This is just an awsome staff, i got it for my Priest yesturday. The spirit is just great and the +healing isnt the most you can get on a staff, but the 50 spirit is just to good. Still wondering what enchant would go best with this, +30 int or +20 spi to make this one wicked regen staff.

now to decide which to keep and add +81 heals for my preist! lol!
hard to just lose all that spirit for mana regen.
but been readin and workin on calculating info for these types of decisions.

Yep, this has evocation written all over it. I bought it off AH for 42g.
For priests, there are better staves out there, I'd recommend

Serpentcrest Life-Staff: https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=27791 (-4 spirit for 4 int, +27 stam), I switch between the 2.
Now I just need to get a Bangle of Endless Blessing. With a spirit of 202, this staff (+20 spirit enchant), the bangle's use
and a divine spirit buff, my spirit will hit 202+50+20+120+50=442 spirit. Full mana bar from evocation for those long boss fights.

Got this off a Sunfury Bowman, one kill after I got the Schematic for Khorium Scope. It was a good couple of kills I guess. 2+ hours of running around the Mana Forge...

Using this staff as a mage for evocation is a little short-sighted, in my opinion. The AH price is very high, and the item is by no means the best available.

https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=25183 check the "of Spirit" variant. Possibly difficult to find, but no doubt cheaper.

Check other high-end green staves for "of Spirit" variants. And don't forget to check wands, too.

No one cares where you got it from, it's a world drop. It's not like it's going to drop for anyone else just because they farm that mob.

Give some good info instead like how much you sold it for etc.

bought this on ah one day, 44g buy out. sold the next day for 70g..

a couple of weeks before that I bought it for 70g, and sold it a day or two later for 120g.. ^^

now I'm waiting for the price to go down a bit more, at 60g atm, and when it goes a bit lower I will buy it. and probably keep it.

I'd go for the Serpentcrest Life-Staff from the Mekgineer in the Steam Vault. Has +27 stamina and +3 intellect and -4 spirit but adds about +35 more healing on it, and both of them are of the same level.

Can I get a comparison to other staves for Holy Priests? Anyone know how well this compares to BoP staves?

I'll take Spirit over Intellect, but I prefer BoP to BoE also. :D

PERFECT!

bought the staff for 55g from the AH..
got the +20 spirit enchant on it and with a macro whenever i use "Evocation" and it switches this staff instead of my current weapons.. i get around 1200 extra mana than if i am using my regular damage weapons.. it is just perfect

now i can get maximum out of my evocation :D

Y'all must be on some awesome servers. I can't sell this staff for anything. I've put it up on AH for 50, 40 and 35g. Those are all buyouts w/ starting bid 10g below. I finally gave up and had a friend DE it LOLZ.

This staff is absolutely a big bonus for Mages when evocating, dropped for my druid and instantly sent it to my mage for evo. God bless Weapon switching macros / Dressing addons.

Why i didnt use it for innervate? Well, most resto druids SHOULD be able to innervate ureself from 0% mana to top without having to re-equip, otherwise, consider to take a look at ure gear.

Pop my innervate at 15% mana - constantly healing in raids and still top out at 100% mana when its done.

Enchanted it with +30 Int
Talk about Stats!
I keep seeing other items, with better +healing, but who can give up all the int and spirit.
I love having an 11k mana pool...

I gotta agree with wowmtk, this thing has multiple listings in AH hovering around 30g at all times! Either there is absolutely no demand for it on Gilneas server or else the drop rate isn't as bad as thottbot would have me believe (or a lot of us are just very lucky).

I bought this staff with my Hunter back in March 2007 , when I saw this dude selling it for 30G in Orgrimmar (Server : Tichondrius). I thought : "MY GOD! deal of the century!"... Well, I tried to resell it from about 100G to about 50G and the damn staff wouldn't sell! So I just kept it in my inventory.

Forward to yesterday, when my Holy Priest reached Lvl68! AH! Now I know why I bought this baby back then! ;)

LOL anyone who sells a potential BOE Prismatic Shard item for less than 25g is &*!@#$ed. That said, this staff goes anywhere from 25-50g tops on my server all day every day.

This is one of the top 3 staffs if you are a druid or run with one. Equip it when you're hit by innervate and soak up the mana goodness!
