According to the official World of Warcraft Atlas, this mob is rated as Very Rare with a respawn timer of ~32-48 hours.

Found her walking around at 43.77 in Felwood, never seen her before, so as said above, she must be rare =)

Interestingly, she has the skin of a non-corrupted bear. Nothing super special about her otherwise.

Just stumbled onto this mob while doing a quest. Thankfully she wasn't stuck in a tree and I resisted the urge to kill her. Glad I reconsidered, after reading the comments here it sounds like I've gotten myself a pretty cool pet!

I just killed this rare on live and didn't get the additional experience that should accompany killing a rare. I put in a ticket but was uncertain if anyone else had that problem?

Actually, I don't think he is that rare. I've killed him twice today in less than 12 hours while looking for the wolf.

I tamed Mongress tonight on the strength of his being so rare, but I must say the poor fellow is pretty plain-looking! I wish Blizz would have made him more distinguished....

may look plain, but since shes pretty much the only uncorrupted wildlife in all of Felwood, she must be one hell of a bear! Maybe shes related to the bear demi-gods Ursoc and Ursol?

In Legion Mongress still have her old low-poly grizzly bear model.
List of all tameable bears with old model (for collectors or just in case if you like old one more than new):

Ursol'lok, black bear;
Ben il Selvaggio, brown bear;
Mongress, grizzly bear (light-brown);
Marciotetro, grey bear; spawns only during daytime, at night he spawns as diseased black bear;

Marciotetro, diseased black bear; spawns only during nighttime, at day he spawns as grey bear;

I have a add on that shows coordinates but the coordinates don’t match up with the ones on the map, do I go to the coordinates it says or go to where the map says they are?
