His name probably comes from the Mesoamerican god Quetzalcoatl whos name literally translates to "feathered serpent"

Dropped Crusader's Gauntlets of the Bear for me today. Surprised to come across him, I never saw this serpent before.

Quetzl spawned right where he was supposed to on the side of the mountain =) he appeared at 2:15 pm server, BlackDragonflight - horde.1/13/2013.He's beautiful! really easy to tame. happy hunting!

He showed at 1:48 PM server time in Feathermoon exactly where it says here. He's more beautiful than I first imagined!

He's just beautiful! A unique skin - and it's always nice to have a wind serpent in your inventory because of the amazing benefits they provide in both PvE and PvP. Now that you can change Cunning and Ferocity talents with a simple click of a button, he's even MORE useful than he was before. He has the same abilities as all other Wind Serpents, but he's awful pretty!

To add him to your NPC Scan, follow these steps:

1. Type /npcscan in your chat bar.

2. Enter in the NPC ID at the bottom. Quetzl's NPC ID is 50788.

3. The world you want to enter is Kalimdor.

4. Of course, the name is Quetzl.

5. After entering all your information, click on the little red 'plus sign' button next to the world box where you typed in "Kalimdor."

You can add this to your NPC scan, and it will pop on him. A great rare! Thanks Blizzard for giving hunters more serpents to choose from! \o/ I'm also uploading a screen shot of him. I hope this helps anyone who is taming this guy for the first time. Good luck!

Found him around 2:50am server time on wyrmrest accord, around 66, 84, which is on a high cliff overlooking Frostwhisper Gorge. I also noticed Manas flying around 64, 80 (Owlwing Thicket) a few minutes before I found Quetzl. Happy hunting :3

Waited 20 mins today before he spawned, but I waited an hour last night with no results. He looks SO B.A.! Happy hunting!

This pet IS a unique skin. While it shows as using the same skin as Swiftwing Shredder, Skyshadow, and Ionis, the colouration is actually different. The differences are noticeable, and can be seen using the "View in 3D" feature.
