This dropped in my run, and my entire group was happy for me (a resto druid). One even went as far as to say "that trinket is secks for druids". I didn't share the same elation. First off, mastery is only particularly beneficial when tank healing. It is a weaker stat than intellect, spirit, and haste for resto druids right now. I was hesitant that the great amount of spirit that could proc on the trinket would be enough to make up for the intellect I'd be losing in replacing my old trinket. My group encouraged me to give it a try anyway.

Assuming what others have posted here is correct and the proc rate is 20%:
I wore it for 1 boss fight (I know, I know, not much of a trial run, but at 20%....). My Tears of Blood trinket procced 4 times. Blood of Isiset procced once, and it was only after I had cast nourish.

Correct me if I am wrong, but does this trinket not proc off of hots or instant cast heals?
If so, this is rather terrible for a resto druid.

I also just got this as a resto druid and was extremely excited about the spirit chance on cast, especially since I am constantly running out of mana! I have the heartsong enchant on my staff right now and it constantly procs so I basically have 200+ mana constantly. I tested the trinket out because I wasn't sure it would be worth it. In around 200 healing casts it only had the decency to proc once. I think I'm going to hold on to it for now in the hopes that they fix it, but as it is, I'm sticking with my Sea Star for now for the spirit I know I will have.

I just picked this up on my holy pally. I reforged some of the mastery to spirit. So far its a great trinket, the low proc chance is actually a good thing most of the time, as it would be a huge waste to proc this at full mana.

Dont let the negative comments about this trinket fool you, although its probably not a good choice for a resto druid.

Just tested again. It now procs off of Rejuvenation.

When testing trinkets, be sure to have them equipped for a minute or so before you start testing.
