If this goes up against an ability where you cannot hit, e.g. Immersione, that one wins, this one loses, and sure enough you miss.

You most likely are here for the same reason I am - Laser does NOT ALWAYS HIT. And of course, that is not what it claims, it only claims that the users accuracy is 100% to NEVER MISS, if the enemy can dodge, block, or avoid attacks, then Laser fails.

So, Blizz, when are you going to give us a pet ability that ALWAYS HITS? - and when you do, could you make it a non-magic and definitely a non-mechanical (wreaking of Engineering) capability? /sigh

This thing always hits?

I like to ***try*** to use the lazer with the supercharge combo as it's part of my battle strategy. It got dodged once, then it got dodged again, then I started counting... During the course of the day, out of nine attempts to land a supercharged lazer hit, SEVEN were dodged. I am seriously not exaggerating here.

Always hits? Absolutely! Pets only have a 5% dodge chance? Absolutely!

This has singlehandedly cost me 4 of those games and the rest were lost in part because of this.

Sure the tooltip only promises that it won't miss - and technically a dodge is not a miss - but that really doesn't make me feel any better.

I'm not even going to get started on the absurd number of misses and dodges that happen in this game as it's unrelated to the lazer. Feels like half of the games I play, the winner (whether me or my opponent) is literally decided by a ton of lucky miss/dodge/crit hits. Strategy or skill need not apply at all..I'm sure the actual percentage isn't far off from that.

As of Patch 5.3 this move has an accuracy rating of 200%. At first glance this looks really silly -- but it actually serves a purpose. The highly inflated hit value prevents accuracy reduction moves (like Stench) from reducing your accuracy anywhere remotely close to sub 100%.

Laser deals a total damage of: 18 + 0.9 ATK
Similar basic abilities deal a total damage of: 20 + ATK

Compared to other "basic" 100% hit attacks (such as Morso or Cazzotto) this ability trades 10% of its damage to boost its accuracy to 200%. Basic skills aren't usually powerful as nukes, and Laser deals even less damage (only slightly above stat-inducing abilities).

However, it fits a niche against pets that use accuracy decreasing abilities, most noticeably those with Blind effects (such as Lampo or Veleno Accecante) that would otherwise nullify attacks completely.
