Furries of the WOW world shall unite under one banner finally!
FOR THE NEUTRALS ( if not alliance, they are gonna be neutrals like pandaren
They said it isn't planned for them to be an allied race...they never said it wouldn't be a "normal" race though ^^
I am going to be so very sad if I can't play these. I especially hope they're available to Horde. I'm jealous, too; a bunch of my characters are tauren females, and frankly these fuzzballs have five times the customizability.
There are so many animal-based races in World of Warcraft, it's kinda ridicilous to be mad about that because they're "cute"... but I don't think I would play as a Vulpera, but i'm fine with people who would look forward to that, my wish for the Allied Races are the Arakkoa.
They are so cute:)Would be nice if Blizzard rework worgens models in some sort like this furry-foxes, and make them upright already;)P.S. I'd like to have em in game as allied race (no matter Alliance or Horde side), because I wish create a small sneaky rogue, but cant force myself playing as gnome or goblil:(
Please please pleeeaaase. NO. So many cool races and they're looking to give us fox people with no previous place in Lore. Just why?
Foxy very nice ! Good job, For the alliance!
If these get announced as an Alliances allied race I'm transferring to the horde!
Alliance won't get Sethrak, because Sethrak are bad.. just bad guys. And mainly because of their head none will get themIf than it would fit to Horde. Sethrak act like Hozen. By your therory Horde should get everything. If you're Horde you helped even Sethrak. (reason to make Vulpera leave Horde) I'd love to see Vulpera playabe, but only as neural or Alliance. (We got neutral Pandaren so we know it works)Alliance deserves finaly something coolWe already saw how "nice" Horde can be (Garrosh to Ji & your pandaren). No problem for Horde to try enslave them so they will run away to the Alliance. Vulpera would be great even as druids (would finaly almost balance zandalari troll). If Alliance will get Vulpera than I'm totaly for to give Horde paladin zandalari troll (If cows can be priest and paladin than everyone does). I reall believe that Vulpera will be playable but I really hope that they will be both or Alliance (we deserve something cool too) Sethrak is same as Naga, Arakkoa and so on. Their body (or head) is not good for gear. Some helmets looks ridiculously on Worgen and Tauren so.. We will se about it. But because someone is enemy of yours doesn't mean he has to join your other enemies. So if Vulepra are more for the Horde than it doesn't force Sethrak to join Alliance.
As nice as these would be for playable races, they have too much customisation to be an allied race. Anyone who has played the current AR will know how little customisation we get on our models. Our three skin coloured Draenei, our 2 old faces Nightborne, our 2 hairstyled HM Tauren, etc.
I'd be extremely surprised if this was an alliance race based on the facts they use the goblin skeleton/animations and the fact that the vulpera city/reputation is part of the horde expansion areas. also they seem to have a backstory related to greed/trade/money, allied races are introduced by someone familiar with the race seems like goblins would have a history with vulpera considering they are both money/trade motivated.
These better be alliance, they better be able to be druids AND get unique druid forms or riot.
I hope they will be a neutral allied race!
I would like to play them, but I am starting to get worried...If they become playable for the Horde, it means we have already 5 new races to play this xpac (counting the tauren and nightborne). Alliance will get the same amount, so it is +5. So far, with BfA we will have 10 new races to play with.It took five long years to have the 12 classes maxed out. I feel overwhelmed with all of this and I don't really know what to think. Maybe I want them but not at this pace? Oh boy...
I have absolutely no desire to see these guys as an Alliance allied race. I think they're silly and I'd much rather see some awesome come to the Alliance, like Vykrul or Kul'Tiran wicker druids. That being said, there are plenty of people that wants these guys and I kind of hope that they get them. I won't make one, but part of me looks forward to seeing these guys in my dungeon groups, my keystone groups, my raid groups, and I really wouldn't mind killing them in battlegrounds. The thing that's got me so excited about allied races, and the fact that they've already released so many of them, is that it doesn't look like Blizzard is going to be stingy with them. With the fact that for the most part they are reusing old assets and that they aren't having to spend resources building new zones for them means they can make a whole bunch of allied races for the price of one completely new race.Every new expansion they have to make new races, that's a given, people want them and it keeps it from getting stale. Vulpera is one of those new races. If they had to make them but they also spend just the little bit of extra resources to then make them playable it's just bonus for us and increased subscription numbers for them, with very little effort on their part. If this had been their design philosophy from the beginning, and not just the last part of Legion and Battle for Azeroth, we would have got Broken, Arakkoa, Vykrul, Tuskarr, Eredar, and Ethereal long ago. There is a really good chance that we are going to be getting "new" allied races at the beginning of Battle for Azeroth that based off the new NPCs they are making for the new expansion. I would bet all the donuts in the world that once the expansion kicks off we are going to see a lot more of the older races people have been wishing for start to pop up. I am willing to bet that ever time sub numbers take a serious hit in between new content updates they are going to drop a couple new allied races. This could be serious long term thing that will keep their numbers up, sell tons of character boosts, and just generally keep their fans more engaged than we've been since Wrath of the Lich King.:On a side not I would like to see them apply the new design philosophy to new classes. New classes in general take a lot of resources to build. You have to make new spells, new animations, new spell effects, and in the long term there is resources spend balancing them. You also have to admit that any new classes are probably going to feel like rehashes of of classes. With the Demon Hunters they were already scraping the bottom of the barrel and it would be hard to top them.Instead just apply the allied race philosophy to them. Take a Warlock. Change the name of it's spells, change it's spell animations, change the name of it's talents, and then call it a Necromancer. The Warlock casts a Chaos Bolt, the Necromancer casts a Bone Spike. The name is different, the animation is different, but the cast time, mana cost, and damage are the same. Any changes that need to be made to Warlocks are also applied to Necromancers. Give them a handful of different things. Like maybe instead of lock rocks they make a consumable that gives you an absorb effect. Sure, they'll be nearly identical to Warlocks, about as identical as Lightforged Draenei and Draenei, and yet people are excited about Lightforged Draenei. For the price of one whole new class you can make several copy pasted classes, and with out the long term cost of making devs have to balance even more classes for both PvE and PvP (it's pretty clear that they're having a hard time with that with the classes we've got). Who would want a Dark Ranger, even if it was just a copy pasted version of a Hunter? Or a Witch Doctor, completely based off a Shaman? Or a Valkyr, complete ripped off from a priest or a paladin? It would be awesome.
If Blizzard doesn't make these an Allied Race or just a normal New Race they've literally wasted a ton of time. Why give them more customization than any other Allied Race so far and NOT do something with them besides relegate them to NPC's? Just seems like a very silly move on their part.
I don't think this will be an allied race. All the other AR are just variations of existing races. What would the other faction get to even it out? Tortollans? Cool fox vs weird tortoise, not on the same playing field... However, how about a new playable race in 9.0? Sounds much more reasonable to me.
