As a big fan of the Live Raid from Blizzcon, I love this idea. I love PVP esports as well, but, as I'm a complete trash panda at PVP, I often find myself a little confused about what's going on.
Now all we need is a Pet Battle tournament.
This is really cool idea! I love to watch this kind of stuff! I would love to sign up but I don't have 4 other active friends to do M+ with hahaha
Awesome this is unique.
That's a great idea, especially as there seems to be a lot more PVE players.
So more money and endorsements for the top raiding guilds as they will easily have the best gear from mythic TOS and probably already have some of the best times on these instances.... At least the entry period doesn't start for a couple of weeks, maybe 3-4 more guilds will have had a shot at clearing TOS and gearing up...otherwise, its just a light version of the world first race all over again.... this is something that would be better executed during the lull period between xpacs as by that point the field is pretty even on gear score and most people are searching for something new and different to keep them engaged...
Woot!
Actually this looks like more than just "top raiding guilds" have a shot. After all, it only requires 5 people, not 20, so the smaller friends/family guilds have a shot too, which is nice. From what I've seen, there's plenty of people who prefer dungeons to raids and push really high keys but never set foot in raids. Honestly I'd be surprised if the top level guilds run more than one mythic + per week, they're probably too busy raiding. (Most of my guildies just run enough mythic+ to clear one +15 for the weekly class hall chest). Besides, anything over +15 is just for the pure sake of challenge, it doesn't drop any extra gear. I wonder how high a key you'd need to clear to make it in...... quick check of leaderboards for my realm shows at least one team cleared +20 so far this week......
Easy win.- Keep everyone from grouping- Run the mythic +1- Take home $100k
Anyone else notice the disparity of legal mumbo jumbo in acknowledging Blizzard's right to force players into binding arbitration and the paltry information given regarding the actual evaluation in the official form. Secondly, I think it would have benefited the Community, if future events like this didn't correlate with new content. This would have the latent affect of allowing the player base to farm say TOS for example and not just the mythic guildes, but also provide fodder for the culture during downtime. Poor planning.
