This bag is a reward from a new pet battle daily quest, and has a chance to contain Panda del Sole Panda delle Nevi Panda di Montagna. It is not currently planned to contain Panda Rosso as that will be rewarded from first completion of this quest (as a non-daily).

In the patch notes for 5.2, it states that "Elite battle pets" are going to be added.

They will be easy to spot, sporting a yellow pawprint in place of the standard green one.

Rather than taking the normal progression from uncommon to rare, followed by epic and then legendary, battle pets will leap from rare(blue) to legendary(orange) quality.

These pets will spawn alone against an entire team. The new quest, Beasts of Fable followed by the daily of the same name have been added to track progress as these new pets are hunted down. Completion will award the new Red Panda pet; the daily offers the satchel: Fabled Pandaren Pet Supplies, which may contain the Sunfur Panda, Snowy Panda, and/or Mountain Panda, as well as the standard satchel items. The Pandas share the same model but have unique skins. This is a very similar to the Pandaren Spirit quest and satchel items.

As a note of general interest, do these satchels contain stones to upgrade your pets to elite class pets( blue --> purple)? Or are we stuck with blue quality pets for the time being?

Sadly you have to go back around and beat all 10 of the fabled animals to complete the daily. While they aren't difficult, I sure hope the pandas show up more than the Porcupette and Darkmoon Eye since I have yet to see either of them with the numerous times I've done the dailies =(

Epic pets are reasonably easy to defeat. I lead with the Sprite Darter Hatchling - will beat on the enemy pet for a round or two, then use Life Exchange which will do well over a thousand damage and heal your pet to full. I then will continue beating on the enemy pet until the Hatchling is dead, then switch to the Harbinger of Flame. By this point, usually the enemy pet is near or below 25% health and I'll use Impale to finish the pet. This strategy works on all of the pets. If the enemy pet is not at or below 25% when the Hatchling is killed, any pet that is strong against the enemy type will close the gap fairly easily. Hope this helps.

After fighting Ti'un the turtle in townlong with my "tried&true" crew of Lil' KT;XT&Rag,I became aware that to kill these guys I rly need to make use of the offensive abilities bonus dmg and defensive reduced dmg vs specific pets.I.E.Ti'un being aquatic takes bonus dmg from flying abilities.so w/e pets take less dmg from his aquatic moves(forget atm)& have flying moves are best in this case.
I only mention this cuz its the 1st time ive needed these specific boosts so badl
Also,aquatic take less dmg from undead as i remember kts moves bein red-down-arrowed

4 days so far since 5.2 launch.
1st bag - Flawless Elemental Battle Stone, Mountain Panda
2nd bag - Flawless Flying Battle Stone, Sunfur Panda
3rd bag - Flawless Mechanical Battle Stone, Sunfur Panda
4th bag - Sunfur Panda, no stone

I may just be lucky, but I imagine it's intended to at least drop 1 stone a day with a reasonably high chance at a random panda, given the time travel and pet bandage investment. Here's hoping for a Snowy Panda tomorrow.

So far I've done this daily twice. This is what the bags contained for me:

Judging by the other comments, it appears I have been extremely lucky. I decided to post the contents of my bags to give at least some data, seeing as there currently is no list of possible contents apart from comments. On this note, I will continue to update this post with what I get for as long as it takes me to get the last Panda (that's when I'll stop doing this daily).

"The usual trash" refers to the grey, white and green items shared with other reward bags. I didn't think to record exactly what this was on the first day, and I doubt it matters much in the grand scheme of things... I promised data, but not complete data.

Finally, the elusive Panda del Sole, Pietra Evolutiva Rara Magica and the usual trash. Not a moment too soon, I was getting really quite weary of the daily.

Edit (day 8): I'm sorry, it's going to get a bit confusing as I'm grouping up the days when I get the exact same loot, mostly to save space.

Just received Sacchetto di Cibo per Mascotte Scaduto and Benda per Mascotte da Combattimento x3 from the bag (and very annoyed because of it, all the time spent and effort were for nothing). So no, the stone is not a guaranteed drop.

Received Mountain Panda and bandages, but no battlestone from my first bag.

After visiting bnet forums, it seems as though there is anywhere from a 25%-50% to get one of the pets given the few pages of comments I read.. Maybe 10%-15% chance for each pet? As for the battlestones it seems to be around a 50% chance to get any given stone. Given there are 10 different types, around a 5% drop rate for each battlestone sounds like a reasonable assumption to me.

Once again Blizzard has taken an enjoyable part of the game and made it so difficult that it is ridiculous. I loved these fabled beast battles. Now I am just going to skip them. I have played WoW for 7 years. I am ready to quit. Every time I find something enjoyable they change it to make it 'better' and ruin it. They ruined instances by neglecting 5 mans and turned it into a rep race that gives busy work of doing dailies. So I stopped doing instances. Then they wonder why they lose customers.

What I've been doing with the fabled beasts since the change is lead out with a dragonkin that calls lightning, such as the Wild Jade Hatchling and Wild Golden Hatchling then following up with mechanicals. So far it has worked really well and I've been able to one shot them all, even though my hatchling isn't 25 yet.

Can anyone update as to the rate of pet drops in these bags. Wowhead suggests the three pets are at about 7-9% chance each, but I have opened 42 bags without a single pet. Even at 5% chance each per bag that’s unluckily to the tune of ~1/1000.
