Ahahahaha you silly undead rogues will never get this awesome mace!

Only a dwarf knows how to wield it!

Its one of the best maces in the game and as you can see its the exact one the Stormpike champion guards wield.

I just picked up this hammer today to replace my well-used Thrash Blade (with +15 agi) for my mainhand. I'm off-handing Mirah's Song (also with +15 agi).

Overall, I think the 24 gold cost of this hammer was well spent. The hammer's damage alone adds 7.4dps over a Thrash Blade. Factor in the +15 Strength from the Stormstrike's inherent ability, and the damage goes up 1.1 to 43.7dps overall just from attack power, also adding 0.6dps to the offhand.

Adding 15 agility enchant will round out Stormstrike to the following (for rogues only):

44.8 DPS
+30 Attack Power
+0.55% Critical
+0.6 DPS to offhand
+30 Armor Class
+1.04% Dodge

I'm probably missing something else out of the formula, but it's late and I'm tired... :-). So pardon anything else I left out.

The point is there's alot more to deciding what a weapon gives you than what's on the surface. For example, the +30 attack power (15 Str + 15 Agi = 30 Attack power) will add slightly more damage to my Eviscerate abilily, as well. So, think about enchantments, and remember to train your skill up to the maximum before you start PvPing or fighting semi-difficult mobs with a new weapon.

Does anyone find it odd this weapon is about half the cost in honor over the weapons from wsg, and yet still a slightly higher level?

Get Revered with your faction for Alterac, Stormstrike. And then this will be available at the NPC near the entrance. You can buy it off him. Yes I realize that I only mentioned the Alliance, since it's Alliance only. The Horde gets an axe with the same stats.

How do you exactly get exalted status in Alterac Valley ? Can you get Reputation point by killing NPCs (main leaders / all npcs ?) or does it have to be human players?

got 1999/3000 (neutral) rep point so far, and my raid group raked more than 300-400 HK in 2 matches.

Problem is AV does not run that often - and hordes always leave early.

It's utterly ridiculous that this item, which is one of the top rogue items in the game is alliance only.

The horde equivalent can't be used by rogues.

It's like they give a Krol Blade for free to the alliance.

Utterly stupid.

i love this 1, enchanted crusader for it.. heh maybe a stupid thing but still it owns even with pallys :> now im waiting to get exalted (17k left) to buy that shield.. ( The Immovable Object )

I'll get this hammer soon. I was so focused in Dal'rends sacred charge before but the drop rate is like none. And besides. If it drops there is allways 2 other rogues and maybe 2 hunters who'll need it. So i changed my mind and now im soon revered with Stormpike. As combat rogue i really want to replace my dagger that i have in main hand :O

I just started up AV and in two runs through, I'm about 80% to friendly....so way off in the future, I am going for this. Nice weapon. Right now, I have Iceblade Hacker which is about the same DPS, +1-4 frost dmg, but no stats. however, Iceblade is .7 faster, better to tank PvE (but I tank with Silent Fang, 40 DPS, lighning fast with silence proc) Either way, I am going for the Unstoppable in the end just because its badass and this will be a nice pick up on the way, but I don't know how much I will use it.....

Well, I'm currently 30/8/13 dagger spec. I'm DWing Lobo and ele dagger, but after playing the test server(omg, probably the only time I'll ever have CTS, BF, and ancient ripper), I'm kinda convinced I should be sword(This is a hammer, but its kinda teh same) again. But the backstab and ambush crits are soooo wonderful. /sob
