This is the minion created by the Death Knight spell Raise Dead. You can only have one ghoul active at a time, and it lasts 2 minutes (increased to 3.5 minutes with 3/3 Ravenous Dead talent) or until killed.

strange though, the ghoul that my death knight summoned was named "Blightflayer" vs the standard "Risen Ghoul" that I see other people's ghouls as.

If you /cower at the ghoul, it will try to scare you.

I personally think at 80, or possibly 85, DKs should get ghoul upgrades depending on their spec.

Frost DKs get a Skeletal Frost Mage that, ontop of Standard Ghoul attacks, can cast frost bolt and maybe Frost Shield/Armor on itself/it's master.

Unholy DKs get a Geist that comes with mild rogue type abilities in the forms of poison and maybe a weak stealth.

Blood DKs get a Ravager that comes with the ability to do Bleeds and maybe a nerfed Sunder Armor type skill.

I think it would help seperate the classes greatly, make having your minion out a regular thing and would add a whole new aspect to the gameplay. Of course, we'd have to control the PvP aspect of it and make sure that the pets aren't too OP'd in PvE.

Your ghoul name, in English, will be one from the left column, followed by one from the right column, probably completely random (I've definitely seen some... suggestive ... combos in game, so I doubt any combos are restricted). It's possible I missed some, since 33 is not a nice round number like 32. But probably not, like a 0.08% chance I missed some.
