by far the best dps staff in game for druids at the moment (when 2.4 comes out of course).

reasons why i dont like sotfl and sopf are simply because they don't come with one of the best stats that any melee must have, hit. bliz, if your going to make high quality staffs, put hit on it please ><. OR expertise (which would be even better)

Believe it or not, this will be an upgrade for many survival speced raiding hunters over https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32248, until they obtain https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=34183.

Of course they need to make sure they are still hit capped after losing the 30 from Halberd.

350 Armor penetration on this is insanely good when stacked with other armor penetration items. And it should provide some more good numerical data for theorycrafting.

But yes, this should go to any druid in the raid first.

If you are never able to get into Sunwell Plateau, then any feral DPS druids should save 150 badges for this.

Unfortunately, enchants do NOT show up on this staff.

Just like, Zhar'doom for instance, weapons with even the smallest glow will override the graphics of enchants.

Slapping Executioner on this was probably the dumbest thing I did. Especially as a mage. Oh well, did it for the lulz.

As there are no feral tanking weapons dropping in Sunwell, I think Blizzard is trying to tell us that this weapon works for tanking as well.

It has no armor, correct, but if you are geared with T6 and similiar, you won't need it either, because you should be, or close at least to be, armor capped.

With 35 agi on this weapon, you gain the insane amount of 110 agi! Dodge anyone?

Also, this staff will generate more threat than any other feral weapon currently existing in the game.

I am not sure it will work better for tanking than the Pillar of Ferocity, but my guess is that it might be.

Warning - enchant glows don't show on this weapon. I figured this out the hard way after enchanting Executioner on it for my priest.

Of course and excellent staff, but i believe it is more of a dping staff than a tanking staff than the Pillar of Ferocity due to the fact that the Pillar of Ferocity has more armor and stamina... imba staff none-the-less, but the better tanking weapon for druid can be found in Hyjal.

As a certifiable transmogrification addict, I prefer understated, classy looks. Not only is this a beautiful staff in its own right, but when you transmogrify it, it covers up the native enchant on your current weapon. For casters who are forced to enchant power torrent but have become tired of its blaring lack of subtlety, this staff emanates a soft, soothing blue.

The change from STR to AP in Wrath makes this staff very good for Hunters in prepatch, especially Marksmanship.
