Funnily enough, this is an epic item. Seeing all the other items so far created for level 80's that aren't exactly epic quality... are blues going be something only given out during leveling, and as soon as you hit 80 you're only dealing with epics? (And, perhaps, we'll see legendaries become new "epics" and have an "artifact" quality item which becomes the new "legendary"?)

Currently in beta (build 8788) the Glove and Bracer sockets are only usable on your own items, while this one can be used just like the Leatherworking Leg armor kits from TBC.

All three stack with enchants, original sockets, and are colorless. The main difference between the Belt Buckle and Glove/Bracer modifications is that the Glove/Bracer modifications require you to have blacksmithing to function, so that you can't drop blacksmithing and keep the benefits. The Belt Buckle does not have this requirement.

The materials required for this buckle is 4 Adamantite Bars and 4 Khorium Bars in BC's term. From this point it doesn't look bad at all!

Who knows though? Perhaps Titanium and Saronite will be much harder to find than Adamantite and Khorium, although I very much doubt that.

Materials and name changed from those mentioned by the posters above. This now requires 4 saronite bars and 3 different primals instead of 4 saronite bars and 4 titanium bars. The minimum skill to make this has also changed; it is now 415. This should now be a very good item to make for skill ups up if the buckles sell at a profit.

All the mats for this are acquirable from Cobalt and Saronite Nodes. Eternal Water from Cobalt, Eternal Shadow from Saronite, and Eternal Earth from both.

Looks like every Blacksmith and Jewelcrafter will have easy access to these.

Blacksmiths can add a socket to their own bracers and gloves, and sell boe sockets to everyones belts.

This is a nice added benefit to blacksmiths in the expansion.

Actually us 59 twinks are geared mostly in items considered 60+. This is because Outland quest rewards and 330+ engineering items are considered as such.

Regarding the belt buckle, it can be used on 59 twinks, but only on the Nigh Invulnerability Belt so far. Other quest items that are 60+ are eligible, but this is the only one considered 60+ that is attainable before level 60 and is BOE.

Whats realy awesome about the belt, is that the mats are pretty much things that miners just get for being miners. Earth off of all nodes, shadow off of Saronite, Water off of Cobalt.

The extra socker does contribute towards a meta gem if you put the right colour gem in it. But you will not see the meta gem activated until you press "socket gems".

Just makin' sure so I don't waste money on another belt buckle; if you put a belt buckle on your belt, put a gem in the new socket, can you replace the gem, or do you have to replace the whole thing, buckle included?

WARNING: Unlike enchants or other item enhancements, the belt buckle WILL NOT ask you if you want to replace the current item enhancement. It does not remove the current gem, but it will use up another belt buckle if you try to put it on the wrong item (one that already has a buckle on it). Avoid this by double checking the item's socket bonus requirements before you put one on.

Lowest lvl item you can attach this to is Nigh Invulnerability Belt - reasons: it doesn't require a solid level, just Engineering 350 (which is attainable at 50 btw, which makes this the lowest belt with a buckle)

This belt is a SICK choice for a lvl 50 - a level 59 twink will benefit from it GREATLY, for example, imagine a +19 spell power-socket on that one, you would surely be keeping this for a while.

If you kept all those element drops that you undoubtedly got throughout levelling in Northrend, you should have plenty of the Eternal Elements by now. If you're a miner you can smith the saronite (or you can buy it if you're not). Find a blacksmith to make this and save a bit of cash. Or just buy it off the AH.

This is not extremely expensive, and the socket can hold any gem except Metas. Therefore, there is no reason you shouldn't get this.

i am confused
i have had the eternal belt buckle and sockets bracer and wrist but then come fun part..
i was a armorsmith and dropped it because i want to make weapons ..
and now both buckle and sockets are gone ..so i figured i will drop my skill again and go back to armorsmith
but now all is gone and i cant learn it anymore ..someone can tell me what is wrong pls

As a jewelcrafter I think this item is fantastic. The lack of gemmed gear in wotlk was disappointing.

Try finding a non-tier piece of gear with gems, or a weapon with gems. Sure, there are some, but it hardly makes up for the severe drawback of socketed gear.

I buy the mats for this item off the AH and get a BS to craft it for me for 5g a item. Pricing is as follows:

Eternal Water: 5g
Eternal Shadow: 3g
Eternal Earth: 7g
Labour: 5g

For 20g I can get one of these made and it sells for 40-50g, and ontop of that I make even more gold when they buy a gem for the socket. :)

This item can be created by a Blacksmiths, This item adds a Prismatic Socket to a Waist item(Belt), this socket does not affect the Socket Bonus and it can be filled with any gem color, Jewelcrafters can make their own Prismatic JC only sockets.

its unbelivable how shallow ppl are, like half of the ppl I have inspected (and I do inspect a lot :D) have +6 to all stats gem in extra socket in belt, often explaining anything is just a waste of time.

I think its worth pointing out that you cannot enchant belt slot items in any other way.

Unless you want to leave your belt exactly as you found it, this is the only way to improve a belt from when you first looted it off that boss monster =]

Before you use this, try going for the socket bonus (If one at all)

I was using a belt that was a single yellow socket that gave a small socket bonus.

I put a red socket in it, then used this belt buckle, then used a "Matches all colors" gem in it after, and I didn't get the socket bonus, so if you are going to be using more than 1 socket in your belt, try getting the socket bonus before adding this.

I'm not 100% sure of it, but unless a GM can solve it I will have to cough up like 400g to just put the sockets in other places -.-

EDIT: Got a GM to sort it, he logged me out, logged on the char, and forcefully swapped them... Nice guy :D

i just got one of these on Cintura del Vento Gelido for my shaman character, then put in a Rubino Cardinale Brillante and got Rockbiter 3 listed under Socket Bonus. Anyone care to explain what this is?

Also noteworthy, they stack in your inventory meaning when you make them you wont need assloads of bagspace to store them since they only take up one bag-slot!

In Cataclysm, this belt buckle can't be applied to any item above ilvl 300 anymore, which includes pretty much every Cataclysm drop.

Just attached this to an ilvl312 belt, if there is a cap on ilvl, it's not 300 as of now.

Working on ilvl 300+ belts. I added an eternal belt buckle to an ilvl 346 belt, put a gem in it and compared stats to make sure it counts, and it does.

What is the cast time of this item? How long does it take to cast? The Wowhead tooltip says five seconds, but it seems much faster than that. So fast, I can't see the cast bar timer.

The extra slot that you get from this is currently bugged and cannot be socketed. A fix that I found for this is to first go to socket another piece of your gear by placing a gem in one of its sockets, but then instead of clicking the "Socket Gems" button, then shift + right-click the waist, socket that and now press the "Socket Gems" button

In the BfA prepatch it happens that it work for the current ilvl because of the stat squish, so its a must have for world pvp and such.

As of 10.2.6 it states that it cannot be applied to items level 320 or higher, and I was able to add a Fibbia Rinforzata d'Acciaio Vivente to my iLevel 291 legendary Shadowlands level 60 belt. And socket it.
I could not add one of the two other buckles after that, but I assume they would've worked individually on their own as well (Fibbia d'Ebanacciaio and Fibbia Eterna).
