This trinket is a reward from the quest "Ever After" which is given and completed with the "Rugged Traveler" hidden NPC inside of BRD.

Apparently if you die during the fall, the NPC will not be there. We jumped and some of the party members died, had to reset the dungeon and run it again.

Anyone else have an issue where they can't see the rainbow effect or am I missing something?

To get this you need to take so many precautions and the NPC might still bug out or despawn... after a lot of trial and error here are some tips:

No deaths or wipes allowed to be sure that doesn't trigger any funky NPC despawns.

Make sure everyone in the group deletes any old Wanted Notice (check bank to be sure).
Fresh instance ID
Clear mobs on your way to the Arena until you get a fresh
Everybody READ the Wanted Notice (right click item in bag)
Do the Arena event
Head upstairs and clear up until the part BEFORE the bridge

Now we managed to get a working ID sending just one player over the bridge to pull the mobs back so we could clear it out before three players leave the instance and leave the group...

Some say it's safer to have only two players left in the instance and group before even crossing the bridge.
The later strat means you have to run and skip the mobs and make the little trickjump on the fly so it's a bit more stressful.
Invis pots, Swiftness pots and Noggenfogger Elixir could be useful here if you go for the "run and skip mobs"-strat.

Now no matter what strat you go for, MAX TWO PEOPLE inside the instance and group before you drop down to the Rugged Traveler. This means the other three people have to run back and exit the instance and leave group.

Once this is done we had one player waiting on the bridge (clear mobs strat) and ONE player do the jump and drop down alone to trigger the RP of the NPC, and it will take a while to finish so don't stress out, but eventually you will be able to interact with him and do the dialogue option, and after that the quest will appear.
After this the second player dropped down and could also complete the quest.

I don't know if you have to do all the steps in the checklist but it is we did to finally get it working.
If you have one player heart out another can then re-join the group and enter instance, but the second three people are inside the instance at the same time the NPC will insta-despawn even if the others have completed the quest.

EDIT: Wanted Notice does not seem to be required, rogue guildie just did it solo and he also skipped arena.

EDIT2: Deaths or even a wipe don't seem to matter if you do the running mob-skip strat on the bridge, still got it. As long as the deaths are prior to the bridge part.

EDIT3: It's currently bugged for Trolls, doesn't work... so if you picked that race make a bugreport or tweet at Aggrend

This can be done solo as a stealth class or probably even someone with an invis pot. Easier if you have shadowforge key.

Supplies you may need to bring with you - swiftness potion, noggenfogger elixir, invis potion.

make your way up past the room with the big gears to rotate the bridge. no need to activate. go left past the arena entrance and get to the window at the end of the hall and jump out. its a safe spot and mobs will reset.

turn right from there and face east. i used dash as a druid to make this jump but you may be able to make it without. if you are a class with no run speed ability bring extra swiftness pots in case and just wait for cooldown for the next part

jump off the ledge and youll fall onto the next ledge below. from that spot you can look out to your left and see the room with the rugged/ragged travelers. you may notice its a fairly significant gap to the other side but it is easily cleared with levitate and sprint/dash or swiftness potion. pop noggenfoggers until you get the slow fall effect, make sure you are lined up properly , sprint/dash/swiftness pot and jump across. as i said its easily cleared even with 50% move speed from swiftness pot.

This is soloable as a rogue. Just bring Noggenfogger Elixir, make sure you have 250 lockpicking/key & you're set.

4/20/2024 - So this can be done in a 5man group, nobody in group had the Wanted Notice on them nor in their bank.

The Key is to have two people online max while one player goes down and one stays up until that first player is done (stay at top of the bridge).
Have one player jump down and do the RP with NPC.
Then interact with NPC, get quest, turn in there. Hearth out or at least go offline.
2nd player then jumps down and can talk to NPC (no more initial RP), gets quest, turns in.
3rd player can login when 1st player is out of dungeon (or offline)
Keep doing this, only keeping two players max in BRD online AND in the dungeon.
You need to log back in before 5min otherwise you will teleported to the entrance, do be quick about this.
