I highly recommend getting 20 of these before you leave the Death Knight starting area as I haven't come across anything like it yet. It's essentially a "Thistle Tea" + Health Potion for a Death Knight, and you can't beat that combination for a bit.

This seems to be the only pot that restores Runic Power, unless I am much mistaken. If I am, downrate me to hell, but please link other pot. If it is the only RP restoring pot, I can see these being farmed for, piled on alts (Unique 20, alas) and filling the AH for a hefty sum; RP is important for DK, and this can keep you abilities chugging for a fair while.

Forgot to use the other 40 skulls i had, and now that I'm done with the Deathknight quest chain, I am unable to turn them in. Tried going back to the cauldron and alas no blue '?' =(

Checked on my potion master alchemist, and my wife's elixir master alchemist, and neither have a recipe that makes runic power anything. Also went through all of the new trainer recipes and neither have anything to do with DKs.

Although with the "Northrend Alchemy Research" now available to alchemist, a runic power potion may show up eventually. Or it may drop in one of the yet to be revealed instances.

I completely agree! Alchemists should have something that can restore runic power! Even if it doesn't have the healing effect, it would be really useful.

Rogues have nothing to restore Energy but Thistle Tea, which becomes virtually useless in the later levels. Stop complaining and get used to it.

I can't really say that I've had issues with my runic power, making this item somewhat less than useful in that regard. This item seems to me more useful as a money maker. It doesn't take that long to farm the skulls for 20 of these. Then you can sell them for 10g. Rinse and repeat. You could probably make 100g in just a couple hours if you had the patience to sit there and grind.

This item stacks up to 20 times, and after you finish the frost wyrm quest, you cant get them anymore. They're worth quite a bit when you sell to the vendor, and you can buy them back if you havent sold too many items to the vendor, so if you do it right you can collect a few to last you through hellfire.

You will need 70 crusader skulls to get the full 20; 10 for the initial quest and 60 for the last 15. I suggest you farm most of it at the town hall, where there is about 30 or so citizens ripe for harvest. While you have the quest, you're pretty much guaranteed a skull drop on every kill, so hand it in the last - you can't actually advance further until you've completed the plaguebringer's request.

I don't think we should have to rely on alchemists for Noth's brew upgrades.

I think we should be able to farm heads from random undead (within a certain level range depending on your level) and deposit them in cauldrons in Acherus or the Shadow Vault, and get updated potions.

I find a decent way to farm some skulls without having to move around much is continuing to quest until you get Ambush at the Overlook, which will give you a Makeshift Cover.

You can repeatedly use the cover to kill the courier that spawns over and over. So far he's dropped a skull and money/cloth/potions every time I've killed the poor guy.
(He's not too bright either, falling for that kind of trick...)

I wish they would give alchemist a potion to be able to create something similar to these. I find that with our new battle rez, these can come in really handy. Instead of having to hurry and build runic power to rez someone, I can just pop one of these bad boys and get my rez on.

I just farmed skulls for ten minutes straight and I ended up with 110 of them I tried to get a lot of the brew and it said failed duplicate found does that mean I can only have twenty or did it glitch out?

~~Seems you can't interact with the cauldron anymore after the first time, so I can't get any more. :(~~ Works now in 9.0, last I had checked.
