For all of us who are underwhelmed by the fact that we will not be getting a legendary weapon for all of our ridiculously strenuous efforts through the expansion, this is basically our last hope for a little something more. Don't get me wrong, the capes are amazing, especially with those procs, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to have a more visible and noticeable reward for all the awful RNG and extreme dedication we had to endure to get this far in the questline. While it may be a longshot, I hope that this final quest will reward you with some cool unique transmog weapon (without stats of course) or some other nice vanity reward so you can show off your achievement in the future when the cloaks become obsolete. Well, no matter what this quest ends up rewarding, as long as it gives SOMETHING cool, I think I can be content with it. :)

I was taken back when I heard they were increasing the quality of the cloaks.
608 ilvl ATM going down to 600(because of not being able to upgrade immediatly)
and gaining a proc. Blizzard has said you can get the extra socket in weapons in SoO and meta gems will still be used etc.

My hope was for Sha touched weapons(see sha of pride) and the quest would change them to legendary quality with an added bonus, I had a long post about it a while ago, see http://ptr.wowhead.com/quest=32870#comments:id=1864228

Back on topic, this IS the last ditch effort for something good to come out of the line, yes..metas for MOST people are amazing.
the extra socket is nice.
the....500 stat gem we can no longer use..
and the cloak!

Lackluster ending to a very long and tedious quest chain<props to those of us who completed before nerfs>
