druid legendary guide

Sepulcher of the First Ones Tier Set Bonuses for Feral Druid
For Feral Druids in Sepulcher of the First Ones, our tier set bonus revolves around reducing the CD of Berserk and empowering the cast of berserk with a Damage over Time proc.
Tapestry of the Fixed Stars
(2-Set) Each combo point spent reduces the cooldown of Incarnation: King of the Jungle or Berserk by 0.5 sec.
(4-Set) Entering Berserk causes you to strike all nearby enemies, dealing (320.2% of Attack power) Bleed damage over 10 sec. Deals reduced damage beyond 8 targets.
Our tier set bonus,
Tapestry of the Fixed Stars
, is comprised of the following items from Sepulcher of the First Ones:
(Helm -
)
(Shoulders -
Lords of Dread
)
(Chest -
)
(Gloves -
)
(Legs -
)
To unlock the tier set bonus, you'll need to equip 4 pieces of the tier set. Feral Druids prefer equipping tier pieces on
Helm
,
Shoulder
,
Legs
, and
Gloves
. However, you can use any 4 combination of the five pieces, aiming to achieve the highest overall item level while still maintaining the tier set bonus as well as your maximum number of legendaries.

Mythic+ Best in Slot Gear for Feral Druid
This is the best gear setup available from Mythic+ , considering only M+ gear. In reality the best gear setup will likely contain some raid and M+ pieces, and the presence of different M+ pieces may change the priority of raid pieces

Best Feral Druid Trinkets in Shadowlands
Since the addition of M+ trinket selection has become increasingly complicated, you don't have to consider just raid trinkets but now a huge range of item levels for mythic + trinkets as well. Any M+ trinkets not mentioned here aren't worth considering.
Some trinkets are not implemented on PTR and thus aren't implemented on simc either! these rankings may change with new information
Due to gear being able to scale in a variety of content (Mythic+ and Raid), I'll typically list out the overall ranking of trinkets in order assuming equal iLvl. Significant item level differences will influence your selection.

PvP
At rival and higher (so 1800) this trinket is the 2nd best trinket you can obtain, worse only than the one trinket above it in this list.
S
At peak performance this trinket is about as good as it gets, it's advisable to use a weakaura to track the buff you're likely to get however sometimes you just won't allways get the full benefit, in that instance it may be better to use another trinket.

Pray for this from your weekly box, even after it's small nerf it's still one of the best possible choices.

Trinket Comparison
For a comparison on damage contribution from trinkets, you can use the below simulation data:
Best Items to Upgrade with Valor Points for Feral Druid in Shadowlands
Points is a currency used by players to upgrade items from Mythic+ Dungeons, either from running Mythic Keystones or from the Great Vault, up to item level 272. Similarly to
, Valor has a cap that is increased every week during the Season.
You can obtain Valor by completing Mythic+ dungeons or completing daily callings. You can learn more about Valor in our in-depth guide.
Earning and Spending Valor Points
When upgrading Mythic+ items to 220 with
, you'll prioritize items that give you the most value, which tends to be weapons and trinkets. I've noted the strongest selections for these gear slots below. It's also worth noting that it's unlikely to be worth it to pick items that fill your domination socket slots.
You'll then want to prioritize gear slots with higher stat budgets like helms, chests, and legs, especially if these gear slots are some of your lowest item level gear pieces. Next will be shoulders, gloves, belt, and boots.

Notes
Trinkets
One of the best trinkets available to Ferals, there's nothing complicated in it's use it just adds a lot of damage on proc.
Another good trinket that just boils down to a good damage proc.
While in some situations this trinket can be a bit of a simbait it's by far the best option when it triggers optimally, and competitive even wh en it does not.
Weapons
This is the best itemized feral weapon available from dungeons.
This is the 2nd best itemised feral weapon from dungeons.
Items to Prioritize in the Great Vault for Feral Druid in Shadowlands
When selecting your weekly reward from the Great Vault, you'll prefer higher item level pieces when possible. Prioritize weapons early, since they give the most throughput for a single item upgrade. High priority trinkets will be your next best option, followed by items with a higher stat budget (typically Helms, Chests, and Legs followed by Shoulders, Gloves, Belt, and Boots).
Continue to favor high stat budget items over low stat ones. If there's a particular item in your gear set with a low item level then you can also select that over making minor item level upgrades to other pieces. As a bit of a cheat sheet:
Weapons → High Value Trinkets → High Stat Budget Gear (Helms, Chests, and Legs) → Large Item Level Upgrades → Everything Else
