The item states:

Requires at least 2 Yellow gems
Requires at least 1 Red gem

Now this would mean that in other equipment the player is already wearing, he must have socketed 2Y and 1R gem to meet the requirements for socketing this meta gem right?

Does anyone know if the minor run speed increase stacks with increased run speed talents? For instance....fleet footed rogues?

Ok i know that it doesn't stack with talents...but does it stack with a minor run speed increase to boots or some other enchant?

"8% run speed increase is the maximum amount you can have, talents, buffs and everything combined"

pretty sure this statement is wrong since Hunters get Cheetah and that alone is a buff that gives 30% run speed. And if you spec into in in BM spec you get up to 38%.. the question is will the runspeed stack with it and make you go 46% faster

Something people seem to overlook about metagems is that the required gems also must match the color of the slot they're in. You can't just toss your gems on all crazy and expect it to activate.

Was thinking about the meta gem req's . I am aware that its the gems color that matters, not the socket color.

So lets say its a Meta gem with req
2x red
2x blue

Would it work to socket lets say
Frozen shadoweave Shoulders which have
1 blue socket
1 yellow socket

Lets say i ignore the socket bonuses and just put in 2x Glowing Nightseye. Would that give me credit for having 2x Red and 2x blue gems ?

Or do i actually have to have totally 4 gems on my gear with matching colors ? Or does gems with multi color use count for both colors in an example like this ?

When someone links you the Gem... its like they linked you the one in thier bags.. "including what thier Qualifications are"
its not that you cant.. you need to obtain the gem and attempt to socket it.. dont Socket.. just place it inside.. and see if it gets you your activated bonus.. thats the only way your going to be sure. i plan on useing this daimond on my pvp helm till i get my epic gear. helm = http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28837 i dont even need to account for the other gem slots i have.. because those pants will cover the rest.. "even though the other gems slots i have "just assure that this metagem will work :

EXAMPLE:
1 Red socket on the helm= Subltle Living Ruby = .42% dodge per gem
2 Yellow Sockets on Pants = 2x ridgid dawnstone = .80% hit rating Per Gem

Would This Stack with ? Or any 'Boots Speed' enchant?
Because it would be nice to easily get out of that 6 yard "Out of range" area that is so fun in PvP when trying to kill somebody running away.

~~As of 6.0.2, this along with other movement speed increasing items such as Lama Runica del Barone Fieramorte and enchants (+speed on Cloak/boots) do now stack additively. More info.~~ Just kidding! Nerfed in 6.1 to no longer stack past 10% unless you have +speed stat gear, was fun for the short period it lasted.
