Currently the only pets with Nocturnal Strike that can also cause the blinded status on their own are the Crow and the Gilnean Raven (both via Call Darkness).

Is this spell broken? Even while target is blinded this spell misses more times than not despite the "Always hits if the target is blinded." on the tool tip.

If the target is blinded due to Darkness, remember that darkness is a weather effect, and all elementals are immune to weather effects.

Between the slim chance of hitting the target and the long cooldown to try again; this ability was a great motivator to level my Snowy Owl to 20 so I could swap this wasted turn for Predatory Strike. I occassionally used it as an opener on the chance it might hit but otherwise avoided it. I'll never use it again with that pet now that he can do better.

Before running off to Winterspring to bag yourself a Snowy Owl to use against the fabled Dos-Ryga, be sure to note it's seasonal. It only appears in Winter between November 1st and February 28th.

Very odd interaction: as of this posting, the ability will retain it's 100% hit chance to hit the opponent even if you are affected with Blinding Poison which should reduce your hit by 100%

All moves with 50% chance to miss with various effects similar to this:

Humanoid: Falciatore - Very high (base 50) damage but causes the user to be stunned if it misses, 3 round cooldown

Dragonkin: Cataclisma & Instabilità - High (base 45) damage with a 1 round cooldown

Mechanical: Demolizione - Decent (base 40) damage, no cooldown

Magic: Pacco Dono di Orotron - Above average (base 30) damage, heals user for the same amount instead if it misses, 3 round cooldown, unique to Brillo

I’ve noticed if the pet walks up and turns to hit their opponent it’s a miss and if it walks straight at their opponent and hits it’s a hit. This has been 100% accurate for me so far.

The "Always hits if the target is Blinded." part is actually not accurate. It's more accurate to say "It never misses when the target is Blinded" . Abilities like Deflection will still work as normal and will allow you to dodge this attack.
