Not to be confused with the latest model Orotron 4000.
This one I think went a little haywire because someone complained that all they got was junk from him and that his other "bro" was much cooler.

Edit: I guess some dont believe that there are others that did get confused about fighting Blingtron thinking it was the gift giving one that engineers make

The key to winning this fight is as follows. Orotron 3000 spawns at one corner of the arena at the start of the encounter. When he spawns, you can dps him a little, but there is little point doing so until he gets his damage debuff, as outlined below. Certainly, don't delay the next steps in favor of throwing some extra damage on him at the beginning - it isn't worth it!

Orotron 3000 will cast a missile every so often, and this missile targets your current location. A large red targeting circle will spawn, marking where it will land...there is quite a bit of time for you to move out of it before the missile lands, so getting hit is not hard to avoid.

The tricky part is chaining electricity from the Bobina Elettromagnetica Gnomesca at the opposite end of the room to Blingtron; at 21 million health, you need him to receive the shock from the tesla, which increases his damage taken by 900% and will stun him, preventing him from doing anything except standing there and taking the punishment!

Every so often, a small Orotron 2000 will spawn from the gold pile next to Blingtron, and immediately run straight to you. These mobs have about 143k health, and "killing" them causes them to be stunned at 1 hp at the spot that you "killed" them. What you need to do is chain these mobs from Blingtron's corner to that of the Bobina Elettromagnetica Gnomesca so that the shock will jump back to him.

The encounter involves moving your way from one corner of the room to the other, while damaging the Orotron 2000 mobs and leaving them in a trail. You need to keep an eye on the missile he launches at regular intervals. Whenever possible, stand a few yards away from where you would like to drop your next link in the chain until the red target spawns under you - that way it won't interfere with you as you dps down the add in the correct location. The adds need to be roughly 8-10 yards apart to trigger the jumps. Don't leave large gaps, and don't AoE...single target dps is the key to making a proper line. Also, you may need to manually target each new mob - tab targeting tends to target nearby inactive bots that you have already placed. I just watched the gold pile for each new add so I knew which one I was attacking. Given their low health, make sure they are where you want them before attacking - it doesn't take much to get them stunned. They hit for barely anything, so having one beating on you is not a big deal while you avoid missiles/get them positioned.

Finally, when your chain is complete, you need to click the Bobina Elettromagnetica Gnomesca to activate it. This involves a cast bar, so be prepared for that and don't get blasted by a rocket while activating it! Once activated, you need to make a beeline for an empty corner - if you are too close to any Orotron 2000 (active or stunned) such that the Bobina Elettromagnetica Gnomesca shock bounces to you, it's game over! Give it a healthy distance, especially since more bots will continue to spawn and run towards you. The shock will bounce from add to add all the way back to Orotron 3000, stunning him.

Finally - now you have to DPS Orotron 3000 down! Save all your cooldowns for this part, because even with 900% increased damage taken, the first part of the fight will have gone on long enough that you will need every bit of burst you can muster. You will not need to avoid anything or worry about mechanics at this stage, except for avoiding the enrage (Rain of fire) until Orotron 3000 is dead!

It may take a few tries to get the correct timing/placement, if you are overly cautious and make your bots spaced too closely together, you will run out of time! Don't let the sparks that crackle between the bots distract you, as long as there is about 10 yards separating the bots, the shock will jump ok. You will need roughly 7 bots, give or take a couple.

TL;DR version:
1) DPS down Orotron 2000s to form a chain of them from the Bobina Elettromagnetica Gnomesca to Orotron 3000, while avoiding missiles.
2) Activate the Bobina Elettromagnetica Gnomesca and stand clear of the chain till the shock passes down the chain, stunning Orotron 3000.
3) Blow CD's, kill Orotron 3000, collect loots!

i was able to unlock this card by getting an "old robot body" out of a blingtron gift box.
i have a video of me killing Blingtron 3000, but i'm a new user, so i can't.
just go to youtube and search Blingtron 3000, should be the first result.

When you're positioning the Blingtron 2000, they'll receive little lines of electricity connecting them to the ones near them. When this happens, you know you've got them spaced close enough. If it's too far away, this electrical line will not happen. This will help in positioning the little guys.

I need to post this because the strat for this boss is dumb and once you pass a certain ilvl you can brute force it. While trying to place the blingtron 2000's i keep having silly issues where they would die and warp back a few steps out of position. Anyway... As a 560 destro lock I was stood in one spot and threw everything at him (except my doomguard, completely forgot to use it... i fail). He has 20 mil HP and that is easy to burn down in under the 2 minute enrage. I moved out of the red circle that spawned so i didn't get hit by the projectile and with the talent soul leech i never took dmg from the blingtron 2000's. When he died the floor had just started to have fire in the middle (horde) so i had about 20-30 secs left.

So if you guys trying this have a high enough ilvl don't even bother with the strat, just burn him down and avoid the big red circle, will make your life a lot easier as the actual strat. Just a suggestion :)

For my fellow ridiculously overgeared players who waited as long as possible because like me, they didn't have spare space for 13 irreplaceable freakin' shirts: careful with legendary cloaks, a proc can freeze one of the little bots in an inconvenient spot. For the same reason, keep your pets on passive until you've chained the bots properly.
