Is this item farmable? It seems to me that the low drop rate has to do with the fact that it's hidden in some chest inside of Uldaman. Hence that must likely be the *only* way to really farm this item although I'd like to now if you need to enter the instance in order to obtain it?

If you can get this, it's the cheapest way to level leatherworking from 225-240 where it goes yellow. Personally I believe it's worth risking not getting a skill up and making these all the way to 250.

Obtained this while trying to farm Progetto: Lama di Mithril Perversa, It was my 41st Run through Uldaman and was looted from Ancient Treasue Chest, That is the first time I have seen it drop.

This pattern dropped for me today when opening the graves in tanaris, outside Zul'Farrak and killing the sandfury zombies. This is a great place to farm mageweave cloth because the graves respawn nearly immediately. There are about five rows of graves in the area and mostly when I finish the second row, the first already respawned. This pattern dropped there for me, but also a lot of transmog gear, like two of the Tyrant's pieces.

The current game version has the BlizzardUI profession interface say that this pattern is dropped by Golem Mietitore Sovraccarico in Marche Occidentali.
This is clearly erroneous as user Kurasu points out over at that mob's page.

Golem Mietitore Sovraccarico cannot be fought, killed or looted as they're not alive. Instead, they're part of the quest È vivo!.

Perhaps it remains a non-farmable world drop with a higher chance in classic dungeons.
