The old repair bot, the 74A is much less expensive.

However, this one appears to have several charges,5 to be exact as well as selling high level reagents, vials, poisons, ammo etc.

also note it's name is 110G, as it costs approximately that much to make it.

In case anyone is wondering how long it will take them to farm the recipe, I got mine in about 25 kills. Wowhead droprates are skewed low for recipes that only a person with the appropriate profession can get. Judge the droprate for yourself.

Probably take a little farming to pick up your schematic unless you're pretty lucky. Day 1 on my server they were farmed pretty heavily. This morning was better. I was able to circle the camps. Between yesterday and today I probably killed about 50 of the little dudes. But I did get the schematic. Farm in the morning, you'll have better luck.

Took me 1 hour to farm. Sometimes the Gan'arg Analyzer turned friendly, so I couldn't kill them, if that happens, fly to next camp.

The mats are really cheap, because it creates 5 repair bots, not 1 like the old one.

I got my schematic after about the 8th kill. And it does make 5 charges i went and made one right away. If you are a miner it doesnt cost 110G to make you can farm all the mats easily. The primal fire is mined out of fel iron ore which you need for the handfuls of fel iron bolts.

I'd say it's worth it to make at least one for repair *and* reagent emergencies and you don't have time/rep to visit vendors outside. Having group buff and battle res reagents would be extremely useful.

Went up to BE with my rogue friend that is also an engineer. We went through 6-8 "clusters" of Gan'arg Analyzers and got the first one (20-30 min) - Then decided to try for one more drop. 4 "clusters" later and he has the drop also.

8 x 6 pr cluster = 48mobs to get it first time approx.

Just got this to drop after doing 3 sets of analyzers so we're talking about 15ish kills. Seems to be a pretty high drop rate and not too hard to farm. I leveled up from 370 to 375 making the bots.

Also, it's BoP. The robots are not BoP pretty usefull if you have several eng in your group and you spoiled the CD for any reason (struture bugs like in ZA for example). Also, as Uglie mentionned it takes you to 375 for a cheap price.

6th mob for me. It dropped and my smile shined :)
So now i'm selling this in AH like hell.
It appears that in my server there are many lazy engineers.
So 60-100g per 5 bots isn't that bad since i'm miner and mats are easy to get for me...
Also skill is easily increased from 365 to 370. It goes yellow at 370 but i was lucky that every bot i make gave me 1 skill.
So this mechanical bastard is not just handy in raids but also in peaceful times standning in AH and waiting to be taken by the lazy ones i mentioned earlier..

If you're wondering about the horribly low dropchance, it's probably because non-engineers can't see the drop, meaning that only engineers with the wowhead client, have reported the schematic drop.

I think the drop rate may be slightly scewed since peple were looting this mob long before Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G was added. Personally I got the drop after six mobs, I may just be lucky but it would seem the drop rate is well above 0.2%

I don't know why people down rated the comments that said it took a while for it to drop. I -JUST- got mine on my third trip out. Each time I killed all 6 Gan'arg Analyzers at each of the four Apexis Monuments (that would be 24 per day).

Today I killed all of them at each monument and did 3 and a half full laps.

Took roughly 130 kills. (Maybe 2hours in total). Don't worry too much though - it will drop eventually.^^

That might be 18-20 kills before I got it.

This drop has to be the easiest way to level engineering from 360 to 375. I picked it up after hitting 360 with the normal grind of goggles, flight machine, more goggles, mats, etc....

Truth be told pairing up with a bud while grinding these mobs really helps because they have a nasty explosion that hits melee when they die (dunno if it hits ranged too). Took us about an hour or so to grind the mobs till we found a drop but totally worth going back there for 3 days imo; if it hadn't dropped in that hour I would have gone back till it did.

Not only does it help you hit 375, but you can do a big favor for your guild at the same time too! 75 Repairbots, anyone?

The schematic drop percentage is wrong because it also counts non-engineers drops and since only engineers can see this it makes the drop rate seem lower.

I dont think the drop chance is quite as low as 0.3%, the other day while I was doing my BEM dailies It dropped for me. I am assuming based on this that the drop chance is a little bit higher than 0.3% as I tend to avoid those mobs because of their nasty explosion when they die and so have only killed a handful of them. Maybe it was luck or maybe the drop chance is a lot higher than people think?

This is really easy for a Protection Paladin to get, as the only ability those mobs have got is the explosion for like 400-ish damage upon death, took me about half and hour and 72 kills to get it :)

Yesterday I killed 165 of the Analyzers, today I killed 240 so far. Considering I'm exalted with Ogri'la and Shat'ari Skyguard I must have killed tons of these guys before but it has never dropped.

As a budding engineer, I got this on my 3rd cluster of the mobs. I think there are about 7 or 8 per cluster, so maybe after 15 kills or so? Really simple to get and well worth it. Not just for grinding those last points of engineering, but the item created is extremely useful. And they aren't soulbound so they are great to distribute to other engineering guildies!

I have been farming for this every other day for about 2 weeks. Takes me (lvl 80 fire mage) about 20 mins or less to make the round, including time for respawn from last round and drink/eat breaks. Oh, and the occasional sparkly (ore vein). I'd do 5-6 rounds.

So tonight, while on round 3 and waiting for a respawn, I decide to check my engineering list. Everyone seemed to have such good results with drop rate. Sure enough, there it was. No clue when I'd gotten it. I don't think I'd ever been there before. My fellow guildies talked me into dropping quests and going to Northrend as soon as I hit 68. I've only done 2 quests in that zone.

Normally, when I have looted a schematic, it gives me the warning of "soulbound" when I loot it.

And it only drops from the Analyzer guys?

The mobs that drop this can be found in 4 locations, here they are fom north to south:

31.7, 63.7
27.3, 68.4
All of which are found at the Vortex Pinnacle in Blade's Edge Mountains.

I got mine in about 5 minutes, killing the mobs starting at the farthest north and ending after killing about half of them at the last one.

Took be about 3.5 rounds of the 4 points but it dropped eventually. Just don't give up if your gonna go farm it up.

The re-spawn time on the mobs is is kinda low, I had to wait for a minuet or two between rounds.

I just got this Schematic after 7 kills on my level 70 mage. I went up to Vortex Pinnacle in Blade's Edge (the western edge of the zone), and found the guys near the Simon game pads (if you've never done the daily quests up there, there is a group quest requiring 5 people to click the lights in sequence, not fun trying to do it by yourself, as I recall way back when I was doing them on my shaman). They aren't all that close together, so even someone who is 67-ish might be able to get this fairly easily. I only ended up pulling a max of 2 mobs at once. Happy farming!

DROPS OFF OF Gan'arg Analyzer in the Vortex Summit (Western Area) of Blade's Edge Mountains.

Let me start off by saying I am notorious for my horrendous luck. So either they have changed to drop rate or this is just me, took me roughly 150 kills to get this to drop. There are four sections of the mobs in the area. There will be 5-6 of the Analyzers surrounding the crystal formation you use the apexis crystals on. Essentially they are in the North East, North West, South East and South West sections of the Vortex Summit.

I got this in less than 15 kills. You must make 2 of these (10 robots since each "make" creates 5) and save them to make Jeeves. You'll also need 2 of the 74a robots so go get it from BRD if you haven't already.

I dont know if i'm the only one who struggled with these directions. It's probably because of my unfamiliarity with BC......... anyways..... it's not by "vortex pinnacle" as it says above.. it's vortex summit. to make this simple:

Go through badlands portal in org
Go into the dark portal
Fly to Blades Edge Mountains
You should see "Ogri'la" on the farwest side of the map.
There are 4 locations of these mobs in that area. Basically north of it, south of it, then NE/SE of it. They are standing around these floating crystals.

Hope this helps someone. Oh, and it took me about 72 kills to get it. (6 guys per camp - 4 camps - AKA 10 mins)

This item still drops from the Gan'arg Analyzer mobs in Ogri'la, however Wowhead says they dont know the location. Roughly each corner of this area has an Apexis Monument with 6 Analyzers at each monument. Took me only 2 rounds to get the drop, although i suggest looting everything to make the respawn reset quicker.

Farmed for this today. Took a while. They still drop off the Gan'arg dudes, from crystal locations on the west ridge area of Blades Edge. Just rotate those 4 spots until it drops.

Like someone else said up top, STAY AT IT. It will drop, I promise.

Took me 2 1/2 circuits of visiting the 4 spawn points for the analyzer's before found it. Just keep at it and it will eventually drop...farm the crystals while waiting for respawns for something to do. :)

Sorry to gloat, but the RNG God's smiled on me today. I went after this schematic on my lvl 68 DK. I wasn't sure I could pick up the schematic since my engineering as only about 350 and didn't see in any of the comments about a minimum skill level to have it drop.

3rd Analyser, dropped! Woot.

Not often I get that luck! LoL.

But still drops as advertise, even to a mere 350 skill lvl.

Got this on my hunter this morning (max eng., 280% flying). There are four "camps" that have six analyzers each. The respawn is kind of slow. I went through and cleaned out all the camps with no drops. By the time I flew back to the first camp, only one had respawned. Within a few minutes the rest respawned at that camp, but no luck. I went to another camp and got it off the last analyzer that I killed.

TLDR - about 36 kills, 15-20 minutes total.

Got it after farming these so called "Simons Unit" for ~40 minutes. Cleared ~10-12 camps. Keep in mind that "Simons Unit" does not exist and are now called "Gan'Arg Analyzers".

I'm pretty sure the drop rate of this seems to be very small. I got this on the first mob I killed. Some camps of analyzers are friendly so just go to the next camp.

Took me about 10 kills to get one to drop from a Gan'Arg Analyzer. Can't say if it's pure luck or not, but it seems others here had similar luck.

I just got this today. The two mobs in the southern part of Blade's Edge Mountains were Friendly for me(not sure why). But the two mob groups in the northern part were Hostile, so I was able to kill them. I got lucky and I only needed to wait for them to respawn once after killing them with no drop. The drop happened for me at 33.14.51.37 from a mob called Gan'arg Analyzer.

I've read a few comments from players stating that they were able to farm this schematic in under half an hour or within a few or even their first kill. I've had luck like that before when I obtained my Dalaran Wizard's Robe, however, for this item I have been killing Gan'arg Analyzers for the better part of three days. I was lucky enough to dismantle the Jeeves schematic from an Arachnopod Destroyer and since then have been working to build and obtain the materials necessary to build it. Unfortunately, the Field Repair Bot 110G is the last thing I need in order to make 10 of them to complete the pre-requisite collection of materials. Has anything changed between when this schematic first became available and now (5.1)?

I just got the schematic for Field Repair Bot 110G on my eighth kill. I was killing Gan'arg Analyzers in Blade's Edge Mountains. However when I looked up the NPCs, Analizzatore Gan'arg, here on Wowhead to locate them, it said the location was unknown. Well, I'm going to fix that. =)

The Analyzers are found in groups of about 6, hanging out around floating crystals over cross-shaped platforms on the ground. I found four spawn locations for them near Ogri'la.

Respawn rates don't seem to be too bad, maybe 3-6 minutes. I don't know if the drop rate is actually low or not, but quite a few people seem to be getting it fairly quickly. Good luck everyone! =)

The drop rate for this is rather strange. I spent a couple of hours in the evening farming this for no avail. The next morning I got 3 of those from a first group of Gan'arg.

If you scan the other comments on here, they're dead on. I'm gathering mats for a Jeeves and I flew over to Ogri'la, found about five Gan'arg Analyzers standing under the glowing crystals, killed the mob... two recipes dropped.

sooo. I flew up and down between the different Apexis sites.. killed the 3 or 4 per site.. one time.. then got sick of it and just camped at first one by Ogri'la. .I've 3 engineers and each one has gotten it at this particular site within 10 kills (at that particular site) and that held true this 3rd time.. Wanna make Jeeves, yet not a miner so gotta rely on alt to get those Eternals (crystallized), or whatever i can't get from clouds..
on a different note.. tis sad that Gnomish Engineer (on my Goblin nonetheless (which is ok since my Gnome Warlock has Goblin 'neering (pre-Cata)), does not have a Wormhole area in Outlands..

Just wanted to give an update on this as of 5.4.8 in case anyone is wondering whether anything has changed. The plan dropped for me after 31 kills. The respawn rate appears to be somewhat longer than what others are saying. Was 8-9 minutes for me.

Just kill the Gan'Arg Analyzers for the schematic.
They are around the 4 zones with the large Apexis crystals.
Took 3 kills for it to drop for me.

Looks like the drop rate is pretty low. There seems to be only 1,2, or 3 mobs at each site. I have currently killed over 36 and still have not got the schematic.

Got today after 45 kills from the "northwestern" group of 6. I've read other people were having a problem that the mobs appeared as friendly to them and were unable to attack certain groups of them. I didn't have this problem, however. Although I am exalted with Ogri'la on another toon, that shouldn't make any difference. Either I got lucky on a non-buggy day or it is fixed. I am Alliance by the way. Good luck :)

For getting the Schema: Robot di Riparazione 110G:

The nearest flight point is Sylvanaar, in Blade's Edge Mountains. If you stand in front of the *inn*, and fly straight up, and straight west - well, as much as you can given the spikes - you will find one of the Simon Units. If you go up from the flight point platform, it's a little south.

For the Analizzatore Gan'arg, I didn't find any that were friendly. I did, however, have problems finding any at all - I think other people were also killing them. I made two full rounds, flying between all four, before I found any at all.

I didn't keep track of how many I killed, but I made 6.8gold, got Mark of Sargerasx4, Depleted Crystal Focus x2, Apexis Shard x22, Corroded Mail Belt x1, Corroded Mace x1, and raised my skinning by 10 points picking up the carcasses that other people were leaving.

A really weird coincidence just happened. I farmed about 50 of the mobs, no recipe. I had Ultimate Gnomish Army Knife in my bags.

I then got mail, my auction of Arclight Spanner expired. I sell them and new engineers sometimes buy them. I dropped a MOLL E and I picked it up.

I got this recipe off the very next mob. I presume that having an Arclight Spanner over the Gnomish Army Knife in your bags makes no difference for the drop rate, but it was an odd coincidence...

I farmed for this for a very long time without realizing that i already had it. Make sure to periodically check if you have it. can't stress that enough.

As a counterpoint to everyone saying they got it fairly quickly, it took me 122 kills. So, it may not be as easy as the comments would suggest.

Also be prepared for strange respawns. Yes, it takes 10+ minutes for them to respawn. Also, you can clear a Simon quickly, yet it might be a couple minutes from when the first mob at a specific Simon respawns to the last mob.

With the 8.0 Changes to professions, you need Outland Enginnering for this to drop.
So head to Scryer library in Shattrath and train it before going to farm these.

I learned this the hardway after spending 1 Hour farming these and having only legion enginner at 75. After training my Outland Enginnering, droped on the first mob.

This schematic can be dropped by: Gan'Arg Analyzers. They're located in Orgi'la, in the Blade's Edge Mountains, on the left side of the map. They are found where the X-shaped platforms are accompanied with floating crystals around it.

I noticed that after 15 minutes the schematic would not drop. The reason why is because I did not have engineering for Outlands (1-75). As soon as i bought it and went back to farm; it dropped the first Gan'Arg Analyzer i killed.

To get Outland's Engineering (1-75) go to Shattrath City ---> go to either the Aldor Rise or Scryer's tier for the upgrade. Or ask an guard where it's located.

Can't read the schematic having Outland Engineering lvl 25. The very last line on the schematic says "Requires Outland Engineering (60)"
Got to rise the lvl all the way up to 60.

Make sure you train Outlands Engineering prior to farming after which you should get it relatively quick. (got mine after 7 kills)
The mobs that drop this can be found in 4 locations all of which are found at the Vortex Pinnacle in Blade's Edge Mountains.

Get Outlands engineering up to 70 before farming - spent hours farming with all the other engineerings levelled up (Northrend, Cataclysm etc. etc.) Neglected my outlands engineering and as soon as I got it up to 70 the schematic dropped the first time. Willing to accept that this might be bad luck but if you are doing this in 2020 then do anything to save yourself a bit of time and do this.

I'm going to be completely honest. I created an account SIMPLY so I can do everyone a favor. If you're like me and you're going back to old content leveling professions, you already know how tedious it can be. I don't know if they've changed things or what... But these guys respawn rate is ROUGHLY 10 minutes and the drop rate is awful. I'm glad everyone got theirs on the 2nd, 8th kill, etc. But I am on kill number 96 as I type this with nothing to show for it except a TON of apexis shards. SO, if you're hunting the Field Repair Bot 110G schematic, then dig in, grab a snack and some water to hydrate because its gonna be a while.

Learn from my mistake! I went to farm this schematic with engineering and I killed over 100 of them without any luck before I realized that I never learned Outland Engeneering.
So I went to Shattrath City to learn Outland Engineering, came back to kill Gan'arg Analyzer and got it from 1st kill.

I had my engineer farming this schematic with a outlands engineering level of 35. Dropped on the second site for farming the Gan'arg Analyzer (Simon Unit) so maybe 10th mob. I was able to craft it at 60 outlands engineering.

Still drops during DF, got it on my 3rd kill. All you need to have is Outland engineering 1 and it will drop for you. In order to use the pattern you need a few more points (60) I believe.
