How long is the timer on it before it blasts the life out of you?

You pick up the bomb from a chest to the left of Tore -- just as quest says.

Tore can be found to the right of the cave entrance, a few yards away. (Cave is directly North of K3)

Notice the Timer appears beside your minimap when the bomb is picked up -- You have about 45 sec to find a mammoth and blow it up.

Do not kill the mammoth first -- select the bomb from your bag, and click on mammoth.

The pieces of mammoth will go flying, and you collect those.

A carcass will be left in the center of smaller pieces -- picking that piece up gave me 3 of the 8 pieces you need in total.

If you do not find a mammoth in the 45 secs. the bomb will go off, and knock down your health.

I did this as lvl 80 lock, and the blast didn't take more than 1/4 of my health.

It seems to be bugged for me... I use it and choose 'get a bomb', but never get a bomb, or the timer.

For all those like me for whom it did not work to relog - keep trying to pick up the bomb! :) Worked for me

I don't know if anyone mentioned this before, but if you can't seem to 'get a bomb' try standing on top of the machine itself. That worked for me and no re-log necessary.

Don't worry about the timer as the explosion hits you for around 4500 fire damage and temporarily knocks you down.

Unless you are heavily damaged this should not be a big deal

Hey guys, this little toy was just TOO COOL to not goof off with.
So I spent about a half hour playing with it :D
- Here's some neat stuff I've discovered:

1) Holding the bomb too long can have.. rather painful results. Click Here
2) Having the bomb in your inventory gives you a visual appearance of holding a bomb.
3) Draw your weapon, grab a bomb, sheath your weapon, then let it blow up. It lets you keep your weapon drawn even on a mount! Click Here
- If you also sheath your weapon again, while having your weapon pulled out you will Sheath your bomb.. for a 2h mace this bomb sheaths on your shoulder, lol.

It seems to do around 4k damage to me ( 17k hp total )
The bomb seems to last 50 seconds from pickup till explosion.

Be sure to have a BLAST with this little toy before putting it away :)
- As a goblin engineer I may NEVER turn this quest in :D

not a very hard quest, pick up the bomb find a mammoth select the bomb and click a mammoth, and the mammoth will go boom!

I find the name really funny xD Throwing some really potent bombs at mammoths here while shouting "HAHA U DED!"
