These drop from the hidden mobs in Skettis. I.E. Time-Lost Skettis High Priests. You'll be able to see them by using the Elixir of Shadows that is given to you by finding the Shadow Dust. You'll use these scrolls on the skull piles around Skettis.

I just found 5 of these on the AH for a 100g buyout but a 10g bid, so I bidded on them. So just so you know, these are sellable on the AH

Those items can be sold on AH if you ever get more than needed. And for a good price.

You can actually farm these for money while grinding your reputation for the Sha'tari Skyguard (http://www.wowhead.com/?faction=1031) all the way up to exalted, if you ever get more than 40.

I ended up with way too many of the elixirs to see the ghosts after I got exalted, and I had sold extra time lost scrolls off and been surprised at the gold I got, so I just farm 40 scrolls a day now until my elixirs run out - it's like 200g for very little work. Very nice.

Check the tops of the platforms, that is where I found the most Time-lost mobs.

I found the easiest way to get Time-lost Scrolls is to go to their treehouse platforms. There are 4-5 of these spirit ones on each platform and as a mage I as able to run around the platform once and Arcane Blast their beaks off.

When doing this with a friend, only 1 person has to take the elixer. The other one can just loot the dead time-lost.

anyone doing this just for REP (6/22/11)
i did the quests all npc's gave me following the steps above( cata didn't change much from this)
Use the sand to turn in for rep..
The Time-Lost scrolls to start the fights for the mini bosses u get about 110 each rep from them,But i have noticed that the spawn on the bone piles are pretty long,All mini bosses give the same rep.
The big tree guys are 33 rep,the BIG FLYING birds are 10/11 rep like the grounded birds below.
The Little FLYING birds are anywhere between 4-6 rep each.
at lvl 85 its not hard to kill fast..but just to worn u..starting out friendly is still time consuming.

I find doing this with my Deathknight was a nice fast way of getting them, I was able to get around 50-59 scrolls every 20 mins. Just thought I'd mention it.

I have been farming this since yesterday and had to go afk for a while so I logged out so as to not lose the Elixir buff. When I logged back in the Time-Lost arakkoas appeared friendly (green) but were able to attack me but I couldn't harm them. I tried relogging, removing addons etc but nothing worked until I removed the buff and drank another elixir. Today they went green for me again and I noticed that AoE can still hurt them even if they're green to you so if you get this bug just AoE them down =)

JUUUUST in case anyone wonders how many you can farm off of a single elixir these days, I just got 41 on a level 51 toon, while competing against several level 60 toons.

1. Go to Skettis in Foresta di Terokk.
(OPTIONAL FOR THE RICH ONES: if you have some gold to spend, buy at least 6x Polvere d'Ombra and as much Pergamene Preistoriche as you want - you need 10x for each boss spawn)

2. If you don't have 6x Polvere d'Ombra, then kill Guardia dello Stormo di Skettis, Calcavento di Skettis, Invocatore delle Anime di Skettis, Grinfianite di Skettis, Sacerdote dell'Artiglio Zellek, Sacerdote dell'Artiglio Skizzik, Sacerdote dell'Artiglio Ishaal, Kaliri di Skettis or Razziaforeste
until you get them. If you already have 6x Polvere d'Ombra then go to the next step.

3. Go to Severin and accept the quest Il mondo delle ombre. It will reward you with Elisir delle Ombre, this elixir works for 20 minutes and you can repeat this quest over and over
to get unlimited elixirs. Elisir delle Ombre gives you the possibility to see more creatures in the area: Adoratore Skettis Sfasante, Gran Sacerdote di Skettis Senza Tempo, Razziatore di Skettis Senza Tempo.
These creatures drop Pergamene Preistoriche, it is used to summon mini-boss: Stridente Oscuro Akkarai, Gezzarak la Cacciatrice, Karrog and Vakkiz lo Sfuriavento.

4. Fly in the Skettis area, focus on platforms and after you get 10x Pergamene Preistoriche, you can use them to summon one of the bosses that i've listed above.
You can do it in violet ritual circles, easy to localize, there are few.

5. Repeat previous step until you'll reach Excalted. CONGRATS!
