Accordingg to blue posts this schematic can be salvaged from any mechanicals 70 and up with a higher droprate from higher level mobs. It will be most common from bosses in Ulduar but can also be found on outside mechanicals.

I can confirm based on experience on the ptr that the schematic can be salavged from the Library Guardians in northern Storm Peaks.

Right, the Raw Mats required to build Jeeves as it stands are:

Can confirm you do NOT need 450 Engineering to be able to loot the Schematic. I was able to get it after about 25 min of grinding Library Guardians in Northern Storm Peaks. Currently at 443 Engineering. Happy hunting!

Make sure you are looting AND dissasembling them, alot of people were just killing and leaveing the bodys... i got mine on the "skin". ~3 hours on library guardians.

Got it last night killing, and salvaging, from the mechanicals near fitzcrank airstrip while doing the quests there.....got it in like 30 kills....I cheered...then I cried...once I saw the mats required to make it.

Got it off one of the mobs outside Fizzcrank airstrip, while i was checking the droprate for the Handful of Cobalt Bolts.

Took about twenty kills to get. I was rather surprised honestly, i was mining ore for my new mages engineering and it was the last thing i expected to see off the Mechagnomes. This might be a better spot then the storm peak mobs if you are capable of large scale AoE.

Incase anyone is interested I found my schematic in Stormpeaks within 20mins, just west of the Bouldercrag Refuge flight point. I killed Stormforged Reavers

Found it quite easy as there are friendly npc's also killing the large mechanicals. Simply kill them and engineer or 'skin' them.

There are also Stromforged Raiders (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29377) running around too that look like mechanicals but are humanoids, so just ignore them (try not to use AOE near them as they will aggro on you)

Also, if you get bored of killing these, you can always head east to the Terrace of the Makers and kill library guardians (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=29724)

Ask yourself very carefully if making Jeeves is worth the trouble.

Back when Jeeves used to let you use the auction house in the PTR, this was quite useful and maybe worth getting because of that.

But are you ever seriously going to need to check your bankbox while you are in the middle of nowhere? And scrapbots, which are VERY cheap, are still available for repairing for your raid and dumping vendor trash on. You can't even use jeeves for a mailbox anymore...

Making the repair bots for it is fairly expensive but reasonable, as are this bot is reusable of course, and the cobalt bolts are no big deal, but the two epic gems and the titansteel are bound to cost you a bloody fortune.

The only reason I can imagine ANYONE will make this, is for prestige, and prestige alone. It will be cool to have, but practically speaking, it is not worth the material cost just for utility at all.

When I went to farm the schematic I was concerned that it might have been hotfixed so that it only dropped from Ulduar mobs (I realize it wasn't mentioned by a blue but you never know). I can confirm that it does indeed still drop from Library guardians, I got it from salvaging, and that it seems the droprate is great. There was a Paladin in the area farming them too and we got them almost at the same time.

If you're like me, you'll probably see a lot of other engineers killing Library Guardians. At first this was kinda frustrating but then I noticed some of them would loot the corpse, then "skin" it and if it didnt have the schematic they wouldn't loot anything from the skinning. This let me go over and skin it again, and I would skin up valuable stuff like cobalt bolts and blasting triggers which made me assume this is what was happening. So I would re-skin every dead one I saw in addition to the ones I was killing and eventually when I did loot Jeeves, it was off someone elses kill, who just seconds before skinned it but didn't loot it. I asked them if they saw jeeves on the corpse and they said no it was just a grey item.

So leave no corpse unskinned. Loot everything, even ones people have already checked. Spent about an hour farming the guardians and looting other peoples corpses before getting it. ~200 guardians in total. bring some scrap bots or your vendor mammoth if you have one to sell all the junk. it piles up quick.

I suppose you could get together with a buddy engineer and never actually loot the stuff you skin unless it has jeeves so you both get a chance on each corpse to get it.

Ulduar mechanical bosses have a 3%-15% drop rate on this Schematic, according to WoW's Armory System. I was fortunate enough to get it on my first engineering of Flame Leviathan 25man on patch day. Good luck to all those in need of a 'very' handsome butler.

I can confirm that the schematic does indeed drop from the mobs in storm peaks. I managed to get mine on the first kill from a library guardian at the Inventor's Library which is located right at the Grom'arsh Crash Site with 451 Gnomish Engineering. If it doesn't drop for you, you can always get the Schematic for the scrapbot easily. All though granted, now that the patch is out all the engineers are out farming them so it may be a bit harder to come across.

Parts for Jeeves:

Field Repair Bot 74A x2 - The recipe for this is in BRD on the floor next to Golem Lord Argelmach. Get the shadowforge key, unlock the gate on your left, go forward a bit, turn right and unlock the gate, then go forward again and unlock the door on the left. Go forward and there will be a gear, there's a little pillar-like thing connected to the gear that you can click to dislodge the gear. Once that`s down go up the ramp, and hug the left wall. A passage will have now opened up, cross the bridge. From there on it`s it`s pretty much self explanatory (There's a really extensive guide on thotbott on how to get the shadowforge key, there's also a thread hanging around on the WoW forums somewhere on how to get to the Golem Lord)

Field Repair Bot 110G x10 - Dropped by the Gan'arg Analyzer in Blades Edge Mountains, with max engineering you should be able to get in in between 10-40 kills. Easy level 70`s.

Scrapbot Construction Kit x20 - You get this from a punch card (SCRAP-E Access Card) that begins a quest dropped by Library Gaurdians at the Grom`arsh Crash Site. You need some Handful of Cobalt Bolts and some Overcharged Capacitator`s to complete the quest

Titansteel Bar x8 - Surprisingly, on my server at least, the price did not sky rocket with the patch and you can still get them from about 95-150g. This is server dependent though. Buying the mats and getting somebody to make it would be unwise due to the sky rocketing prices of titanium

King`s Amber x2 - These can be bought with 20 Emblems of Heroism or prospected from titanium ore. They go for about 250-350g on my server.

Handful Cobalt Bolts x30 - Nothing much to it, you just make them

Cost depending on server if you purchase all mats = ~1k
More than likely you won't spend much more than 300-500g

After summoning Jeeves for the first time with jealous ooo's and aaaah's from my guildies, I can confirm that he is a reagent vendor and can also access your bank. He does NOT however follow you around which is a bit disappointing. He sells the same stuff as the Scrapbot Construction Kit. He fly's on a jetpack though, how sweet is that?

I'll update with more directions for the 74A bot and some co-ords + details

EDIT: Kings amber can now be bought with honor! Yes for just 10000 honor you can walk off with an epic gem. They are sold by Captain O'Neal, found at the Champion's Hall in Stormwind. He also sells some recipes.

I got this with my 75 'lock, here are my suggestions for getting this if you are low level and can't cold weather fly yet:
- Open a wormhole to Storm Peaks, it takes you to Ulduar
- Run and jump off the south cliff, use your parachute (you're an engineer, you have a parachute cloak, right?)
- Die on south side of gorge
- Rez at spirit healer
- Wait out your rez sickness
- Kill, loot, and prospect Library Guardians until it drops -- they are 79, but really easy even if you are at level 75 (hit rating helps here).

Note that you can't do the Scrapbot chain until 77, so you'll have to buy or trade at least some of the mats.

i can confirm also, you can get the schematic prior to 450 skill. My engineering is a 71 hunter 441 skill at the time i got the schematic. at the same time i was able to loot the scrape-e card to start the quest but can not start it till 77.

One thing to note: if a non-engineer kills one, you can skin them immediately: the corpse isn't considered 'theirs' after they loot it. If someone is doing the quests then.. jackpot!

Confirmed dropped in real server, it wasnt just PTR.

It drops from Library Guardians from Engineering them - Terrace of the makers.

I bet its around 1% drop rate, as i farmed them for 1 hour.

I got my jeeves schematic after 4 kills at the inventors library. Either the reputed drop rate was vastly underestimated or I got incredibly lucky.

Smart engineers will be selling the mats on the auction house for a premium to engineers too lazy to make the mats themselves. I sold 4 repair bots yesterday and made about 900g net profit, and still have a lot more to sell.

I gathered up 5 Library Guardians, AOE'd them down and the schematic dropped on the 5th mob I salvaged.
I read earlier how some people think Jeeves is not worth the mats. That's plain garbage. Jeeves is for convenience.

Sure they'll be oohs and aahs the first time you activate this robot. The next 100 times you whip it out will save hours off cumulative raiding times. It will save your healers because they can buy mats. It will get you extra gold because you can sell vendor trash during farming runs and keep you focused on farming, not searching for a town.

And why not use a scrapbot over Jeeves? Because scrapbots are consummable. Jeeves is forever.

Also farmed the library guardians. Didn't start keeping an exact count until I had already farmed about two dozen; in the end, it probably dropped around the 50th guardian.

For engineers, this should make the decision between getting the vendor-carrying mammoth or the chopper/hog first a no-brainer -- the only reason to get the mammoth now would be the ability to carry more than one "guest". But even then, what kind of engineer would pass up the chance of all that beautiful noise, and a mechanical gnome servant in rocket boots?

You sir, are an idiot. The correct term for taking parts from a mechanical object is salvaging. Why? Because you are taking useful parts from the object and re-using them again.

Please note the obvious sarcasm in their tone. Technically the term is "engineering," just like it says when you mouse over the corpse. A miner mines, a skinner skins, and an engineer engineers. We all just want to add our own term to replace "engineer" just to make it make more sense to us. Any time you loot a monster you're salvaging the corpse, engineers go beyond that by engineering the mechanical monstrosities.

Got mine for two of my engineers at the Library, one was only 5 kills. My Shammy was level 77 with around 430 engineering when they got it.

The drop rate is definitely lower than what most of the comments would probably lead you to believe. I've been grinding the Library Guardians for about 40 minutes now.

From just this grind, I have 60 Relics of Ulduar. Based on the 33% drop rate of Relics from the Library Guardians, I must have killed 100-180 of these guys. Nothing yet.

Edit 1: Based on poison applications, I ended empty handed after 2 hours worth. Based on 120 Relics, must have been between 200-350 of these guys killed.

I spent 2 different times out there only 30 to 45 min at best before i started going crazy from bordem but the 2nd day paid off. Getting all the mats together as i type this. Awesomely, I was able to 'skin' corpses from someone else doing a quest at the Grom'arsh crash site. I got it from my third Library Guardian.

Great utility as it does not deplete (as opposed to Scrapbot), can run to your bank, has unlimited resources, hangs around 5 minutes longer and is very polite.

Yea , i went to get this schem the second day the patch came out, took me about 15 mins before the schem dropped,
i got it from the loot and not from salvaging , killed about 20 little gnome fellows in north stormpeaks,

To be honest, I think blizzard will nerf the mats down on this thing later since it costs about 1500-2000g for the mats right now, which is 333 normal repair bots. Also, only allowing skilled engs to use the bank is just not as great since most tanks and healers are JCers/Miners (for the dragon's eye gems) which kind of defeats the purpose changing to an off spec and getting gear out of the bank when you can't use that bank. Now, I know some healers and tanks are engs but the majority of them never seem to be. I just have a feeling devs will have to do something to this item so that we won't have to spend as much money on it.

The schematic dropped off of the Library Guardian, 111th to be exact (Yes I kept track). It took me about an hour of farming. It was very easy as a mage because I could pull groups from 1-10 and AoE them down.

As a lvl 71 I took the Argent Tourney free flight from Dalaran. Then if you run up the hill behind the gy, theres a small path that leads up into Storm Peaks. From there run around the mountain that the huge golem is being built on, and youre with all the Library Guardians.
Obviously I had a level 80 escort me and kill all the mobs for me.
After about 60-70 kills I got it. And got 40 relics of Uld, and 40g worth of trash. Took 30 mins.
Once again, for the people who don't read much: you MUST salvage to get this (like skinning).
For the people who are just plain stupid: salvaging (like skinning) requires you to right click an already looted mechanical mob.

Okay folks,
anyone interested in getting Jeeves from Schematic: Jeeves should do the following :

A) gather all the prerequisite Repair Bot recipes first:
1. Field Repair Bot 74A:
this is picked up in BRD from the floor near Golem Lord Argelmach.
2. Field Repair Bot 110G:
this is BoP drop from Gan'arg Analyzers in Blade's Edge Mountains.
3. Scrapbot Construction Kit:
-take 4x and 5xs from your supplies with you.
-head to Storm Peaks and look for Library Guardians.
-kill these until drops (high drop rate), accept the quest it gives.
-return it to SCRAP-E, which is a small robotiod gnome in the 'temple' building on top of the stairs in the area where you are, (37.7, 46.5). Take the follow-up and return it at The Prototype Console, which is right next to him. This awards Scrapbot Construction Kit.

B) farm the Jeeves schematic itself from the Library Guardians just outside:
-kill these guys, loot them empty and then right click them again (this gives you mining type cursor and allows you to 'engineering skin them' - salvage them for parts).
-this process can take anything from 1 to 100+ kills and you'll loot grey rubbish, occasional Cobalt Bolts or Volatile Blasting Triggers. Just keep going until you salvage the Schematics.

This is based on my attempts to get the Schematics from Library Guardians (1 and half hour of farming without the drop) without having the Schematics for 110G. If you think about this, it is kind of logical to have (to know) all the previous inferior models involved. So I went to Blade's Edge, got the 110G Schematics in about 10 minutes, flew back, started on the Library Guardians again and got it dropped in about 5 minutes.
This might have been just a coincidence and the Schematics for the Repair Bots required to build Jeeves might not be required for the Jeeves itself to drop. This is my experience with it anyway.
I can't comment on the skill level required, as I have 450 Engineering already.

Just so everyone is aware, you definitely can loot this off of the level 70ish mobs in Borean Tundra.

My 450 engineer is only level 70 and I could not kill the Library Guardians in Storms Peaks.

It dropped after about 40 mobs. Not too bad.

Many of the earlier posters got lucky lol i farmed for 2 hours the other day and didnt get this schematic, then 2 days later doing the new tourney quest i dropped in cause a troll hunter was killing guardians and after engineering about 20 more of these i got it.

I just got a drop from a level 70 Mob, the things in the geyser fields - borean tundra. i got it while questing in there. i submited a pic of the drop.
it really seems that it has an avrage drop rate, it was around 1% drop for me. got it after around 100 mobs. also the monsters that drop these do not have to be 78+ the onse i got it from wer 69-71.

I am farming the mobs in Borean Tundra, geyser fields for ages and the drop rate is very low, salvaged like more then 200 of those mobs and nothing :(

On a 66 hunter, with the help of a friend, on the Library Guardians, it took about 100 kills, my engineering was 436. So don't think that level has anything to do with it. It's all about the ENGINEERING baby.

I got this on my level 75 rogue without a flier in the Storm Peaks and this is how I did it.

I used my wormhole generator and ported to the Storm Peaks. Luckily it took me to Ulduar. I mounted up and jumped off the terrace then used my parachute to carry me over to the ledge beneath the terrace on the other side. I then jumped to my death (I fell onto other rocks) and spirit rezzed. I waited out the 10 mins then got to farming. It took me only about 15 kills to get the schematic.

I farmed for around 30-45 minutes first time for this with no luck off the librarian guardians. However, there were many others farming it as well and I wasn't getting as many kills and some time was wasted just trying to find another mob to kill.

Tonight or I should say early morning, I decided to try while there would be very few on. It dropped within 15 minutes. One other person showed up shortly after I got there and is still farming for it as we speak. :)

Its going to take a little work for the mats, but I think itll be well worth it in the end. I have gone through tons of repair bots for raids and just regular heroics....this little gem will save me loads of time and mats.

Dropped on my second harvest of a guardian. Can't say what the true drop rate is because i believe it is definitely lower than 50%. I guess I just got lucky. Also, these guys will drop the access card that gives you the quest to start making the other repair bots.

So if you're an engineer and you don't have either of these pattern, I highly suggest you put in the time to obtain both.

The mats for this really aren't that bad - they nerfed the amount of mats you need for the old world repair bot - so essentially its just a bunch of bars and motes. The only thing I had to buy was the epic gems :/. But it is SWEET - it allows repairs and remote bank access.

Anyhow I grinded the librarians in storm peaks because they occasionally drop relics of ulduar too - which I gave to an alt. It took me about an hour of grinding - maybe killed 60 of those little buggers.

I'd like to advise that you learn both of the repair bots (74A and 110G) before farming this. I had learned the 110G but not the 74A the first time I went farming for this. I killed 500 of the Library Guardians without it dropping, so I went to BRD and picked up the 74A. After returning to the Guardians this recipe dropped on the 4th kill. Good luck to you all!

Just found one of these last night on my 357 Engineer skilled Rogue in Borean. Was doing the quests around Fizzcrank and i dismantled about 5 robots and it dropped. So it is possible to get them in this area, although it is stated above that the ones in the Storm Peaks have a much higher drop chance. Goodluck to anyone searching for it!

I hate to say this, but joking aside, I went to farm for Jeeves from the Library Guardians in Storm Peaks and was there maybe 5 minutes before it dropped. My friend logged on later that day and I went with him to help him farm for it as well, and no lie it dropped on his first kill. So don't get discouraged, and if you can't get into Ulduar, don't be afraid to try the Library Guardians in Storm Peaks!

There is a flagrant grammatical error in the Jeeves tooltip.

Requests the presence of Jeeves, the perfect gentleman robot butler, whom will attend to your needs for 10 min.

"Whom" functions as a direct object, and this tooltip is as silly as saying "Jeeves, whom is..."

Another possibility is that whoever wrote this tooltip is mocking the priggish bourgeois nerds who still care about the use of "whom" anymore.

You can kill the mechanicals in Borean Tundra, near the Geyser Fields, to get the recipe aswell. Will probably be faster considering they're around lvl 69, and there are a lot of them around.

I just got this off of the Library Guardians everybody else has mentioned. Took me about 90 minutes total. I cleared the entire area, both levels, 7-8 times. The upside is you get a ton of trash to vendor for gold and you'll stock up on some ENG mats.

If you are a Wintergrasp addict like me, you will have tons of honor to spare.

10k honor gets you a gem, so 20k honor (slightly less than two weeks worth of Wintergrasp quests) and you can get the gems you need from you old world pvp vendors.

I bagged this on 8-27-09 in the Scalding Pools while farming
the robots for volatile blasting triggers. I was not expecting this at all

I just flew up to the Library Guardian's that were mentioned to have a high drop rate. I ran around the area and pulled no more than 10, and had no troubles killing them in a short period of time as an 80 Protection Warrior. Found it in the pile of corpses in front of me.

I wonder, the recipe is worth 12g to a vendor, if it drops that often it might be worth farming. You probably couldn't find another while you have the recipe -- or after you learn it, so you would have to sell it then go back. But it sounds like some quick vendor gold. I think this is only worth doing a few times with a vendor bot nearby, though.

Got mine from the Library Guardians in 2 clears of the area. Took my friend and cleared the entire area about 8 times with no drop. So bring your lucky rabbits foot :)

On a plus note......clearing that area nets you a lot of uldar relics as well as triggers and bolts, plus a good bit of junk to sell. Think we made around 150 gold in trash and got 2 stacks of triggers and 4 stacks of bolts while clearing.

I was just doing the airstrip quest in Borean Tundra and had the Jeeves recipe come up when I skinned one of the sentry bots. Also another confirmation that you don't have to be maxed out on your engineering to have it drop. Now I have time to collect all the mats needed to make him.

To those asking if he's worth the effort, let me ask you this. Did you get into Engineering to make money or to be able to create things not no one else has access to? If you said yes to the first part of the question then you need to find another profession, because Engineering is about constructing explosives and those oddball out of the dimension objects and mechanicals that you get a laugh at every time you use one, especially if the description on the object indicates it may "explode prematurely", or can not be considered 100% reliable. :P

i firmly believe this is random to the game, as i was up faming them and 3 other players were farming them as well, the one nite elf told me he had been up there doing this for 4 weeks about 6-8 hours a day.
( the grey vendor trash an engie gets really adds up quick but selling it to vendor for gold kinda takes the edge off)

get back on here read more and decided to go try other mobs.
so go out to the Borean tundra and farm the Sentry Bot -57-k and after 3 circles, they seems to spawn on outter areas there, i finally found it.

was very very rewarding, it is a bit expensive to make but very helpful as i dont have to run to my bank for stuff.

Told this to 2 of my guildies and they came over (lvl71 and 80) and both had it after an average of 40 mobs so it isnt too bad. When you're 80 you burn down these mobs very easy, no need to pick the higher ones in Stormspeaks

Grinded for this yesterday, dropped within 5 minutes. Went to Library North of Grom'Arsh Crash site in Storm Peaks and farmed the Library Guardians, the mechanognomes on the mechanostrider mounts. These NPCs are at the entrance of the library, down the stairs, and below the landing (which is at the bottom of the stairs). Look for the spinning orbs that they guard (which looks like the frame of a d20, metallic with a white-gold glow) and the guardians spawn relatively well so keeping up a good pace was easy.

As an engineer, you can loot these NPCs twice: once for regular loot, and the other for salvaging (you will see the loot bag, then the mining pick). If anything, its a decent gold and miscellaneous engineering item grind. I made roughly 10-15G the time I was there (considering loot, trash, and repair bill) so it might have potential for serious cash while grinding for Jeeves.

I was lucky to have seen this schematic drop as fast as it did, hopefully you will have the same luck!

As a feral Bear, I was able to round up 7-10 of these at a time and the grinding went real fast. I ran around using faerie fire to pull distant mobs while running into ones in a relative path. While doing this, I occasionally used the swipe ability, hitting all targets near me so that they did not reset. When I got about 7-10, I stopped, hit Demoralizing Roar, and spammed Maul / Swipe (I have the inscription talent where maul attacks an extra target). You might want to hit Barkskin when you stop at the same time as Demoralizing Roar and its possible that if you bite off more than you can chew (as I do frequently >>) pop a healing potion and Frenzied Regeneration while attacking the mob. Its best to not spam Maul while you Regenerate so that you get the full benefit of the regeneration.

Actually, your 'little fun with your own bankbot at level 65' is a myth. In order to make Jeeves, you also need to make various bots, one which is a quest that you can't accept until level 77 (Scrapbot).
Granted, you can just give the mats to someone else & have them make Scrapbot for you, but clarification is there for those who are thinking of making Jeeves entirely on their own with no outside help.

I got the recipe within an hour of farming the Library Guardians. Boring, but very easy on my druid in bearform. The hardly hurt so I was able to kill around 13 Guardians at once. I think I killed around 200 mobs in total before it dropped. Spawnrate was pretty fast so I never had to wait for them to show up. I was able to devide the whole section where the Guardians are found in 3 to 4 parts and continue farming in these parts without downtime.

Remember to loot the mobs twice!

I just got this off a Borean Tundra level 71 mechanical, wasn't looking for it, just chanced upon it while passing thru the area (I don't have a flying mount for Northrend) . My engineering level was 380 at the time. I didn't think much of it until I came here and found out how rare it is to get. Karma's going to bite me in the butt for this one. I spent about half an hour farming this schematic in the northern end of the Storm Peaks, killing all the librarians as has been advised in the previous comments. I had the entire place to myself for about thirty minutes, but no luck. A Blood Elf engineer happened to come to the spot and started killing the librarians too, but he left a corpse behind. I ignored it for a few minutes than seeing that he hadn't claimed it, I took it for my own. Low and behold.. Jeeves was waiting for me.

Keep in mind that while all the vendor trash (greys) may seem like extra cash, it is offset by these mobs not dropping any coins. Also, if this seems expensive to make, remember that unlike a lot of other craftable items, Jeeves will still be useful after the next expansion hits.

One week ago I ran Heroic Halls of Lightning and engineered a Titanium Vanguard my group had just killed and received this schematic. Finished making Jeeves less than 24 hours ago and already I'm loving every bit of him. So are my guildies. Alright, I've been grinding the Library Guardians for a few days now and I have had no luck so far. I have made a little over 100g on vendor trash and found the super sweet Super Simian Sphere on one of them. I'm going to keep at it and Update this if I ever come across them.

A quick note for those farming Jeeves for the gold:

Once looting the schematic, rush to a vendor and sell it for the 12g. This will give you yet another opportunity to grab the schematic again, as having one in your inventory will not allow you to loot it off a salvagable mob. I discovered this after finding a mob I had recently salvaged was not disappearing, with jeeves in inventory. When I sold the schematic to the vendor and ran back to the corpse, the corpse had loot and out came Jeeves again.

Mclovadin - Zuljin. Farmed this from the Librarian Guardians in storm peaks. Less than 15 minutes -+100 kills. Make sure you 'loot' each mob twice. Made about 40g between vendor trash, and engi/ench mats from greens. Happy hunting!

Today i decided to go farm the schematics so i went to storm peaks and started to kill the Library Guardians and got the quest item for the Field Repair bot 110G on my first kill, i finished the quest then went outside and killed 2 more and the schematics for jeeves dropped on the 3rd kill, yay :D

To help give everyone an added estimate, It took me 1 hour of farming this with library guardian while watching American Idol :D

I'm not fully sure on how much i killed, but at the least 75 of them.

It is not a total waste, because of the junk and money you get from the loot and then the engineering pick up, I made about 80 gold, which is not to shabby, I think I might go back just to farm the gold. ^_^

But mind you its not how many you kill, you can get it on your first mob.

You need Engineering skill 400 to farm this, and Engineering 450 to build Jeeves

*Edit; Also if you farm this before skill 450, I suggest to start getting the mats, it help out a lot.

I see alot of "1st try" and "20th try" comments... it must just hate me then... been at it over half an hour, well geared, pull 3-5 library guardians at a time , kill them in about 10-20s, loot AND engineer them, have to have gone through probably 100 enemies, and no drop... I've got 20 blasting triggers and half a stack of cobalt bolts already. Just my luck... dam you random number generator!

**Edit** Finally got it. took me about an hour, made over 100G in vendor trash, 50 triggers, 2 stacks of cobalt bolts, 60 relics of ulduar, and about 10 random greens before I finally got it x.x. I'd estimate 300ish enemies. Not bad cash except that I could make 40G in about 5 minutes extracting eternal fire :S . I hope everyone else can be luckier than I was.

decided to start keeping track today, as i decided today is the day where im gonna get JEEVES, i have been grinding a bit every day for 4 days now, but so far today: 3 hours, 73 relic of ulduar, 50 ish g in vendor trash, 3 16 slot bags filled 3 times, 27 volatile trigers, 22 cobalt bolts, 2 froststeel tubes, and 0 Jeeves. . .

...This might have been just a coincidence and the Schematics for the Repair Bots required to build Jeeves might not be required for the Jeeves itself to drop. This is my experience with it anyway.
I can't comment on the skill level required, as I have 450 Engineering already...

I was just crazy enough to feel the same way, after farming for hours as well. I went and farmed the 110G and turned in the SCRAP-E quest and within only 10 minutes of farming Library Guardians my very own copy of Jeeves dropped.

My Engineering level was only 443 at the time it dropped for me.

Definitely recommend the mobs in borean tundra, mainly because (as a hunter) I just dotted up about 20 at a time and gather them up & AoE what's left of them, where the ones by ulduar are fairly spread apart and have more hp.

2nd time engineers whom already have a Jeeves should avoid learning this recipe, and instead vendor it for the 12 gold. The recipe will keep on dropping as long as you don't learn it, however you cannot have more than 1 of this schematic in your inventory at a time.

If you do have this recipe in your inventory and a 2nd one drops before you've had a chance to vendor, it will not show that it has dropped, but instead it will give you a repeatably "skinable" corpse that seemingly has no loot. The corpse will remain there for 30 minutes, giving you time to vendor the schematic, after which time you will receive the schematic from looting the buggy corpse.

Took me about 25 min to farm this from the Librarian Guardian's. I can confirm that you have to 'skin' them. In my opinion it is worth to farm this. It might take some time to get it, you might not get so lucky. And when you skin them you might get A handfull of cobalt bolts, wich is usefull for the fun enchats a engii can make ^__^

I grinded this last night on my lvl 70 hunter with the aid of my friend on his lvl 80 mage. Both of us had engineering maxed out at 450, (my friend already had the recipe).
We killed the library guardians up at the Terrace of the Makers in Storm Peaks for nearly 2 hours. Looting was set to free for all so I could loot them all then salvage them. I received the recipe on my 344th salvage! (using mobinfo3 for loot count)
I had prepared the mats needed to make Jeeves so crafted him straight away!
Well worth the grind! Jeeves is epic! :D

42 gold worth of vendor trash, 31x Volatile Blasting Trigger, 1x Overcharged Capacitor, and 1x Beatific Mace of Spirit. Took about 35 minutes, the interesting thing that I didn't see posted here before is that while "skinning" the corpses, there was another Ally in the area killing the Guardians just for Exp (was 1 bar from 80) and once he killed one, I noticed "sparkles" on the body after he looted it. I walked over and it was Jeeves!... It was VERY obvious there was something up with the corpse that he killed. I cannot confirm if the corpse sparkles if you kill it.

I feel completely lucky that my seldom played rogue got the schematic off a mech in Halls of Lighting Heroic today....my engineering was already max'd out and I was fortunate to be the only engineer in our group....if someone can update the drops from particular mobs, mark it for the mechanicals in that instance, forget their name but they are the last 2 before you go into Loken's Hall.... :)

Just want to relieve the anxiety of anyone trying to farm this and offer a few insights:

*It DOES drop from the mechanical mobs in Borean Tundra near Fizzcrank Airstrip -- they're low-level (69-71) and spawn quickly.
*The drop rate there is quite poor, however (it took me 305 kills).
*You DO NOT need maxed engineering -- just high enough to "skin" the mobs is sufficient (I had 429 when it dropped).
*You DO NOT need to know any of the Repair Bot/Scrapbot schematics to loot it, either (I knew none of them).
*You DO NOT need to be level 80 (I farmed for the schematic with a 69 twink just as a vanity item). Non-twink, non-80s, might consider farming for Jeeves a bit early for XP and some engineering mats.
*You want to have plenty of bag slots when trying for this in Borean Tundra. In addition to 305 kills' worth of non-gear vendor trash (31 stacks' worth) I looted 11 gray gear pieces, 6 greens, 5 stacks of Cobalt Bolts, 4 stacks of Volatile Blasting Triggers and two Froststeel Tubes. The fewer trips to the vendor you need, the more killing you can do. (You can use your MOLL-E to mail stuff to a banker alt if you want to save time and bag slots.)

Don't give up. It does drop.

Finished making it 1 hour ago with my level 60 hunter twink...

First i got a warlock to summon me near library guardians
Then i got there with my pally which is on same account, and was just pulling groups of 5-8 NPC's, killing them, looting them and then reloging to my hunter to harvest the remains.

After 1 hour and a bit looted the recipe.

P.S had level 430 engineering while harvesting, and in total, raised my engineering 430-450, made wormhole: northrend and jeeves for approximately 1500g (bought everything from AH that i needed)

Great Post - a couple things to add for people who aren't going to read the next pages of comments:

1) For the Field Repair Bot 74A: You do not need the Shadowforge Key if you learned how to make Elemental Seaforium Charges - these absolutely work on this door. Most people got the schematic in BC due to it being based on Consortium rep, but once they're made, they're BOE, so ask a friendly engineer to make you a couple stacks and you'll be set for a long time!

2) In case anyone was stressing about requirements:

You do NOT need to be level 80 to salvage (skin) this schematic.
You do NOT need to be at 450 engineering, though you have to be high enough to salvage the bots (depending on which route you take - borean vs. storm peaks - I'd suggest being at 430).
You do NOT need to know any other bot schematics prior to salvaging this (i.e. this can be the first bot schematic you learn)
For lower level characters, this does drop from the mechanical mobs in Borean Tundra, but the drop rate is better from the Library Guardians in the Storm peaks - levels range from 74 to 79

Some of this may be restating facts, but hopefully this will prevent people from having to read 85 comments!

I had been searching for this schematic for a couple of weeks, but only trying the library guardians at library terrace. Went there 2-3 times a week killing all that were there and no luck.
Then today 2010/06/13 at the top of temple of invention after killing 4-5 mechagnome laborers/ attendants, i got the jeeves schematic. so exciting...
For people who want this i would say your best bet is here. but the terrace is still a good bet too.

PS: Apparently the drop rate may have changed and it is now not as bad to get.

Can anyone confirm that they have gotten this with engineering below 430? I killed several hundreds of library guardians with skill 428 and no drop. This can just be poor luck. Then I started to view the threads and noticed that everyone who has told their skill after the drop, has had 430+ skill. I'm thinking 430 engineering is the minimum for this drop.

About 90 kills if i recall, over about a 3-hour session, with a daily random thrown in to break up the monotony. Along with the schematic I also made over 40g in engineering grays, killed a rare mob (Dirkee) who dropped this, with the "of the Invoker" suffix Ingranaggi di Titanio , as well as a stack of cobalt bolts and a couple of overcharged capacitors.

Ive had easier farms before, but definitely had much harder ones too.

"Skinned" it from a Sentry-bot 57-K in Borean Tundra. I went there with the intention of getting the recipe as I was level 71 and way too low to efficiently grind the mobs outside the library in Storm Peaks.

To my surprise the schematic dropped from my third kill. In comparison, on my first engineer it took around 65 kills of the library mobs in Storm Peaks before I got the schematic.
I'm fully aware that I was probably just very lucky to get it so quickly this time around, particularly from lower level mobs but it makes me wonder if perhaps the mob's level has little bearing on the schematic's droprate.

Might be worth bearing in mind if you've power-levelled your engineering in order to wear the goggles at 72 and want to get yourself an early Jeeves too.

I can confirm that the best place to farm this recipe is near the Fizzcrank Airstrip, Borean Tundra.

A lot of people have been saying that they have spent hours farming in Storm peaks and have looted it after 3-4 hours. It took me and my friend around 20 minutes to loot one of these each in the pools surrounding the airstrip. Any level 80 can pull 4-5 easily at a time, drastically reducing the time it will take to loot the Schematic.

Now just to farm the materials!

Cataclysm update.
As of 4.0.1, I was able to farm Schematic: Jeeves with my level 73 ProPally with engi skill 375 in 15 minutes off a Level 70 Sentry-bot 57-K, from the tower just SE of Fizzcrank Airstrip.

Got a few nice engi parts along the way as others have mentioned, but focus on the Fizzcrank Mechagnomes and Sentry-bot 57-K's... they drop the nice engi parts (volatile blasting trigger, cobalt bolts) as well as the Schematic when you loot them twice. Other mechs in that area drop mostly junk. I killed about 30 alarm bots and 10 Mechagnomes.

Went off to farm the schematic off the Library Guardian with 405 skills of engineering. After "skinning" five or six Library Guardian it dropped. So, like someone stated earlier, you do not need 450 skills of engineering for this schematic to drop. Don't know if I was lucky on the drop chance, but my brother also didn't farmed it longer then 5 or 10 minutes. Just make sure you actually "skin" the mobs, i know someone who actually thought it just dropped without skinning them and spend a couple of hours killing the mobs without "skinning" them.

Just to correct the rampant misinformation in this thread about the best place to farm the Jeeves schematic, it can be skinned from any mechanical mob in Northrend with an equal drop chance of 1-2%, and from certain Ulduar mobs with a 3-14% drop chance.

For anyone who enjoys the pain and suffering of leveing a profession more than once on the same toon, I have some good news!
Months ago, my DK was my main, and a 450 engi. Recently I reitred him and chaged his professions to better suit my guild. After getting 2 more toons to level 80, I decided to pull my DK out or retirement and after careful consideration, I decided to, yet again, level engineering.
After grinding the Library Guardians for 3 days straight, I began to wonder if Bilzzard, in their infinite wisdom, restricted the drop for the Schematic: Jeeves to only once per character. The good news is this: after 3 hours on the 4th day of farming, it finally dropped for me again.
If you are a mount collecter, please make sure you leave the engi only mounts for last, as engi is probably the most expensive to level, and not very profitable when only selling the items you make while leveling it.

yes it can still be salvaged from Library Guardians, although it might be a good idea to wait until lvl 77, as a 3 lvl difference could be painful, most importantly u need to be lvl 77 for the Scrap-E quest, assuming ur farming for your own bot schematics(since ur farming for jeeves in the first place...).

also it took me around an hour to finally see it.

Oh Yea, It still costs a pretty penny (ergo gold) in mats putting him together but an engineer in my realm was nice enough to fabricate for free the items necessary when I provided the mats. About 2-3k gold worth of stuff.

Putting Jeeves together was worth the anticipation!

I just got really lucky I suppose. I power leveled my Engineering in a couple hours and had a guildie take me up there to grind out the Jeeves plans. After 5 minutes of killing, Time Lost Proto-Drake flew by, my guildie killed it, and I got the mount. Then 40 minutes of grind later, I got my Jeeves finally.

Currently Goblins and Worgen cannot learn the mechanohog plans from the quarter masters in Northrend, they can BUY them, but cannot learn them.

Is there a similar issue with getting Jeeves to drop on a Worgen or Goblin? I've been farming for days at 85 with 525 engineering and nothing.

The way I did it was quite simple - not try for it. I just did all the quests for the mechagnomes and bots around Fizzcrank Airstrip, and when I had to use a bot I killed for a quest which would destroy the corpse (there are several), I would 'salvage' the corpse first, just to make sure it had nothing good. Anyway, got plenty of engineering goodies along the way, and finally got me my schematic. =)

Farmed the Library Guardians in NW Storm Peaks @ the Terrace of Makers and got mine after about 30 kills.
With the superiority of Cataclysm greens, my 77 Shadow Priest had no issue agro'ing up 3-4 at a time.

I got my schematic today (2/8/2011, Patch 4.0.6) like most in Storm's Peak off the Library Guardians. It took ~1 hour but I didnt count how many kills it took. However, here are the items and quantities I had in my bags when I finally got the schematic:

OMGoodness! I'm a L85 on Dalaran-US and was farming the Guardiano della Bibliotecas which yielded NO RESULTS!

So, I decided to enter normal Halls of Lightning Sale del Fulmine and farm the Stormforged Contsructs Costrutto Forgiatuono in there - since Halls of Lightning is the highest dungeon zone in the Storm Peaks.

After killing 7 Stormforged Contsructs Costrutto Forgiatuono, I received the schematic for Jeeves :-D

Prior, I spent about 2-3 hours farming the Guardiano della Bibliotecas.

If you can't can't find a way to solo Flame Leviathan in Uldar and farming the Library Guardians is killing your patience, go for the mechanical constructs in a normal Halls of Stone or normal Halls of Lightning.

It worked for me, and I got decent gold for killing the mobs/bosses along the way.

Just updating the farm for 4.0.6 . I hope your experiences are as fortunate as mine were!. My engineer toon was made during Wotlk and did not have the prerequisite 'rBot' ## recipes needed as mats for Jeeves. Upon reaching 540 (gnome) and deciding to go after the 'goodies' of the profession, I decided to farm Jeeves.
I snuck into BRD (easy as a L85 rogue, in fact you have to go out of your way to aggro mobs there - BUT STILL RESPECT THEM. The officers still have divine shield, stuns still pepper you down, and the healers still heal) <- nothing a good vanish can't cure tho.
With the new(ish) 'abandoned' mole machines, getting to this recipe is cake. (For RB-74A). Take the mole machine to the bar, backtrack to the garrison, flip the lock (you dont need the key for this now / or my rogue was just able to pick it). Carry on to the West Garrison, go next to Golem Lord Whatzhisnutz, and loot the plans (copy) which are on the floor next to him. Its always there. Simple.
Then, going to BEM to grind the plans for the RB 110G. This dropped off the Gar$&@^$ Analysers on the 3rd kill. I suspect that Blizz has upped the drop rate on this schematic. I'm never this lucky grinding plans. (My last grind was for those blasted sp wrist enchants in BC that took 300 kills and 3 days off the BEM wind-traders Argh).
So finally, the push for Jeeves plans itself (note I already had MOLL-E plans, but any engineer will undoubtedly get a MOLL-E schematic farming librarians as well, if they don't already). I farmed the librarians near Ulduar. It IS important to use your engineering 'skinning' ability on these after you loot them - this is the primary reason that drop reporting to wowhead is so thin, due to lack of engineering skinning as a practice, and the lack of people who use wowhead, who are also engineers, to update the dbase - so dont be discouraged by the low apparent drop rates. Mine dropped on the 3rd mob.
I seriously doubt I am THAT lucky. So if like me, you were intimidated by previous posts, I think the grind has become somewhat tamer now - don't hesitate to go for it.

Note: Yes the Scrapbots are a more efficient way to make (albeit exhaustible) repair bots with reagents on them. But only Jeeves gives you access to your personal bank (exception being the Argent Squire on a much longer CD).

Between Jeeves, scrapbots (if you need to summon before 1hr cd on Jeeves), MOLL-E, squire, and Guild Perk Bank Chest - you may never need to visit a capital city again! (ie. more efficient farming) Now if we could only get an Anvil and Forge incorporated into our Gnomish Army Knife....

My 525 engineer got the recipe from library guardians within 15-20 minutes and one round of the mobs - didn't have to wait for respawns.

Given my result and a slew of recent commenters saying that they got the recipe quickly I'm guessing the drop rate's been increased, though I have no proof of this.

Dropped from Library Guardians on Terrace of the Makers in north storm peaks, just under ulduar.

Not completly sure how many i went throug but it took roughly 20min of farming.

Remember u have to "skin" the mobs to get the pattern, its not enough just to loot them.

Go learn the schematic from BRD and the one from trainer before farming for this.. I didn't, and farmed for an hour, then went to BRD, learned schematic and went back to Storm Peaks and got the schematic in 5 kills.

I actually got really lucky with getting mine. I was in the area where it drops (I wasn't even thinking about Jeeves at the time, I didn't even know the schematic dropped there). I discovered that the NPCs can be engineered and that sometimes they dropped cobalt bolts or volatile blasting triggers, both of which I needed plenty of. Anyone I'm going around farming those mats (not really paying attention to what I was getting all the time) when all of a sudden I see a message come up saying Looting Schema: Alfred will bind the item to you. I see this and I'm like *jaw drops* "YES!"
Anyway I think it took me somewhere around 50 kills before I got it. But I didn't learn until 450 Engineering, which I didn't get to until I was 80 (this being in the days of WotLK) and I was level 71 at that time.
And Jeeves is easily one the best things that engineers can make. I love having him when I'm doing Cataclysm Heroics.

Never got it on my hunter although i farmed at least 10 hours with him. With my pala i got it while questing in Borean Tundra of those robots. With my rogue i just started farming :) I'm testing if having the other schematics has any effect on the droprate. My hunter doesnt have the other rep bot shematics. My rogue and my pala have.

HOLY CRAP Jeeves is expensive!

I got the pattern out of BC first (only because I read this thread first), took less then 20 kills. Then headed to farm pattern for Jeeves, again got it in around 20-30 kills. That was the easy part.....

I spent the rest of the day getting other patterns needed. i.e. fuse wiring (didn't have, but just a quick trip to Wintersgrasp), went to BRD to get the old repair bot pattern, and did the quest that drops off of the library guards for the other repair bot (cheapest to make, need 20 but are made in stacks of 5).

I farmed almost everything I needed except the Khorium bars that are needed for the power bar. I still spent around 2k total I believe.

Super cool to have, but very time consuming and expensive to make. I feel it was worth it, but this will be my only engineer (I have 3 525) that will every get it!

I got the schematic on both of my engineers on the same day, after farming the Library Guardians for around 10 min each on each character. I got them both from salvaging so you just have to remember to salvage after looting. also, I didn't have the 110g repair bot schematic at the time or the one from scrap-e.

After 1.5 hours of farming Library Guardians, Jeeves' schematic finally dropped (as result of salvaging). I did go into Halls of Stone to no avail for about 7 minutes... Too few mechanicals therein. I'd suggest to anyone farming this that you prepare the Titansteel Bars ahead of time, that way you're committed to the farming effot, which isn't fun, at any level.

Guys i am on the edge of going insane.
First i went to storm peak and farmed there for 2 hours without result (lLibrarian Guardian). I gave up and went to Fizzcrank Airstrip and killed every thing that moved for 2 hours. Then again i gave up and went to The Geyser Fields and killed anything that moved again.

Just to clear it all out. Im skill lvl 525 engieneer and yes i did loot and then salavged all the mobs with out any luck.

Is this really that hard to get a hold on? everyone says they did it in few kills or one hour. i spend 6 hours so far lol. I am lvl 85 so if it is easier in any dungeons or in dungeons HC or?

First librarian killed dropped the SCRAP-E quest. Accepted it, but didn't complete it yet. I didn't have the schematics for the TBC bot at this time (only the BRD one).

Third librarian salvaged dropped the Jeeves schematic.

So it's just random. Has nothing to do with knowing the older schematics and/or finishing the SCRAP-E quest.

Recommendation if farming at the Inventor's Library:

Farm on the very top level versus the lower level.
On the lower, when you "mine" the library guardians, it is all grey junk

On the upper level, when you "mine", it is some grey junk along with some useful engineering parts.

I spent about 20 min on the lower level and got nothing but grey items, thought I would move up to the top level closer to the entrance and the Jeeves schematic dropped in about 6 minutes after farming on the upper level.

In those 6 minutes I also collected 4 bolts, 10 volatile triggers, one overcharged capacitor and some tubing

I have level 425 engineering, Level 79 warlock.

The Library, where the librarian guardians are, is in two levels. Like the fool that I am, I didn't notice this until after nearly 3 hours of farming the upper terrace to no avail. Then went to lower terrace and got Jeeves within 10 - 15 mobs. Don't know if this is any help to anyone, but it's here for what it's worth.

So I have had 525 engineering on my alt since shortly after Cataclysm was released, but never really bothered to get any of the repair bots )despite the fact that they are great help in dungeons and certain indoor raids). So today I figured I would get it all done at once. This pattern dropped off the fourth Library Guardian I killed and the Scrapbot Quest Item dropped on the first kill. I was psyched, so I went and got the schematic from Blackrock Depths (took about 5 minutes on a level 85). The next up was the repair bot from Blade's Edge Mountain, again this dropped in about 5 kills. Another hour of farming (Titanium for the titansteel being the hardest and the delicate copper wire being ahrd as well since it requires a jeweller) and it was done. I heard so many nightmare stories about the drop rate of the pattern I just wanted to put my 2 cents here.

As a level 79 Rogue with 450 engineering skill i have farmed Jeeves for several hours. In fact i was halfway to level 80 when i began and grinded until i reached level 80 with no drop. So dinged 80, looted the guardian, salvaged it, and BAM, there he was ;-)
I dont know whats right or wrong here, i can see alot of others have had Jeeves drop before level 80, but coincidence that he drops on the first guardian i salvage after i reach level 80, and not from 300-400 guardians before level 80? I dont know..
Maybe the droprate raises dramatically at 80...?

So, I took everyone's advice and started farming Guardiano della Biblioteca at Terrace of the Makers. It did not take nearly as long as I had thought. I should have timed it, but I got the drop after about 30 - 45 minutes of farming. I found that the Guardiano della Bibliotecas are spaced far enough away that it is difficult to gather up more than about 4-5. But, their respawn is pretty quick. So, it was not bad at all. I am very happy that I did it.

Just remember that it is BoP. I am not sure if it drops for non-engineers.

I farmed the Library Guardians like most people, the only thing I can say is be prepaired with a lot of bag space and maybe a few Scrapbot's made from the quest you can from killing these guys so you can sell the trash you get from it.. I killed ~450 of the mobs to get the Schematic, well worth it, and the Loot / Salvaging you get from these guys is not too bad as well, I got about 200 gold just from that.

TL;DR: Have lots of Bag space and Time and Patience if your luck isn't that good.

Only took me a handful of kills to get the pattern.

Remember that if you are looking to actually make the Jeeves, that you must also have the Kit di Costruzione per Scartobot from the SCRAP-E, which you get as a quest from a pickup item. Scheda d'Accesso di SCART-O.

Bring along 4x Handful of Cobolt Bolts and 5x Overcharged Capacitors to complete the quest without having to return to purchase or make the items.

Was doing the A sinistra per svitare, a destra per avvitare quest tonight. I went out to kill ED-210 and killed a random Meccanognomo di Frizzapistone. Looted, salvaged, and this popped up. No farming, didn't even know what it was until I read it.

I've been farming the Librarian Guardians for approximately 3-4 hours now, having killed (in estimation), close to 800, yet nary a drop. Clearly the drop rates for this schematic was nerfed; either that, or there is some other prerequisite to finding this recipe. I noticed someone suggested the completion of a specific quest, but that seems unlikely. Either way, the drop rates are certainly not what they've been bragged up to be.

I'm not the most interested person in my alt, a paladin, who is also my 525 engineer (haven't yet played her in MoP), and yesterday I was bored with my fiance and he decided to farm for Jevees and the other two patterns required to make it. I was not going to farm for mine, because reading here it sounded really hard and I really didn't want to waste any time with it. I was just getting the pattern on SCRAP-E, and by curiosity, trying to figure out what I had to go for it, I went outside and instantly aggroed a couple of the library mobs, because 81's are green to 85's. I looted, found the quest, saw the mining pick (I thought I could just mine it, took me the second one to find out what it really was), and when i salvaged the very first one I saw Jeeves. My fiance was on another toon getting the cobalt and whatever else we needed to actually complete the SCRAP-E quest. I felt really bad when i saw it drop for me and i was doing that for him, but it didn't last for not even 15 minutes. I helped him to kill some more of those mobs and... He got it too! I never knew it was as easy as it was, and if I did, I'd seriously do that in the past before blizzard ruined paladins. And the other bot we had to farm took only about 10 mobs each. It took longer to farm for the eternal fire and eternal shadow (had the earth already) than for all 3 patterns combined. True story.

I wish everyone the same luck I had with it. Good farming =)

I believe that they must have improved the drop-rate (from salvaging) on this schematic. My plan was to go into a dungeon/raid in hopes of finding this; however, I decided that I would kill a few Library Guardians since I was in the area. I killed two npcs at the same time. One had the Scrap-E quest starter item, and the other one had the schematic for Jeeves. I was surprised.

Years ago I farmed the same mobs for hours with no luck. Based on my experience and previous comments, I am led to believe that they improved the drop-rate, significantly, which is great.

I picked up this schematic from my 4th kill of a Guardiano della Biblioteca. I was actually going to run Ulduar but decided to kill some of these guys for giggles. It wasn't looted from the kill, but looted from the engineering I did on it after I looted it. Happy Hunting on this one!

Finally started to level up engineering and decided to start looking for the Jeeves schematic. Went to the area suggested (guardians just south of Ulduar) and it dropped after about an hour (split into 2, 30 min intervals) and it dropped! Approx. 90 kills. They are kind of clustered, but not enough for a multi shot on a hunter to get more than 1 at a time.

If you have saved/extra mats from leveling your engineering, minus the Titansteel Bar, you should be able to make your Jeeves as soon as you get the schematic- or pay another engineer who was all the schematics to make them( on my realm it would cost about 300g plus tip)

The guardians also drop helpful materials- such as volatile blasting trigger, just make sure you ''skin'' after looting!

I was farming in Borean Tundra, killing things and salvaging them... after hours of nothing, I gave up. My friend, lucky him, got it on both his engineers after only a few kills. So he says, "Come over to Storm Peaks and kill these Library Guardians, you'll get it so fast!" So I did... took me 125 kills, salvaging each one, but I finally got it! =D

Now I can go farm heavy junkboxes for my main's Ravenholdt rep, with a MOLL-E and a Jeeves to help me out. <3

Library guardians are the way to go. Make sure you also post-process them (use engineering skill on them). Dropped for me after about 15 minutes.

HEY! Anyone interested in getting Jeeves from Schematic: Jeeves should do the following :

A) gather all the prerequisite Repair Bot recipes first (not pre-requisite to find Schematic: Jeeves):
1. Field Repair Bot 74A:
this is picked up in BRD from the floor near Golem Lord Argelmach: Easy, go on youtube and type how to get to Golem Lord Argelmach. I followed one, took me less than 5 minutes in my mage.
2. Field Repair Bot 110G:
this is BoP drop from Gan'arg Analyzers in Blade's Edge Mountains, they spawn on 4 different locations, 5 per site, just kill them and wait for them to respawn until you get the Schematic. Took me 25 minutes.
3. Scrapbot Construction Kit:
-take 4x and 5xs from your supplies with you.
-head to Storm Peaks and look for Library Guardians (Which also drop Schematic: Jeeves but it has a much lower drop chance, MUCH lower).
-kill these until drops (high drop rate), accept the quest it gives.
-return it to SCRAP-E, which is a small robotiod gnome in the 'temple' building on top of the stairs in the area where you are, (37.7, 46.5). Take the follow-up and return it at The Prototype Console, which is right next to him. This awards Scrapbot Construction Kit (You will need all these repair bots later to fuse them together on Mr. J).

B) farm the Jeeves schematic itself from the Library Guardians just outside (SAME LOCATION):
-kill these guys, loot them empty and then right click them again (this gives you mining type cursor and allows you to 'engineering skin them' - salvage them for parts).
-this process can take anything from 1 to 100+ kills and you'll loot grey rubbish, occasional Cobalt Bolts or Volatile Blasting Triggers. Just keep going until you salvage the Schematics. Took me like aprox. 100 of them until i finally saw the Schematic drop.

Shortest farming I have ever done. Third kill it dropped. Library Guardian. There were a lot of people farming while I was, I'm on a high population server. If you have any friends on a low server I suggest asking them for an invite so you can pop over to their realm.

Went back to Storm Peaks on my panda, remembering my Cata experience with my Gnome engineer. 3 days of grinding the library guardians, salvaging every one. A GM queried me about a ticket, and solved that, and I asked him if the Schematic: Jeeves dropped. He said, yes, it still drops. Conversation over. 3 guardians later, Schematic dropped.

This time, I think we did about 20 guardians and it dropped. Actually, the first group killed was 4 or 5 guardians. The SCRAP-E card dropped 3 times. Now I get to grind to 77, or find a friendly engineer on this realm who can make the SCRAPBOT so I can make Jeeves.

The RNG is not always in my favor. I had to open 719 eggs this year on a toon during Noble Garden to get the Shirt for the quest completion..... <sigh>

As in for patch 5.4 and for engineers only this is a very sure drop. I went in killed my guardian and got my scrap-e card. When i salvaged it i got my schematic for jeeves. So dont worry guys its an easy drop

I was normally queing and running Halls of Stone on my shaman who is a engineer and miner, and the first Unrelenting Construct I killed and salvaged, the Schematic: Jeeves dropped. I instantly came here and saw it was a 0.01% drop rate off those guys. Instant jaw drop moment! And I can't get the damn Ashes of Al'ar? sigh x10

i didnt bother scrolling down passed the first few posts.. you realise the drop rate is not a true reflection of an engineers drop rate? you drop it once.. and any other profession player wont ever see it right? how many times have these things been killed by an engineer without it. not as many as none engineers or ones with it... the drop rate is quite high 20 seconds or so and you should have yours if you are extremely unlucky. librarians are best source for the random solo wonderer.

Also comfirmed dropped in Ulduar 25 man raid. Got it yesterday from a mob I unfortunatly forgot name of. Was looted by mining a body of a mob as Engineering skilled, no Mining skill at all :)

Have just spent over 5 hours farming this recipe over 2 days and found out it had been in my bank afterwards (were going to clean my bank, yay), which I think has been there 2+ years since wotlk (since I couldn't use it back then, skill level weren't high enough, at least I think so).

A huge face palm was planted upon my face.

If your toon is old and has had engineering for a long time but never got it at max. CHECK YOUR BANK PEOPLE :-(

As of Patch 6.0.3 it's still dropping but after about 30 Library Guardian kills I started running back and salvaging the corpses. It actually dropped from my last salvage. So don't just loot, salvage!

Well I was just insanely lucky i suppose. Went to farm schematic from the Librarian guardians, my first kill yielded the Scrap-E quest card. I had to fly back to dal as i had forgotten my army knife & could not salvage, when i got back the first one I killed & salvaged had the schematic for Jeeves. WOOHOO!

There is probably some internal mechanism that prevents the schematic from dropping if you have already learned it. I learned my schematic and then came back to farm Guardiano della Biblioteca (geeky, I know > <). It no longer drops even after ~500 Guardiano della Bibliotecas killed and salvaged.

I believe it's safe to say that the drop rate have been increased to close to a 100 % chance.

There's multiple recent comments that confirms this and I got the schematic on my first salvage on two different characters.

425 Engineer (Jeeves requires 450 to learn) first salvage of a Librarian Guardian in Storm Peaks.

600 Engineer first salvage of a Stormforged Construct inside Halls of Lightning.

Has anyone ever received this a second time as a drop after receiving it once and binding the schematic to the character? I haven't seen it drop again since I received it the first time. If these claims of the drop rate now being high are true, I should have encountered it in a drop again since then.

Need advice: Is my game bugged or do I just have the worst luck in the world? I have been farming to get the Jeeves Schematic for the past 7 days. I have been mostly killing the library guardians in the Storm Peaks and have only recently moved to the pools by Fizzlecrank airstrip in Borean Tundra and still no luck. I have probably killed around 600 guardians and robots. Should I put in a ticket or just chalk it up to bad luck and simply use the Scrapbot? And yes I do have the other 2 repairbot recipes and I have been looting each robot 2x.

NVM...finally got it. Had to go back to guardians and it finally dropped.

Yep, the thing is to mine the mechanical mobs you kill. I got it that way when Jeeves first came out and just got it on another server mining the 2nd mob I killed in Halls of Stone. Cake. BTW, my eng isn't even 200 yet. I have to get it to 450 before I can learn this schematic, but it's all good. This toon is lvl 103.

Wowhead has a great guide to make a Jeeves Robot, but I figured I would still comment about my experience getting everything

Jeeves is one of the greatest item I have in wow and one of the many reasons that engineering is my favorite profession. My engineers have a portable mailbox "MOLL-E", Jeeves, unlimited goblin glider, speed boost belts, wormholes and many amazing items that make the game so much fun. You will find groups inviting you back to dungeons and raids because you have all the cool toys that will give the group a way get repairs and clean out their bags.

For the Jeeves recipe, I am not sure if the drop rate is 100%, but I have gotten it on 2 engineers and they both got it on their first try. Just make sure that you kill (and mine) the trash near the XT-002 Deconstructor boss in the Ulduar raid. I originally thought it was a boss drop, but nope, it is a trash mining operation. Once you have the plans, you need to craft the parts used to make him which requires recipe drops found throughout other zones. Since there is RNG, you may not get all the parts easily, so I caved and just blew gold on the AH to craft him. The parts were over priced, but worth it for such a great item.

After caving I decided to see what it took to go farm the recipes. For the "Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G" I farmed the recipe in blades edge mountain. I just killed mobs around the edges for about 5 mins and the recipe for that item dropped, so appears to be high drop rate. The issue, however is that the mobs that drop them are in 4 spots around the zone and if they are killed, they are not super fast re-spawn so while I was farming there were people questing through and killing them.

For "Scrapbot Construction Kit", this was a 2 minute quest that you get off of mobs in storm peaks. Just kill the mobs outside the inventors library and they will drop a quest that starts a very short chain to get the schematic.

For the last part, "Field Repair Bot 74A", you need to head to the Blackrock Depths Dungeon. The schematic is literally on the floor next to the Golem Lord Argelmach boss. The dungeon is quite the maze, but check out a guide if you get lost in there and are not sure where he is.

All together it took about an hour of farming to get Jeeves crafted and ready to use. Hopefully this helps to make your own Jeeves, or at least get the recipes for his parts that you can sell on the AH.

IF BUILDING UP A NEW MAIN & have already done the grind on an alt...

Directly head to Storm Peaks & start killing the Library Guardians... They'll drop the schematic, no previous steps needed (of course u need to have the required engineering lvl).

You can just make the component bots on your alt & mail them to yourself.

Patch 8.0 Battle for Azeroth

This recipe just dropped for me from killing the Library Guardians, even though i did not have the Scrapbot Construction kit learned. In fact i can't get that to drop, as it had a Engineering Skill Requirement of 400 to drop. I don't know how high the Engineering Skill has to be, in order for SCRAP-E Access Card to drop.

Overall so far that new Crafting System is more confusing and annoying, as now you have to go to each Expansion to just Learn the Skill from that Expansion. Something that isn't Obvious to someone new and for someone old to this ... before the Trainer in the newest Expansion Pack could teach you ALL The old Skills and raise your Cap to what's Max now.
Also, i not really get why they didn't revamp the Mining Nodes and Herbing Nodes so they are like in the new content(that is they persist for some time after being harvested) ... and not vanish after ONE person harvest them.

I am flying all around in Northrend ... and there is NO Node ... YAY i just have to raise that skill with Northrend Engineering Recipes i guess ...

Just a clarification for those that, like me, didn't find what is the required Engineering levels needed for the schematics to show up.

Field Repair Bot 74A: I'm not sure, I had 300 Classic engineering when I got it.

Field Repair Bot 110G: For me it dropped on the first 6 loots when I had 25 Outland engineering.

Scrapbot Construction Kit: The SCRAP-E card didn't drop for me at all until I had Northrend engineering at 25. After that it was a 100% chance and I looted it on the first kill.

Jeeves: Since the droprate is low even for maxed out engineers and I didn't know (still don't) which level in the new system is required for it to drop, I leveled Northrend engineering to 50 before even attempting it. I was lucky, it dropped for me on the second loot. But it requires Northrend engineering 75 to use.

I got the Jeeves recipe in my first salvaging Flame Leviathan on my lvl 1 Northrend engineer.
No minimum level of engineering is required to obtain it.

If still farming this because you're like Ash Katchem with his Pokemon and you have to collect everything, this is still dropping from Library Guardians. I picked one up after only about two minutes. I almost forgot I had to reverse engineer these guys to find the plan which could have been a little annoying. Only had to kill around a dozen or so.

Can confirm I got it with only have 300 Engineering. Got the Schematics after killing Library Guardian's for about 5 minutes. I got it off of 'skinning' or 'engineering' the dead body of one.

Requires a fully maxed 75 Northrend Engineering to learn. Since Patch 8.0.1's profession skill redesign, it is very expensive to level Northrend Engineering, especially if you're not a Miner (recommend farming ores yourself).

If you're a Goblin Engineer, you've lucked out as Carica Esplosiva del Riscaldamento Globale will take you all the way to 60 Skill for a minimal amount of mats.
If you're a Gnomish Engineer, respec to Goblin or prepare to spend an upwards of 100k to level.

Once you hit skill level 70, your only options are either A.) waiting for The Darkmoon Faire (recommended as it's free) or B.) making Wormhole Generators or Epic Goggles. Both of these require 8 Lingotto di Titanio per craft, in addition to other expensive reagents. On most realms, it's about 10-20k in mats just for these last 5 skill points. There's virtually no demand for these items on the auction house either, so it's unlikely you'll be getting that gold back.

Anyway after spending all that gold you're finally able to learn Jeeves.

The Library Guardians are located at the Terrace of the Makers in the northern Storm Peaks, and are scattered across the area in vicinity of coordinates (39,41). As previously stated, ensure to right-click on the corpse to reverse engineer the defeated Guardians. For me, it took about two minutes of farming to get the schematic for Jeeves. That matches some of the comments below, but keep in mind that it could take a little longer. Now if I can get that drop rate for the Echoes of Mortality to pick up the pace!

Has anyone gotten this post shadowlands release? I am engineering classic 300 (max), outlands 75 (max), northrend 75 (max), and shadowlands 100 (max) and I have been farming this for days with zero drop. I've even tried ulduar twice now, due to some comments below, killing the three mechanical bosses, and adds, with zero drops. But mainly been farming the Library Guardians.

Just confirming that this will drop during the Chromie timeline version of Northrend.

I was a level 16 priest, Northrend blacksmithing level 1. I just used my scouting map to learn the flight points, flew to Ulduar, went to the highest point, and used a purchased goblin glider to glide across to Terrace of the Makers. The mobs are level 25 and a little tough at level 16, but I was able to get them down, slowly.

The pattern dropped from my 2nd Library Guardian salvaged.

I just got the Jeeves schematic from killing and engineering the Library Guardians nearby The Inventor's Library and Terrace of the Makers in The Storm Peaks around 38, 43.

They also dropped the quest item needed to start the quest for the Scrapbot Construction Kit which is one of the bots needed to make Jeeves.

Took me about 10 mins to get both in total and I was at 75/75 Northrend Engineering.

A very niche case, but I can confirm that you can get this schematic as early as level 10. I just got it on my level 10 twink in the Geyser Fields from salvaging the bots there. It took about 150 salvages, and my Northrend Engineering was already maxed, but I've heard that not having it maxed doesn't affect the drop rate at all. Good luck to all!

Definitely not as rare as it seems from some comments, took around 10 kills (and salvages) for me from the Library Guardians at The Inventor's Library

Not to discount the unlucky people, but the vast majority of comments seem to get it pretty quickly, within 1-20 minutes normally it seems.

Note that it will only drop from salvaging them, not just killing and looting as normal.

Was something about this schematic changed recently (last played in shadowlands) but I have this schematic learned on my warrior and crafted in my bags but I can no longer use it as it now requires 75 Northrend engineering I do not have 75 I only have 73. I remember not having to go to max because i only needed enough to craft and use jeeves. But now after comin back in dragon flight I can no longer use it and by all accounts I shouldn't be able to even know it. Does anyone know when it changed to be 75 engineering or why?
