Is needed for Gift of Arthas which requires (240) Alchemy which is quite useful in PVP against Warlocks and Priests.

Arthas' Tears is also needed for the Paladin Epic Mount quest, 10 of them to be exact.

Easy as pie.....

From Light hope Chapel go to all the PvP towers except the one by Strat....

I ran that path for about 1 hour and found around 2 stacks plus other herbs.

I find this to be a good route plus you can pick up some PvP objectives.

I find them in Felwood. A stack of three goes for 3g on my server! i dont think thats that bad.

If you are able to run Razorfen downs easily, the best way to get this item is to run straight to the big skeleton boss guy whos dancing with all his small skeleton buddies. Kill them all. They drop one Arthas' Tears each and are REALLY easy to kill

Speculated to be the flowers spread during Arthas's return to Lordaeron from Northrend, after slaying Mal'Ganis and claiming Frostmourne.

The pedals are still on the ground of Undercity's main entrance.

This is the flower that was thrown at Arthas' feet, it has the same look as the Stratholme Lily, the offhander brought in CoS before you start the event.

Actually, it seems Arthas isn't crying at all now - this herb no longer seems to have any spawn points post shattering.

Looks like when Blizz wiped the plaguelands in the zone revamp they forgot to put these back in or move them to thier new applicable zone (like they did wintersbite -now called Dragon's Teeth in Badlands) Blizz has forgotten to do this with a number of items/vendors. oops ftl.

Still sometimes dropps off of the mobs in Maraudon, though the 5% drop rate means you get maybe one per run. Not really worth while, but interesting to note.

As today i asked a GM for conformatin if thus plans still grow on lands, his answer on this qestion was:

: I just wanted to assure you that these Tears can steal be found, You just need to hunt in the right places ;-)

on my questionto confirm if this is not only in RFD (only 2 spots, 6 herbs) his answer was :

: Well I'm not actually allowed to confirm where they're located these days as it's intended for you to hunt them down independently, I would recommend checking out fansites like for the recent comments of other players who have found them though :-)

becouse his answer was a kind of pionting to this site, and i use this site. i told him the same as others have noticed, that the locations known from this site are replaces with Whiskers, Sungrass and other herbs, and reasked him of the herbs are not grow only in RFD, he said :

: I can't confirm or rule out locations I'm afraid, no >_>

So, if you want to grind thus herbs, we all need ot recheck all lands and herbs or, reenter RFD for a while :)

This plant still can be extracted from Oozing Bags dropped by Dredge Crushers in Silithus. The droprate is not so good though.

This just in, I've gotten a few Arthas' Tears from herbing the corpses of irontree stompers in felwood. It's worth noting that it isn't a frequent drop, but this along with some 'phased zone only' herbs can be gotten this way. I'll have to try it out on other herbable corpses and see what else can be had, but this could provide a means to farm herbs while too low or unable to run RFD.

I've been searching all over eastern and western plaguelands, without a single tear, a lot of sungrass in east though!
I've followed the dotmaps here and a couple of other tips on where to find it, gonna look in razorfen too!

I need it to level up my alchemy, so it's not gone at least!

Anyone know where it is?

It looks like the recipes that used to require this flower now ask for Blindweed (Gift of Arthas) or Purple Lotus (Elixir of Detect Undead.) It's possible that it's been removed entirely; I still have a couple in my herbalist's bank (they've not been deleted,) but I haven't been to RFK lately to see if they're still gather-able.

I'll investigate further later today.

To the best of my knowledge the herb in question has been removed post cataclysim. While leveling Alchemy I found that I needed 15 Arthas' tears to create Elixir to Detect undead.
I searched high and low and also looked at the post on these forums and thought to myself " #@$%$*! Blizz". Then it dawned on me to actually check the recipe requirements to find that the mats needed to make said elixir have been changed. I now need instead. With that being said I would suggest that if for some reason you need the Arthas' Tears for a recipe, don't be like me and waste a few good hours. Look at the mat requirements first. They most likely have been changed. hope this helps :)

I found one of these in a guild bank and was about to try to auction it when it occurred to me to see what was it for first, so I sent it to my 600 alchemist. Of course I don't know all the recipes in the azeroth, but I know a lot, and I looked at all the ones for sale in the AH as well. Afaict, it's for nothing, there are zero recipes that use them any more.

Given that, it seems to me the locations and drop rate are now moot.

If a guide wants you to use these to make something, they don't exist anymore and recipes are replaced with Purple Lotus which only grow in a small spot in felwood and are not common. Just make another recipe using sungrass.

So seems there is a way to get around the "Purple Lotus" both long time farm or high AH price by doing something else.
I did promise to help my son get his alchemy to 300 for some transmutes there so i took druid and farmed herbs and got stucked on the Arthas Tears part too like everyone else doing this,
What i did was farm some extra Sungrass, Khadgar Whisker to make "Superiour Healing Potion" which turns green at 250 after that make "Gift of Arthas" that turns green at 275, using "Blindweed" which also can be farmed in Western Plaguelands where i did go to get the last Kingsblood and Liferoot i needed.
So what i did was basically follow river on picture pick up all Blindweed along it follow edge around lake at Scolomance and back into river when having enough Blindweed go to inland and farm more Kingsblood or move on to where you got to.
