This title is earned by participating in the Arena Tournament Realm and achieving a team rating within the top 1000 at the end of the first qualifier. You also have to have a certain number of games played to be eligible to receive the title (for the 2010 Arena Tournament it was 100 games played). It is given to all of your characters over level 71 (at least for the last two Arena Tournaments, i'd guess during BC it would be all characters over level 61) sometime after the qualifier ends

The title was available from the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Arena Tournament Realms.

So if i register myself on arena pass and get in the 1000 best ppl do all my chars over 71 get the title and pet? Oo

This Title will once again be obtainable in the Arena Tournament 2012, 10th april.

The available prizes are listed below:

Players who participate in at least 50 rated Arena Pass games on one character and with the same team by the end of the online qualifier will be eligible to receive the Armored Murloc pet for their live characters.

Players who are a member of one of the top 1000 teams at the end of the online qualifier and have participated in at least 100 rated Arena Pass games on a character on a qualifying team will receive the “Vanquisher” title for their live characters level 71 and over.

Please Note: The characters that players use to qualify for the above prizes must play all of their qualifying games on the same team and must remain on that team for the duration of the Arena Pass. If a player leaves their team at any time, it may void their eligibility by resetting the number of games needed to be played. The live characters players wish to receive the in-game prizes must be on the same account as the one registered for the Arena Pass service.

This title was removed from my character on the launch of the 8.1 BFA patch. GM stated "Working as intended" and didn't give me much information except you need the 2013 achievement now to get it, despite me getting the title before 2013. Anyone else having this issue?

It was possible to get this title in 2009-2012 without getting the achievement Gloria del Torneo 2013.
It seems patch 8.1 updated how the title works (some account wide check?) and linked it to the achievement Gloria del Torneo 2013. So now when you login a character with the title the server loads your titles and checks the 2013 achievement. If you don't have the achievement, it assumes you are not eligible and removes the title .___.

I know this, because some characters still show the title in the armory, but after logging in the title can't be selected.

We are currently investigating reports of the Vanquisher title going missing for some players. If your Vanquisher title has gone missing and you would like to assist with the investigation, please submit a bug report using the in-game help menu.

But they don't have a fix yet.

So if possible for you DO NOT LOGIN at least one character that still has the title after patch 8.1 (check your characters in the armory). This way you will keep a "proof" in the database, that you had the title.

Furthermore, everyone affected report it to blizzard please! So we can get some visibility and a fix on this. It's a cool and rare title, it would suck to lose it.

Update: Titles are BACK! It's fixed

As of 8.1, many players have experienced their Vanquisher title stripped without cause. CS has told us that it is a known issue and they are working on a fix to restore not only this title, but more that disappeared since the patch day. If you have noticed your title missing, make a bug report.
