Names for the armor pieces have been changed.
New names:
Acherus Knight’s Hood – Helmet
Acherus Knight’s Wristguard – Bracers
Acherus Knight’s Pauldrons – Shoulders
Acherus Knight’s Tunic – Chest
Acherus Knight’s Cover – Legs
Acherus Knight’s Gauntlets – Hands
Acherus Knight’s Greaves – Boots
Acherus Knight’s Girdle – Belt
The sword has been replaced.
Massacre Sword – Old sword
Runed Soulblade – New sword
Graphic stayed the same.

These other pieces are still correct:
Choker of Damnation - Necklace
Plague Band – Ring
Corrupted Band – Ring

All of these are upgrades that are easily accessible to Death Knights through quests very early on:

Does anybody know if there is a smilar hood (not stats, just how it looks like) in the game that any class can get?
It's too pretty to be just a starting item.

my favourite head piece for a dk. perfect with BE dk with a dark skin..makes it looked like sylvannas. i think its the only hood-plate in the game. and i was make a big mistake to delete it. saurfangdammit!

As of 4.3, all gear from the death knight starting zone (including this helm) can be bought from Quartermaster Ozorg in the Ebon Hold.

This item CAN be transmogrified. If you sold it or otherwise destroyed it you can pick it back up from the Ebon Hold for mere copper, as well as the other DK starting gear. Being a plate hood, it has very interesting uses aesthetically speaking, any dark-colored armor set goes well with it.

Death Knights only though, if any non-dk class tries to purchase said armor, they're presented with a completely blank menu, without the option to even look at it.

You can 'regain' the hood from the quartermaster, near the rune forges. It's at a pretty damn cheap price, too.

this hood just looks so cool, is there any comparison, like not looking at stats, but the way it looks, cause most hoods look dull, like a farmer's wife hood or something
