This item is required to complete The Hidden Chamber quest (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2240) in Uldaman. This item is dropped by Revelosh in Uldaman. Join this piece with the Gni'kiv Medallion (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=7740) found in the chest next to Baelog in Uldaman.

Once you have formed the staff, you place it in the ground in front of the hidden chamber to open the doors, and the boss Ironaya will come out. Once you down the boss, make sure you go all the way into the chamber to complete the quest.

Gni'kiv spelt backwards is Viking.
Tsol spelt backwards is Lost.

The task for opening the door to this boss is a reference to the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

The sunlight enters the chamber and strikes the headpiece. The gem focuses a beam of light onto the model city, showing where the Ark is concealed.

With patch 3.3 comes the dungeon group finder tool, creating a pug with players across different realms...

The problem with this is that the shaft of Tsol CANNOT be traded between cross-realm players, so make sure all the players new to Uldaman know very clearly that the same person who has the medallion must also loot the shaft - else you cannot join them together to open Ironaya's chamber.

Twice today I have said this before killing Revelosh, everyone agrees, then without fail someone Auto-loots him and bam, you can't kill Ironaya or explore her chamber for the quest.

Perhaps kill Revelosh first, then send whoever gets the shaft back to get the medallion from the chest!

Have this up for auction. Just logged in after patch 3.3.2 and it is now a BLUE item. Not sure why yet though.

Got it in my bag now, so not quite "not available to players".
I suppose you can't get hold of it anymore though.
Throw it away if you've got it.

There should be some kind of super-duper warning addon that told you of all the old unusable stuff in your bags and bank.

The note should should say no longer available in game, not unavailable to players. Some of us still have this bad boy.
