that what I see is too unreal what it does every time with the world of Azeroth (not even to answer that it is part of the technology of this world), first it was the elimination of the loads of Arrows or uses of some items that served for his skills of a classes like the poisons of the rogues, Totems of the shamans, Seeds for the Druids or Anhks for the paladins (I think of them was yes) was all one to fill your bag, but showed more reality in a game .Now Tailors with first aid? One thing is to weave and sew, another thing to treat a wound in the body, I do not know, but I would not want to remove this nostalgia that was from Vainilla times.
Even in a high fantasy world we need something to moor us to reality. First Aid helped to fill that role. If you leveled up your first aid, it said something about your character (and in the first iterrations of the game, your ability and willingness to heal others, as well). Our customization options shouldn't be entirely appearance-based.#SaveFirstAid
Last time I used a bandage was in Mists of Pandaria I think. They could've removed it earlier, I'd never notice.
My main is a war so my healing options are slightly limited. It saved me a bunch of times.
They should make it more useful for specs with little self healing and as a way to treat poisons and bleeds.
First Aid is such a limited profession nowadays that merging it with Tailoring seems like a reasonable step. The change I would actually like to see in profession is the introduction of gathering tradeskills as separate from primary tradeskills. You can have two primary professions and one gathering (skinning, mining, herbalism). No more people with a dual-gathering druid but people having to choose one of them. Plus the inevitable role playing factor of gathering materials relative to your primary tradeskill
The main concern would be the tradition that items crafted within a profession can only be used with those who also have the profession. If they are going to move bandages over to tailoring, fair enough, but the created bandages should be usable by all players, even those without tailoring. throwing in a bandage buff for tailors wouldn't be the worst idea either, given all we've suffered in the last few expansions.also, making the created bandages an item that can be disenchanted for mats would be a nice cherry, given the close connection between tailoring and enchanting for cloth wearing toons.as for relevance, bandages will always have a use for combat self heals for any class without self heals, pots can only do so much and once they are on cooldown a quick CC/bandage can make the difference between a mob kill or a run back from the graveyard.given how little bandages do actually heal for, the debuff preventing further use for a period of time is way too long. i ran ICC the other week on my hunter, without bandages i simply would not have been able to do the dreamweaver fight. what made it more frustrating than it needed to be was having to wait for the debuff on dreamweaver to drop so that i could give him another bandage. i spent ages bandaging him whilst any class with even a basic heal gets it done in a couple of minutes, if that.it would be a shame to see the profession go, but if they are going to keep bandages as it seems they need to find a way to give them some balance and relevance in the game again, else why are they bothering to keep it in at all?
As a mage, I use first aid for healing the NPCs in old content... Don't get rid of it! I guess if bandages go to Tailoring, I'll still be able to make them...
As far as i am concerned, they can chuck the entire first aid profession (achievements and all) in the trash! I agree with others that it was useful for newbie players/alts to heal up at lower levels but it has become a grind to level it up. I am happy with these changes!
OK, if Blizz doesn't fix first aid then it really won't matter if they take it away except to players under 60 (and maybe not even them). Yes, first aid was useful during the first 3 expansions but after that the heal they gave just wasn't enough to keep up with the bloated health pool. As people have pointed out 300k when you have 6M is kind of pointless. Maybe if it was a 300k instant it MIGHT serve a purpose but not really since the CD is so long.I personally think they screwed up when they removed arrows and poisons. It was kind of an indicator of what kind of player you were joining. If they joined a raid/group and the first thing they say is oooppsss forgot mats for arrows and poison you knew they were a flake.Perhaps a change could be that there is a rez ability with first aid, boost health recovery for bandages by doing a percentage of health instead of a flat amount, create a bandage that does more hps if used on another player/pet/npc.If they take it away completely I will be irritated due to all the time wasted in Legion leveling it. It was already useless in Legion but I leveled it in hopes that it would be useful again in next expansion. Blizz has taken the specialization out of every profession. Who here had 3 alchemists or at the very least 2 so they could do transmute and flasks and get the benefit of that specialization. I converted all my duplicate professions to gathering since there has been no need to have duplicate in the last 2 expansions.Anyway, either fix it to be useful or remove it. Letting it limp along is just bad. Oh and they could even do the last 10 points for the expansion could be gained by having to heal others. It would be like it is a green skill level and you would have to heal lots of people. At least it would have some purpose community wise.
If removing first aid, then how about letting there be a third profession major profession? And every class should have its own self healing method, improved and faster, in its place. I still use first aid as a mainly solo player.
