I opened Cortello's Riddle in STV and it was empty.

I think this thing is on any of the bloodsail boats in STV, I got mine off of Fleet Master firallon's boat while doing the last part of The Bloodsail Buccaneers quest. but while on that same quest, i saw the scroll on the bottom of captain Stillwater's boat, so I can only assume that it can be on keelhaul's boat as well

This does indeed spawn on the lowest deck on any of the 3 ships you are visitin while killing the 3 captains. Dont wait around in the same spot for it respawn as that can take a while.

i have the quest "sigh" still im lvl 53 needed room i looked on my map for it 1st it was in swamp of sorrows under a bridge- then i accepted the quest it said to go to dustwallow marsh "sigh" i went they were about lvl 40-45 (didnt notice) near the entrance (i had QH so it was easy) i now have to go to the hinterlands (lvl 48-51) on the coast all u really get is some exp and a 14-slot bag.

Last peice of the riddle if a fp to Arie peak/the hinterlands. travel str8 east towards the lake,it becomes a water fall down the bottom is the treasure.(16 slot bag)

Hm, i think this might be a reference to the Dark Tower series, where Cort is the name of the protagonists teacher, and Cort is extremely hooked on riddles.

A heads up to those trying to hunt for the riddle by looking for a ? it doesn't show up. You'll need to search the lower half of each boat for it.

Got mine on a barrel at the bottom level - at the bottom of the steps to the first barrel on the right. This was in the westernmost ship in STV

Locations I have found it

- Behind a Captain, on the little ledge
- On the floor of the little room adjoining the Captain's room
- On the bottom level of the ship, between the crates and pillar
- On the floor between the wall and the forwardmost cannon, can spawn either port or starboard side

NOTE: It WILL let you loot it even if you have the quest and then despawn as usual, so be careful if you are with friends looking for it.
