I have a proposal for an epic version of this trinket.

The mechanic is the same, plus:

The moment it is triggered (someone slips on it) this music plays ingame
Both the owner of the trinket and the persnon who slipped get a buff that allows them to trot around with speeded up animation and arms flailing violently. Everyone who gets closer than 5 yards to any of them gets the buff as well and can join the chase.

Between this item and the Hardened Blue Shell, it's like Blizzard's staff was examining MoP at a meeting and one guys was like, "Hey guys, you know what we need? More vanity items for players to troll each other with!"

And then everyone applauded.

To add to the list of ways to annoy people, hunters (or random passerby's) can use this item to interrupt another hunter's tame pet ability.

You know, just in case a certain hunter gets ganked trying to tame a rare mob and wants a bit of revenge...

Since no-one's mentioned it yet: yes, you can slip up on your own Magic Banana. Got tired of waiting for someone to step on it down at the AH and decided to test it out for myself ;)

Also, the duration seems to be 1 minute. After that it just disappears.

I found it fun to put down a Sandbox Tiger and put the Magic Banana in between the tiger and my target of the hour. (well, 2 hours.) Just stand back and watch. They'd turn around and then figure nothing happened and go to the tiger anyway. So easily entertained...

The cooldown on this item is fine. every 2 hours you can interrupt people of both factions hearthing out, fishing, smithing and cop all kind of abuse. worth it's weight in gold.

Funny thing to do: Whenever a paladin bubble + heartstone, use the Magic Banana on him and it will cancel his heartstone.

I know what you're thinking. "It is a nice looking banana, but does it stick to walls?" Yes. Yes it does. This banana is powerful enough to stick to even the walls of Stormwind City. Banana Dorata cannot.

This is a must have item for any World PVPer as an anti-Paladin Bubble Hearth.

It really works.

Keep this item on your side bar and when an enemy uses bubble and starts casting hearth, throw it right under their feet to cause them to instantly slip which cancels their hearth. Now the coward must meet their inescapable fate.

Another item that's listed in the toy box gallery that lost it's toy status prior to reaching the live servers. Apparently a player interrupt once every two hours was far too powerful to make available account-wide. Yes, that's sarcasm. This item completely fits the description of what a "toy" item should be. Disappointing and mind-boggling that it didn't make it.

This seems to not work on players at lvl 100 like other pandaria items such as the sac dagger.

I really don't understand the logic behind why this item has not been converted to a toy.

It doen't matter where you are in the world you will have been exposed to banana skins being used to slip people up in cartoons, comics and elsewhere as you grew up. In fact it's almost obligatory! This is an archetypal toy and really should be converted in my opinion.

An interupt once every two hours could not give anyone a significant advantage in a BG, and even if it did, they wouldn't be able to use it to a very significant advantage given the length of the cool down.

Every time I go to delete this item, I get it out of storage & use it to throw a banana into the entrance of the bank.

The first person running through slips over & pauses there confused about what just happened, and I chuckle and put it back into my bank again.

This will interrupt a hearth cast. Thrown at the feet of a Paladin will interrupt their casting even if they are bubbled.

Did Blizzard change this item this week? When I throw it at people now, they don't trip, they themselves have to walk over it.
