Interesting. Instead of Engineers directly making the injectors, they make the tool used to convert 20 potions into an injector.

I do not get it. Does this mean for 12 Saronite Bar and 2 cobalt bolts I can turn 20 stacks of healing potions into 5 stacks of healing potions?

It's a pitty that they have not thought this item as being able to stack Runic Healing Potions or any kind of lower level healing potions. That will make it much more attractive to be sold in AH

The engineering spell Healing Injector Kit creates 5 of these kits.
Using one of these kits casts the spell: Runic Healing Injector
1 of these Kits will take 20 Runic Healing Potion which stack to 5,
and convert them to 20 Runic Healing Injector which stack to 20.
Thus each cast of this engineering recipe can convert 100 potions.

Runic Healing Pot: 2700 - 4500 HP regained.

25% = 675 - 1125

If you're in dire need of healing and hit this thing, you're already gaining only 4.5k health to begin with under best circumstances (as a tank, Naxx-10/ToC-5 geared, I have over 30k health unbuffed). Doesn't that extra 1k sound REALLY good right about then?

What you have to take into account when considering the mats cost is the sheer number of potions this recipe ends up converting in a single craft.

Base material cost for the recipe:

24 Saronite Ore
2 Cobalt Ore (worst case, the cobalt bolts recipe creates a variable amount)

The recipe creates 8 injector kits each of which converts 20 potions into injectors, so 160 injectors per craft. Dividing that out into a per-potion cost means you're spending roughly 0.15 saronite ore and 0.0125 cobalt ore a piece.

On the servers I play on saronite ore can be had straight off the AH for approximately 65s each, and cobalt ore for closer to 1g each at present. So in the end I'm paying about 11 silver per potion to consume them in injector form for the 25% benefit. Given that the potions themselves cost ~3-4g each this seems like a pretty solid deal without even considering the fact that the 25% bonus could mean the difference between success and failure in a boss fight.

Since Patch 3.2.0, Runic Healing Potions stack up to 20 by default. To compensate, engineers now receive 25% bonus healing when consuming a Runic Healing Injector which translates into 675 ~ 1125 extra HP gained.

Additionally, you now receive 8x Healing Injector Kit for each craft, instead of just 5.

Materials required to make 5 stacks of 20 Runic Healing Injectors:

100x Goldclover
200x Icethorn
100x Imbued Vial
36x Saronite Bar (or 72x Saronite Ore
6x Handful of Cobalt Bolts (or 2~4x Cobalt Bar/Ore

On a sidenote; the 25% bonus healing does not stack with the 40% bonus healing from any of the Alchemist Stones. I doubt that there are more then a handfull of players using this combination of professions though :)

huh blizz...taking away the benefits of being an engineer one step at a time at least give us some way to make money with this profession instead of 95% of items we make u have to be an engineer

I didn't see it mentioned above, but having finally got around to making some of these myself, they have the nice bonus that the injectors fit in your toolbox.

i.e. using this kit means I can keep my healing potions (in improved form) in the biggest bag I carry anyway, saving other bag space :-)
