This achievement and similar will result in the revisitation of Azerothian raids! Good for those who wish to see what it was like to raid in Azeroth - not so good for those who have painful memories of 20/40 mans that they raided to death. Still, fun.

C'Thun is the last boss of AQ40: Temple of Ahn'Qiraj.

I have Striker's Hauberk on my hunter bank, reward from Stiker's Hauberk, and i dont get this one on PTR.

i completed the chest quest once, but sold the item.

will i get this achievement done?

Look at the criteria, it states that you need to of completed the quest for Tier 2.5 chest, so if you had it back in the day but vendored or destroyed the item you should still qualify for the achievement.

There is currently a bug on the beta/test realm preventing players with the T2.5 chest from completing this achievment.

Looks like this bug made it to Live servers.

Tier 2.5 chest in the bank and no achievement completion.

Yep, same deal here. I have Deathdealer's Vest equipped on my 60 Rogue (was my main pre TBC) and was not awarded with this achievement.

According to Tigole on the Beta Achievement forum this will be fixed in one of the small patches released after 3.0.

We recently added the breastplates. They will not give credit in the patch that goes live with the achievement system but in a patch that will follow that one by a week or two.

Edit: Appears to have been fixed as of 3.0.3. The C'Thun chest pieces now count towards the achievement.

For players willing to complete this achievement, I suggest you to look for some info about the last 2 bosses (C'thun and the Twin Emperors) in wowwiki. This is a level 60 raid, but you can easily wipe even at level 70 if not everyone knows the fight and if you don't make a set-up in your raid for each fight.
This post is extremely outdated. As long as you can pull over 60k dps, you should be fine on twin emperors. C'thun also shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah we wiped with like thirty five 70+ the other day... If you decide to pug, it is usually easy to find people willing to come, but organizing the raid especially at the emperors can be a pain in the butt.

Also I would like to add that it's confirmed that you can still get this achievement even if you have died and the raid still kills him.

wow we just did this last night it's funny how noncreative blizzard is lol cthun=yogg with a mix of mimiron phase 2 never the less fun fight to bad we haft to down twin emps to get to him i might go back if it wasent for them... but now at 80 people still haft to know what you are doing or the eyebeam jump will crush you(killed us first try) then the red eye beam will wipe the group(healers got hit everytime) but thankfully at 80 it can be done without heals well phase 2 at least if all the dps know what thay are doing but we survived it with 3 people alive and everyone was 1 hit from death heal less if our healers knew what thay where doing it would have been a different story
