just noticed while checking what glyphs i still need, this glyph's icon is the wrong color. it should be blue like the rest of the minor glyphs :)

In Cata this is getting changed to Glyph of the Arctic Wolf, which changes your ghost wolf to look like an arctic wolf. Kinda odd they did this in Cata and not WotLK, you know, cause the cataclysm is definitely the embodiment of snow... and ice... and arctic-ness...

Who knows, maybe in the expansion after Cata we'll get a Volcanic Flaming Wolf

Edit: It seems MoP is changing this to Glyph of the Spectral Wolf, supposedly a "large, spectral wolf". Not sure if it's a different model or rename of the glyph with the same effect.

The arctic wolf is a VERY minor change. A light color swap. I didn't notice a difference until I stood next to another ghost wolf.

Worst glyph ever. Just a slight color change.. the wolf is transparent as is. I was expecting a body make over like, penguins, turtles, etc for mages poly. Id prefer turning into Skoll. For a shaman the electricity just makes sense. Lets go elemental with it Blizz.

Can't even see the difference between this and the original Ghost wolf. Pretty sure they're the exact same model. One is a slightly lighter shade of off-white, I guess? Wow!

Instead of this model, it should be Glyph of the Spirit Wolf, which makes your Ghost Wolf form look like your Feral Spirit Wolves

The reason I like this glyph is because it doesn't do anything major. It doesn't make you look like a frost wolf howler or anything of the sort. Just a simple color change. Two thumbs way up!

i think it would be much better if the glyph would reduce the global cooldown done when casting Ghost wolf

I always take advantage of glyphs that conserve mana first, save bag space (or avoid an o.s. moment because you ran out of reagents) second, and last but not least are the glyphs that are "fun" like this or Glyph of Penguin or Monkey.

It's just that comparing original Wolf Form compared to the wonderful animation and art that Blizzard has started doing, I feel this glyph is sadly wasted by making the original clumsy version a slightly different hue.

No one has mentioned this herein, but now that all the generic NPC hunting dogs seem to be Mastiffs (I noticed this while doing Archeology in Howling Fjord and also running Old Hillsbrad), and even Stanley in Hillsbrad looks different now, I strongly feel this glyph needs to be updated.

They should just take this out entirely and make the major Ghost Wolf glyph minor instead. They already lowered wolf speed by 10%, so might as well be nice and give 5% back.

I actually had a newbie shammy convinced that its the reflection of which shield I have on me that gives this color change while in Ghost wolf...

I am very glad I read this thread before buying this useless glyph.

Ghost wolf is what I use to travel short distances and increase stealth. Unless I am in a snowy area, I would just be more visible. No sense in this really.

I do agree with posts below that there are much cooler-looking wolves to transform into.

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD

It no longer appears to make you a 'big' wolf since 6.0.2. I used to be the same size as my spirit wolves but no longer. :(

This Shaman glyph, was altered in Legion. This is applied directly to your spell, in your spellbook.
Removing a glyph: use Vanishing Powder on the specific spell, this will remove the effect, however, if you want the glyph again, you'll need to rebuy it.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it here, but you will have to re-buy this Glyph for every spec, if you want to have it active all the time.
