Listening to Fish Fellreed's story, she talks about a lost map, this map is found somewhere and somehow in Valley of the Four Winds which starts a quest. It is likely that the Map quest will lead to getting Il tesoro del Vecchio Cardo and going into the blocked off cave in the North of the zone to get Tesoro del Vecchio Cardo.

According to the Blizzard Webpage this item is a guaranteed off the Cernia del Canneto Enorme in the Valley of the Four Winds.

I've killed him a few times and I've yet to see the drop though, Maybe it is rep based with the Tillers since Trota Mezza Canna is the one that tells you the story.

Killed it twice also best friended with fish fellreed and still nothing.

i noticed fish beeing at the docks sometimes 'so called looking for it' maybe only then it will drop from the cattails

I managed to get in to the cave without the map or any quest, by killing myself right outside the caved in entrance. As a ghost I could pass the barrier and ress inside the cave. Inside are loads of spiders and eggs, and I might add the spiders did kinda hurt. It seems though that the map is necessary for the treasure, because when I managed to locate the treasure chest hiding behind a lvl 90 Echoweb Toxiclaw spider (easily killed) all it says is "The ancient chest is covered in dust..."

So I guess the hunt for this mysterious map continues :)

Prerequisites:

Exalted with The Tillers
Best Friends with all of the denizens of The Tillers

If you meet the criteria, go to the lake next to Trota Mezza Canna and kill an Cernia del Canneto Enorme (The fish with the quest icon on his nameplate) and he should drop it for you.

I believe you must be the Best friend with all the Tillers. I am exalted with the faction and Buddy with Felsteed. The fish doesnt drop the map. I made it to the cave using rez trick but neither the big spider or the chest offered me any options. I guess I should wait till i overstuffed all the pandas and become their Best friend:)

Confirmed as of today, you must be exalted with Tillers, and Best Friends with all the tiller folks. You get no quest to go there, just go and kill him, drops immediately.

I've seen several comments on here stating that the Old Map is a 100% drop rate as long as you're Exalted with the Tillers and Best Friends with all the Tiller members. I've been there for many, many months and just decided today to do this quest on my monk for kicks.

Note: I've already done this quest chain on my main, my Hunter, and had no issues with getting the map to drop. I've never done this quest again since then until trying today.

I've killed the Enormous Cattail Grouper six times on my monk and no map.

Edit: I switched to another server and tried on my 'lock. He's both exalted and best friends with all and the map dropped for him immediately. Looks like it's just an issue with my monk, perhaps. Or, I'm getting senile and I already did the quest on my monk and have completely forgotten doing it. :p Probably so...

I'm exalted with the Tillers and Best Friends will all the Tillers. This *may* be a requirement for getting the map to drop, but even so the drop rate is NOT 100% even if you meet this criteria. Maybe at one time it was, but not anymore. This is reflected in the Wowhead listing for the Old Map itself - look up there and you'll see the drop rate is 9.61% This is also reflected in the listing for the Enormous Cattail Grouper: 10%.
