They can be harvested at Sunsong ranch, after you have done the appropriate quests to enable farming.
They'll take a day to grow I believe.

You will start your farming by planting a crop that will be immediately ready after you fixed what ever is wrong with it. Then your daily farming begins and it will always be the next day right after midnight server time that it ripens. Once you pick it you will have to plow the land and fix what ever random event happens. The farmer that you learned to farm from will tell you how to fix any thing that is wrong with your crop (Contadino Yoon). There are times that a crop will be ready right after planting it, this is a random event. Simply pick it and plant more.

Acording to wowhead, scallions are "meat."

I must say, that it's some very strange meat indeed....

Tina Palmo Florido is located at either (45, 33.8), or at Halfhill.

When you are level 90, if you have Salmone allo Spirito di Fuoco x5 in your pack she will offer you a daily to turn those in to her for rep.
One Fire Spirit Salmon is made with Salmone Imperiale x1 and Scalogno x5
When you are level 90, her favourite gift is Scheggia di Rubino along with Haohan Palmo Florido

Best Friends with Tina Mudclaw
When she is your Best Friend, the house on the farm will be tied up and there will be food and furniture.
She will also post you a Pranzo Ben Impacchettato which of course has some food within.

(need to wait for a day when she is at home to tell you where she hangs out on the farm)
If she's at the market she will not come to your farm and you must wait for a day when she is at home.

Tied up with the new Pandaren cooking, and the Tiller's reputation are some individual "reputations" associated with ten npcs which are located around Halfhill and the Heartland in Valley of the Four Winds. All the information you could possibly want on farming and the associated reputations can be found in Perculia's guide. Note that there is more information if you scroll up.

Best way to have all ingredients for cooking is to go at Timeless isle and farm tigers Primal Stalker - Crag Stalker and you turn 20 Raw Tiger Steak into Cesto di Cibo Pieno Quest at Nam Ironpaw and at the same NPC you can buy with your Cesto di Cibo Pieno the ingredient you need to rise up your Cooking

If in your server the Timeless Isle is full of players farming the tigers or killing other players for Bloody Coins you can go to The jade Forest Map and farm Winward Tiger.

I personally prefer to farm in Timeless Isle because i'm an Enchanter and all the Timeless plate armors i Disenchant them and get Sha crystals wich i make Enchant Weapon - Dancing Steel Weapon , after that i sell the enchants with 1.2k on Action house.

I was able to immediately harvest a scallion crop once - called '' bustling '' scallion crop, something like that.

This was in the late afternoon, still no idea how it happened or why. But it was pretty darn nice.

Maybe I am just a pro farmer at this point ;)
