This is one of many of the new items to help with completing the new scenario "Troves of the Thunder King" in which you try to gather as much phat loot as possible in the time given.

This one in particular I am wondering if it is primarily used for reaching those chests in higher up places due the item text stating "launch." Could very well be one of the few and only ways to reach some of those nice larger chests on those ledges that seem otherwise unreachable. We shall see with time.

Bought some of these as I had 20 elder charms before going in already. Basically when you use it it does the racial goblin jump, ~~there is no cooldown on them~~ There is a 10 second cooldown but are still VERY useful for saving time. When getting to the top of the little rises on the side, using this to jump to another or over the barbed wire / bush looking thing saved me a lot of time. Also worked well for jumping over traps if you don't have the levitate potion. I would purchase these if you're not exalted yet and need to blow some coins on something.

Though I am wondering 'what is the best way to use them?'

Do you use it while you jump, or while you run? What has the best effect to get on that ledge?

do not purchase these expecting to get to the high up boxes using them, these things dont have much height, they just have forward momentum and raise you like a foot off the ground, when I used them I was getting stopped mid air by tiny lumps and uneven surfaces on the ground, I wont be wasting my charms on these again, they are useless really, and with the cool down it makes it even more useless the best item so far is the Pozione dei Passi Leggeri

These are pretty useless.

They seem to only give you about 1 yard of vertical lift, which as a dwarf wasn't even the height of my own body, you can jump higher than the lift, so don't think about using these to get you above ledges. They do give you some forward momentum but don't use them on the ground because once you touch the ground the effect stops. So if there's a trap in front of you, or the ground is uneven you'll probably come to a screeching halt before you get the full distance.

Also there seems to be a bug right now where if you use it while jumping you might not get any forward momentum at all and you'll just fart a flame.

The most functional use is when you are up high and running toward a ledge, and then pop a slowfall or goblin glider.

The best use for these though is to spend them on something else.

This should be vendor trash after patch 6.0.2 since you can´t get the key to the Troves of the Thunder king scenario.
