I had the pattern drop for me in Maraudon -- a location that is not mentioned in the drop sites.

It's a random world drop that can drop off any mobs of the appropriate leve range.

If you had wowhead looter and contributed data to the site using that tool, it would reflect your drop stats as well.

Quite possibly the rarest old-world leatherworking pattern in the game!

Scarlet Monastry seems to be the best place to farm this pattern, but expect to run it dozens of times.

I've seen this pattern drop once in two years of playing WoW and I lost the roll for it. However, I was able to pick it up several days ago at the Auction House for silly 50g. Somehow this pattern isn't recognizable as "rare" on my server, while a Star Belt pattern (tailoring) is and sells for hundreds of gold easily.

Boots are decent (yay, no Spirit!), but at level 35 there are better options such as Swampwalker Boots or Worn Running Boots. Even Huntsman's Boots are better if you don't need Stamina.

Just picked this up last night in the AH for a 1499g buyout. Felt kinda guilty for paying so little for something I knew I would likely never find on my own... so I sent the seller the largest leatherworkers bag i could make as a gratuity. Scratch one more pattern off my list!
