I've been looking everywhere for any info as to what counters Cursed - whether it be a champion, troop, or piece of equipment - and somehow I can't find a thing. I see people in Legion-era guides and forums talking about countering Cursed, which implies it's possible, but none of them say anything about HOW to counter it.

It took me way too long to clue in, partially due to the lack of clear distinction between different mechanics in guides and the UI. But for anyone who was also confused, Cursed is not a basic threat like Hazard, Spell, or Minion like I thought; it's the consequence to not countering the threat. If an enemy has the Cursed mechanic and you don't counter that enemy's threat (eg. Minion), then Cursed remains and you get no bonus loot. If you DO counter that enemy's threat, then Cursed is countered with it, and you're able to get bonus loot.

There are 5 possible threat consequences:
Powerful - Reduces success chance. Bosses always have this one, but non-bosses can have it in higher ilvl missions.
Slowing - Increases mission duration. Can stack.
Disorienting - Increases mission cost. Can stack.
Cursed - No bonus loot. Not on early missions.
Lethal - Kills all troops on the mission. Not on early missions.
