Use these when you're not going to be called upon to trap heavily, and switch in BL when you are :) I have a crit/ap leg armor on these, and the stam/agi one on my BL pants.

I just got this on my 67 hunter, i socketted mine with the following:

Bright Living Ruby- https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=24031
Wicked Noble Topaz- https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=31868
Solid Star of Elune- https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=24033

This is what I decided to do, may give others an idea of what to socket should they be wondering :) There are plenty of other combinations of gems that would work well

A quick note on just how good these are for a Hunter. Gemmed with green Agi (+6) in all three sockets--ignoring +Dodge socket bonus--and assuming equal armor kits and the goal of bumping up Hunter DPS, these legs outclass or equal both the Beast Lord and Rip Flayer (Karazhan, Netherspite) legs in Agility, AP, and Crit. Amazing results for an item that drops in a sub-L70 instance...

So remember: Yes, BL is great for trapping, and yes, there are Leather and other alternatives in Heroics, but this item punches above its weight.

I'm a enhancement shaman and I just won these cause I was the only mail wearer in the group, but I'm currently wearing are the green ones I have now better then these blue ones? or what should I socket the blue ones with to make them better then the greens(if they are) thanks.

By the way, IMO this are better than the beast lords ...and even more now when you know u'll be leaving those for some greens of Northrend.

Good pants, even by getting properly colored gems to attain the set bonus you can still extract 78 stam from these pants, easily.

I'm currently wearing these pants and used them to upgrade from Striker's. Put on a clefthoof hide leggings patch and threw some gems. Use them both for my 2v2 pvp matches and pve. The gem bonus dodge rating isn't amazing for a hunter, but helps when I use my AoTMonkey / Deterence macro against those damn warrior / rogues in 2v2.

...When you add 3 +12 attack power gems and a Cobrahide leg armor patch, these are some pretty good pants :)

Sadly, it has 21 Sta less than my current...still i think i keep them and throw some badass stats on it

Put three +12 stam socket gems in there and then put a 30 stam armor patch on here, you'll have 90 stam, making this pair of legs better than t4, t5, and even gladiator in most cases.

Lol, yeah, when i saw someone wearing these I though of how much stam I would get doing what you just mentioned. I agree that these could be the best leggings for PvP possible. You can get a ton of stam and still get decent attack power.

= 162atp SWEET LORD

now that is a crap load of atp...tryed to get these mamajamas a handfull of times...5 last night but no drops...its not too bad....the instance is easy and it gets me closer to getting the fear drums pat from keepers of time...tho i hope they drop soon =P

I saw these pants on Thottbot so I ran Old Hillsbrad and these dropped on my first try! Nobody else wanted them so I didn't even have to roll for them! :D

GOD! typed 3 pharagraph rant and lost it.. ill summarise.

Okays. imma hunter and hate the 101% shammy crap quest gear,as for who this is for.. shammy's> they rly dont need agi as they melee and and need more STR and a little agi. and im happy with this bc its not some crap mail with +HEALING. If u wanna go cry and say "this is shammy look at the MPS" if u havent noticed.. hunters have mana too.. and MPS can mean the diffrence of life and death in raids/instances/grinding/touching urself in ANY case..

If theres a shammy and hunter in group.. plz shammy pass the blunt to the hunter to ur left.

Got these last night on my first run. Instantly threw a clefthide armor kit on them and had a guildie send me some decent gems. They replaced my felscale leggings, and I couldn't be happier :)

As per WOW website "Players can place any color gem into a socket; however, matching all of an item's sockets with their corresponding colored gems can award additional bonuses."

So you can put whatever gem color you want in the sockets, you just won't get the socket bonus if you don't match the socket colors.

Hi these dropped for me last night, but I also have the Scales of the Beast

Now what should I do? I have the Cobrahide armor on the last one. Should I invest in a new Cobra armor kit for this one, with some AP and Agi gems? Or will it be a waste of gold, since the Scales of the Beast are actually just better then these Scaled Greaves of Patience?

I hope someone knows!

2% drop rate,,, thats @#$%^&ed. Atlas loot says there is a 20% drop. Im wasting my time running this instance. Its nver gonna drop. and if it does someone else will need roll it im sure. =(

Just got these in the morning on my first run and since the group did well, we did it a second time and they dropped. I feel sorry for those who tried to get these without any luck.

As a hunter.. I got these on say the 2nd or 3rd run through Durnholde.. there wasn't any other mail users present so i gladly took them as an upgrade of the Level 60 ones in Ramparts.. Now if there was a shammy in there with us.. we would have some problems =).. Either way this is Hunter/Shammy gear I would say more of Hunter on my part.. just an opinion though.

Hunters will NOT use +dodge as much as an enhance shammy stupid. Are you kidding me? if a hunter is being attacked with melee, we feign death. If its on cooldown, we either activate aspect of monkey or frost trap him. Having +dodge rating will be of very little use to hunters.
