Start off in Radaluna & accept the quest from Astralaire /way 45.6, 62.1
Step 1 Dancing Moonkin Hatchlings Observed /way 45.6, 62.1
Step 2 Moonfiring Moonkin Hatchlings Observed /way 45.2, 63.5
Step 3 Napping Moonkin Hatchlings Observed /way 42.5, 66.7
Once you are done turn it back in at the questgiver Astralaire.

You will have a Cucciolo di Lunagufo following you around and you will get a few more soon. They only show up during the event and last for a brief period of time.

Now we need to go east to the Stormrage Barrow Dens
On your way over be sure to click on a Pietra del Lunagufo they are scattered throughout the area.

Collect 5x Baccaluna and give to the Cucciolo di Lunagufo.

Now we must get three pieces from killing Maestro dell'Ombra Giadafulgida to form a cure for Clookle
Fiala Brillante + Acqua del Bagliore Lunare + Corruzione di Constellas = Antidoto al Bacio della Luna

We need to go deep into the Dens now and give Clookle the Antidoto al Bacio della Luna
Dens entrance /way 71.0, 56.4

Clookle will tell us to kill Xavinox so we need to make our way back out of the dens /way 70.9, 56.6
Once we kill Xavinox we get Berretto di Boomie which allows us to summon more Cucciolo di Lunagufo to go on an adventure with us.. The buff lasts much longer than the original.

Cannot attack while stealthed.
will get you killed. Interrupt/Stun/Silence to save a life.
Let hit, but interrupt if you are trying it without a healer or in a group of less than three.

Xavinox is only around during the Moonkin Festival on 12 November and can be found in Moonglade at /way 68, 60
He is only attackable when you are on the final part of the festival "quest chain" (see festival ink) and drops Berretto di Boomie which, when used, gives you the final Moonkin Hatchlings buff (meaning you have 5 Moonkin Hatchling followers for 5 days).
He is a tough fight and should be done in a group of 3 or more ideally.

The initial Moonkin Hatching buff will be for 24hrs.
Giving Clookle the Moonkissed Antidote will increase the buff to 4 days.
The Beanie Boomie will increase the buff to 5 days.

It seems that the name Xavinox is influenced by the Slavic root for "owl"; for example the Russian word for owl is ("сова").
Moreover, the Russian word for owlet is ("совёнок").

Only thing I can add to the excellent comments by ModishVision is that, as of 2018, this dude is tough!
A dozen well speced toons had a hard time...with my dying three times.
Most definitely need a healer.

His Mirror Image ability is just stupid good. Had no problems soloing him until he did just that and i died within a few seconds.

Also, he turns friendly if i go too close to him or my Moonkins dissapear for whatever reason they have(which they do ALOT)

After getting the final, 5 day version of the Moonkin Hatchlings buff, Xavinox will now be green and you are unable to attack him. Plan accordingly if you want to run the event with friends and guildies as Xavinox can be quite tough and may not be soloable for many

If you're Rogue and stealthed, the moonkin following you disappear so as not to give you away, however, it also makes Xavinox unattackable. Have to unstealth to get moonkin back then attack.

I suddenly found myself in the Emerald Dreamway during this fight... had been so focused on the fight that I stepped through the portal without even noticing it was there *facepaws*

So, uh... just a word of warning to other absent-minded druids outthere!

(P.S. If you give up on the fight and want to come back later, Xavius is SO ready to get you the moment you step out of the Emerald Dreamway...)

While all other parts of this quest line are no problem for a level 15,
killing Xavinox is impossible, even if he is just a level 14 Elite and you have your four moonkin helpers.
Annoying. It seems that the developers lack basic math skills to do the scaliing right.
